As first time riders, we came here looking for a bike for my S.O and myself. We were greeted by Robert who was new but very personable and friendly. Jeff an assistant sales manager also assisted us , who was kind as well. We test rode a 883 and 48. My girlfriend loved the 883 and we selected a used one and got it to a price where it was fair and a solid deal Chatted with Jeff about what I wanted for the bike since I was paying in cash full. Again he got me to a number I liked and I was sold on the purchase. I loved the 48 and am excited to get it purchased! The only current Hangup is that I am preferring the bike have ABS , which is an option. UPDATE: Unfortunately , they did not have the model with ABS I was wanting. They were totally understanding (they had my sale but the abs was the deal breaker) but regardless Rob and Jeffrey L were both professional and treated us with respect and no pushy tactics. UPDATE 2: So my girlfriends used 883 had a low battery this morning. After speaking with Tony at parts , he totally understood and mentioned to try a battery tender and if that didn't work he would get us a battery no charge due to it being a very recent purchase. If I could give no stars or minus stars I would. I don't know why when I'm buying parts from here it's always a issue. They will not even take a return that I did online through them. They want me to do all the foot work. Yesterday the parts manager was not helpful what so ever. He told me read the back and it clearly states. "you can return items for free to the H-D dealership that is the selling dealer for your online order" but nothing still. I'll never waste another dime here. Beware this H-D location is a rip off. They even couldn't fix my brothers bike and the "mechanic" who allegedly fixed it didn't have a license to give it a test drive. EDIT 2! 1st) they deleted my Facebook review so that set me off a little bit. Anyway!! Since we were out of town all weekend hubs went to pick up the bike today (6/28 10 days after the initial drop-off). They told him the appearance package was done, that only 1 tech did them and he was only there on Sundays (in which they are CLOSED AND they had the bike for 2 Sundays and it still wasn't done!). There were still bugs stuck to it! While he was there, I was on the phone with Emilee (not sure of her role there, though) She said if there were bugs on it still, they did not do it. Also told me that it is NOT a ceramic coat like we thought (well like we were told by the financing guy) it's just a wax polish, that they charge OVER $600 for! Since when is this ok??? Seems very bait and switch-ish to me! He (Hubs) will be contacting Bob to get that money back! It's maybe MAYBE $50 in wax polish, and that's being SUPER generous! So to sum it all up, they had the bike for over a week and the only thing done was an oil change. Said there was only 1 tech there that could do the package. Do you mean to tell me that no one could wax a damn bike?? Glad it didn't get done, now we will get $607 back! Absolutely will never do business with them again other than what we have to do! P.s. I got through to Emilee's first call though I was on hold for 20 mins because she was in a meeting with the GM I'm not doing that "take a message" bs again! He'll most of the time they don't even answer the phone! We would NEVER buy a bike here again. something so simple and we can't get an answer at all. I always get "the service dept is at least 2 deep per person" even after they JUST open. like within minutes of them opening. I get the same runaround! seriously starting to wonder if they messed up the bike and are waiting to get it fixed before getting back to us. Currently, I have been waiting for someone, ANYONE to answer, for 8 mins. this is my 9th call of TODAY! 3 yesterday! my husband called 3 times yesterday. once today (since I've been trying to handle it for him) and I'm about to just drive down there and get the damn bike. finished or not! if they can not get to it promptly, JUST SAY SO! I cannot stress enough how I would avoid this dealership. We bought our Street Glide there because they had the one we wanted and their sales team was reasonable. That being said, we also purchased the VIP package, with all services paid for and free tires for life. Let me tell you, I would rather pay for service than be ignored at the service desk (3-4 times, this is not just a one time experience), and then charged over and above our free tire and free hour of service to the tune of $400 to replace our "free" tires. When we asked for a time estimate, they said, "well, it will be at least a couple hours". They could have done so much more to be customer service friendly and recommended we go have a drink and a hot dog, anything but acting like we were an inconvenience after sitting on the side of the freeway for almost two hours waiting for a tow due to our flat tire. Recently we had our Harley backed into. Avalanche was absolutely no help. They quoted 45 days minimum to get a stock black fender in. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in any industry, period, and we are "VIP". We called Mile High Harley and they were incredibly helpful on the phone. They were a fraction of the cost, a fraction of the time to get the part, referred us to a tow company and acted like they valued our business. If we ever buy a new Harley, it will be through Mile High. We will only ever go to Avalanche for our paid services and (not) free tires for life. They also provided horrible financing, wore us down so we finally left with the bike but buyer beware. Safe riding! read more

Horrible customer service. Purchased an air suspension from them. After installation found the the system would not air up. After receiving 3 sets of replacement parts I was finally able to get the system to air up, but then found that the system would not reliably air down. Contacted them about exchanging for a more reliable system and they basically said ~ Too bad, you purchased it, it's yours. Further they went on to say they do not except returns of electronics which was never portrayed prior. The leather meets the road! To whom it may concern, I have been a Harley rider for some 30 years now. I was a customer of Rocky Mountian Harley for most of that time starting with them when they were in Englewood on Broadway. Now, I have my youngest son riding a fat Bob. His mother-in-law last Christmas gave him $100 gift card she purchased from Rocky Mountian Harley, today he decided he wanted to use that card and because Rocky Mountain is now closed he went up to avalanche Harley to purchase a leather jacket he had his eye on. A leather jacket he normally would not have purchased, but now he had that gift card burning a hole in his pocket. So I made the ride with him. He showed me a $500 and some change leather jacket! Yes! A leather jacket over $500.00! When he went to purchase the jacket and use his gift card the manager denied the card saying it wasn't purchased at avalanche Harley so it's no good! This just seems crazy to me, but I guess I'm old school. Why would a Harley dealership want to turn away $400 for a $200 jacket and future business is beyond me! The manager suggested he email Rocky Mountian Harley as they are still taking emails apparently. If this is truly the case why wouldn't the manager do the emailing seems like solid customer service. Making a long story short as I was walking out the sales associate asked me how I was doing and I let him know that I was unhappy with the service that I just experienced explained this all to him mentioning that the word on the street is that Harley Davidson seems to be struggling with sales you would think they would want to retain customers not let them walk out the door like they were doing to us that day. His answer was classic well we just sold 80 bikes last month! I'm sure that's the same attitude Rocky Mountian Harley had! As I said I've been around the motorcycle business for years even having the pleasure of riding with Jon Davidson as well as personal friends with the Wadell's from Performance Cycle and Let It Ride! These are folks that actually know how to retain customers. They for sure will be getting our business and business of anyone I can talk to. read more

Unfortunately I have to write a negative review for this company and Harley as a whole. I got suckered in their VIP service program and regret it. I would cancel the plan and take a prorated refund immediately but of course that's not an option. At the end of June I had called in to schedule having my bike picked up, a 15K Service, a 30 point Pre-trip Inspection, Wash/Detail and then dropped back off. All of which were included in the VIP program I signed up for. In mid July I was going on a week long, 1600 mile trip and needed it done before then. The scheduled pick up was July 6th 2022 between 9am-12pm. By 12 no one had showed up or called so I called into the service department to find out what happened. The man I spoke to (wish I remembered his name) looked up my information and confirmed that it was scheduled for pick up. I asked him when it would be picked up, why the large 3 hour pick up window was missed and informed him that I had other things to attend to that afternoon. His response insinuated that he simply didn't care. He told me that he didn't know why it wasn't picked up or when it would be and suggested I just "hang tight they're probably not far behind". He didn't bother calling/asking anyone else or actually attempting to find out when my bike would be picked up. So I waited... 3 pm rolled around and still nothing. I called back in and requested to speak to a manager. The operator attempted to forward me to 3 or 4 different managers (how many are there?).. regardless, no one would answer. She took a message and said someone would call me back. No one ever called me back and at that point I had wasted my entire day waiting for someone to pick up my bike that never did. I called back in the next morning asking to speak to a manager again. And of course, no one was available. Eventually a woman named Sarah from the service department called me back. She was kind enough and seemed to care but didn't have an explanation for why my bike hadn't been picked up or why no one had called to let me know. They did get someone out to pick up my bike, the work was supposedly done and brought back out to me. The wash and detail was done poorly, there were still bug guts in various areas and new swirls in the gas tank. I rewashed the bike myself and will have to polish out the swirls. This makes we question the quality of the rest of the work or if it was even done. A customer service manager eventually called me while I was already on my trip. But didn't have anything to say other than I'm sorry for your poor experience... Gee thanks for making it right. I like the motorcycle but I've had more than one bad experience with Harley dealerships. My bike will never be touched by a Dealership again. I will do all maintenance myself. I highly regret falling for their bullshit service program and recommend that everyone else learns to service their own bike to avoid this headache. read more

Was looking into a trade for a New Harley but what made us go to Avalanche Harley was that they take anything on trade so we where going to trade are camper. At first they offered us a deal but as a purchaser you try and wheel in deal. We tried to get a bit more but then they dragged there feet. I know why, it was the last day of the month and they purposely waited for the first so they didn't have to give any more off the deal or more for are camper. They extremely lowball are trade! Very disappointed. We went to Sun Harley and there deal was around the same but they did dick us around. They where straight shooters. So I recommend Sun Harley. I saw a Ultra Glide Standard on line for 15,588. Was going there to pick up and part and was VERY interested in the bike. I have outside financing arranged in advance and was ready to make a deal. However, the bottom line price I was given was 17,999. The difference is dealer fees. What bullshit! I call it bait and switch. I was willing to go 16K plus tax. I understand that dealer fees come with using a dealing (which I don't have to do) but over 2K? Plus I am ALWAYS leery of dealers who will not post prices. I hate the click here for price. Took my 2022 Road Glide in for its 5k service, the bike has 4500 miles on it. This service is basically a full fluid change. After the service, I got a call from their service department that my bike was not running well, e.g. running on one cylinder. Three weeks later I got my bike back. During that three weeks they literally stopped taking my calls, no communication during this time. At the end of three weeks their cause for the issue was bad spark plugs. I can't express what a bad experience this was, this is a bad service department. When I bought my bike from these guys, I bought the VIP pre-paid service package - what a waste of money because I will never take my bike back to this service department. I own other brands of motorcycles too, and have experience with other dealers in the Denver area, so I do have a frame of reference of how a good dealership and proper service department work. Stay away from this dealership, they are bad news. read more

We recently purchased 3 motorcycles from this dealership. Nathan was awesome! Finance on the other hand had difficulty with ensuring all paperwork was signed and completed in one sitting. It took them 3 times with us. And that's after us leaving at 12:30 AM!! We requested to have the rider courses included in our purchase! The rider course happened after calling the manager who is in charge of organizing the classes several times. This manger is rude and condescending! Don't recommend him at all. As a short female who has NEVER rode her own bike, I thought I was choosing the perfect way to learn. When I showed up at the class I told the trainer the bike was too big for me. The training course even had a small hill.. Urgh talk about feeling defeated... The bike I purchased was custom fit to me. When I told the mgr I could not physically complete the class and the trainer agreed their bikes were not a good choice for me, the manager laughed on the phone! Still have not heard back from him.. great follow through! Harry, the GM, find a new training manager! I've tried calling Harry a few times and have not received a returned call to date. I was even transferred to Emily the Customer Service Manager who at the time seemed to understand my frustration, I have yet to hear back from her also. This dealership has no management responsibility or follow through! I would highly suggest you don't buy a bike from here! I had a great experience in the whole store except for when it came to the service dept. Buckle up... Matt I think his name is. Can't remember the name of the other two associates. I come in because my turn signal clip broke(350.00 part). I had to buy a whole new control no big deal. I go to service and set up a appt to drop my bike off. I am quoted 550.00 give or take for the part and install. Pay for the part and will pay for the labor when I pick up. Set a date and time, see ya then. The drop off day... Matt proceeds to ask me if I want my 1k service done. (880 miles) I said "well I bought the bike from thunder mountain and have a protection plan through them, So I'll just take it there" He responds " oh no worries we can do it here since you can get your bike serviced at any Harley dealer" (I guess this is True enough) I said again "I didn't buy it here, I bought the bike at Thunder mountain and have a service/protection plan through them with my loan. He repeats himself. "Any Harley dealership" I would only buy from thunder mountain, but I couldn't pass up 1k service so close to home. EASY choice. So I get it all set up. A quick turn around to pick up and boom the bill is basically 1k. So I was questioning the cost etc...They then mention that the 1k service is on the bill. I flat out said "I am not paying for that" We rehash the conversation of where I bought the bike and the plan etc. Matt then says "well your plan isn't with us" Well no s**t. He grabs his supervisor( manager is out) The supervisor, out of know where offers me the part and labor as warranty. Nice right. Then turn around and give me a bill for about 500.(The 1k service) I told them again "No way am I paying this". Then they get upset and then offer to cover the 1k service but not the part install and labor. Nearly lost my mind and said "so now it's not on warranty?!?!"A few minutes of point less talk goes by then they finally state that "the bike is being cleaned and ready to go" A few more minutes go by and then the parts manager comes out and try's to stick me with the bill again. I said "I'm not paying that and your service guy released the bike to me already" I take my bike and I leave. The next day I take my motorcycle to the wash and start my pre/post ride ritual, to detail my bike. I start to notice small scratches all over my tank, the rear finder, and on the headlight frame...Fine and small but deep enough no detailing is going to help. I failed to give my bike a through check during pick up. In haste and close to blood red anger I left quickly. That's on me, so I'm stuck with a beautiful motorcycle and more scratch's than miles, I won't let this childish act of frustration or whatever weakness it takes in someone's mind to intentionally cause damage to someones bike. I'll write about it and tell anyone who asks, the shame of a service philosophy they hold in that dept. On the hunt for my second Harley. I found the new location for Avalanche Harley perfect for my location, and the setting in the foothills is really nice. Over a two week period, I was taken care of by Parker. He was very patient as I tried to decided on a model, new or used, and the financing. The place is huge. A complete basement/garage below with hundreds of bikes, not just the showroom. Once I finally decided on a bike, I was taken care of very well by the sales management. I found the personal meeting of the various departments very good. Each person walked me over and introduced me to a particular department head. I received tours of each department. Really impressed with the service department. I was walked thru engine break-in, care, maintenance, parts, upgrades, clothing, etc. It made me better educated on what I needed to do to care for and upgrade my new Softail. The closing was very good. Peaceful and stress free setting. And the "ringing of the bell" once closed and welcome to the Avalanche HD Family (greeted by each employee) was a great touch. The next day, I had to bring in some paperwork that was put in my packet by accident. I was extremely impressed with a salesman (that looks like the actor that plays "Tig" on Sons of Anarchy) greet my by my first name. It caught me off-guard, as I had never met him. Outstanding. Since the close, I have been contacted by several different people from Avalanche asking about my bike and if there's anything that needed to be addressed. Outstanding. Obviously not forgotten. I look forward to riding up to Avalanche HD upgrading and enjoying my new Heritage Softail for years to come. read more

So, as a follow-up to the purchase of my motorcycle earlier this summer, I wanted to give some additional kudos to Randy Jensen at Avalanche HD. When I purchased the bike, I had to have a second FOB programmed by Avalanche HD because the second FOB and key couldn't be found. When I returned home, I attempted to have a second barrel key made but, the dealership could not duplicate it. However, a few days ago, Randy called to inform me that they found the missing second key and FOB during an audit. It would have been easy to just toss these items because I would never have known the difference. But, that's not the way Randy rolls....he made arrangements to ship the key and FOB (still in factory wrapper with serial numbers) to me. This is another example of Randy going way above and beyond with his customer service skills. As I mentioned in my first review, Randy is the best thing going for Avalanche Harley-Davidson. The sales side is great here and I would recommend Cayden to anyone. The service side needs some improvement, however. The approximate date of service was 03/2021, if there have been improvements made since then, great. My digital speedometer went out on my 2020 FXST shortly after I bought it. The service advisor did not keep me up to date on the status of my bike and when I called, they kept promising me it was next in line or in the shop. After finally talking to the service manager, the customer experience manager, and even the general manager it finally made it to the shop for its repair. I was told the hang-up was on a back-ordered digital speedometer. Turns out there was actually a short in the wiring. Had they diagnosed the problem the first time, it would have saved a lot of delays. The service manager offered for my first maintenance to be free of charge. Let's put it this way, I'm not taking my bike back there for service. Even free of charge. That said, It's a bummer because now I am forfeiting my free tires for life. Oh well, the cost of tires is cheap compared to the headache I get from dealing with their service department. read more

The tried to run a scam on me offering me a $2000 gift card but added $8000 to the price of the new bike. They advertise 115 % of Kelly Blue Book but offered me significantly lower than Kelly BB. I not confused about the numbers I had copies of the current Kelly BB on my trade in and J.D Powers current market for the new bike. I told the guy in finance he was way on his numbers he got aggressive and loud with me.. The sales man Greg Wolf did nothing so he must been involved in this scam. I calmly put my hand out the the finance guy and told him were done he refused to shake my hand and continued his loud rant so I left. I would have bought the bike if they not tried to run this scam on me. Their greed lost my sale and I will not purchase a Harley Davidson in the future. read more

5 stars to the salesman Dean. 2 stars to the rest of the process. This was my first bike, and Dean made the process super fun and easy. He was patient with all of my questions, ensured that I got on a bike that was a good fit, and was quick to respond to phone calls and questions after I purchased. Dean is a rockstar, definitely ask for him if you're interested in a bike. That being said... the rest of the process dragged on for hours. Once we decided on the bike, it took HOURS to finalize the paper work and do the financials. I sat around for 2 hours at one point waiting to go upstairs and finalize the deal... nearly thought about walking out. Dean was awesome throughout however- super apologetic for the wait, and he was sure to check up on me periodically and make sure I was all good. Summary-- Dean saved the day, and was the only reason I hung around to purchase the bike. If it wasn't for him, I likely would have walked out. I don't know if they were severely understaffed in the financial department, but I felt like I was getting close to having to beg them to take my money. 10's of thousands of dollars and they had me sitting around like some chump. Give Dean a raise... he saved the sale that day with his friendly demeanor and expansive knowledge. read more

Once my bike was done he came out and looked at an issue I was having with my signal brackets and immediately noticed I didn't have the right brackets after attempting to screw them in. He went out of his way to ensure I got the parts and ordered them. All the while being super nice. I used to be a big Avalanche Harley-Davidson fan. In fact, I have purchased three bikes there and I always buy the service plan and VIP service. I just had two of my bikes serviced in the last three weeks and honestly, I don't think they touched either one of them. The 2017 Heritage Classic went in for the 1000 mile service. Part of that service was to adjust the clutch because reaching neutral was nearly impossible when the bike was warm. I got it back and it's exactly the same. The 2014 VROD Muscle went in (there for a week) for a complete detail and radiator flush. It has the exact same water spots on the chrome as it did when they picked it up from me. You know how you can tell if your bike was serviced or not, when it comes back fixed and shiny like new? I just have that really strong gut feeling corners were cut and service was not performed in a complete and through manner. When I tried to purchase my 4th bike (CVO Pro Street Breakout) I was arguing over nickles and dimes (thousands of them) to death and they tried to get a ridiculous amount for the bike. Sun sold it to me for MSRP with no hassle whatsoever. Something has happened to this dealership and it's all negative. I'm done with Avalanche until they figure out that all customers are important not to mention repeat customers. If you want a great experience, visit Sun Harley-Davidson and give these guys a miss. In reading ALL the negative reviews I noticed that Avalanche ONLY responds to the positive ones. These guys have like 5 dealerships and the most unhappy customers I have ever heard from. I got bait and switched on a "blow out" price on a used bike. Went on a test ride, told them I wasn't going to need financing. By the time I got back they brought paperwork over showing the price as $1000 more than the internet price. The pulled up the site and sure enough, during my test ride, they raised the price by $1000. Either this was a bait bike to get someone in the door or they weren't interested in selling at the original price if no financing was going to be involved. Absolutely the **WORST** H-D dealership I've ever experienced. Was in there last weekend, asked the price of a CVO, Ultra, the salesman said in the 60's. I asked him what the MSRP was, got I dunno. The price from HD is $43,949.00. Best advice I could offer is go up there to figure what color/model you'd like and than go over and see Reed@SUN H-D. I'm surprised their sales horse shit is even allowed by H-D Corporate. This same scenario happened to me back in 2012. read more

Beautiful big shop with a good selection of merchandise. I always wonder...what percentage of folks are stopping by to actually consider a bike purchase and who are stopping by for a branded shirt like us? Haha. The showroom floor was well-stocked. We were greeted by many folks on the way in and ended up purchasing more branded merch here than other locations. read more

Worst experience ever. It started off okay. I got pre-approved and sent them all the info they requested. I went to look at the different bikes they had and was told the banks are having issues and they would call me in 3 days. Little did they know I had cash in hand to purchase the Motorcycle I picked out, but I like to see how a company treats me (a younger person) before I give them my money. I never head from them and tried to call them back multiple times. I went to another company and bought my Motorcycle that week because the other company was willing to follow up and actually wanted a sale. I would steer clear from this place if you actually want to be treated like a human. read more

I went in after talking with a salesman a few times over about a month or so, interested in a used bike they had in inventory. Finally ready to pull the trigger. After looking at the bike and giving them the information on my trade-in I was ready to talk seriously. Their numbers guy approached me with handwritten numbers on a sheet and informed me they would offer a ridiculous, insulting amount for my trade, far below blue book trade-in value, and about 1/7th of what I could get for selling it on my own. Then was absurdly high on the price for the used model (I'd seen two years newer going for about $3k less than what they initially wanted). Okay, we're negotiating, I'll make an offer way below what I'm willing to pay and hope he meets me somewhere closer, and maybe they'll offer a little more on the trade. He takes the numbers back to his boss. Then proceeds to make we wait for over 90min! The original salesman I dealt with checks on me and asks me to be patient. He finally comes back with updated numbers and only came down about $900 on the selling price and feeds me a line about how he has "money tied up in it and can't go lower." At this point I've wasted the majority of my afternoon and nothing fruitful has resulted from our negotiations. As I'm leaving empty handed, not taking a used unit off the lot that's been there for at least 3 months, the guy has the nerve to be condescending to me. I was fully expecting to be loyal to this dealership, as I've been there for service before and had got experiences. After waiting for several hours, being extremely low-balled on my trade, and no wiggle room on their price whatsoever, plus the overall attitude of their employee, I'm done going here. They've lost a customer for life. read more
