We called Avalanche, they told us to call the driver and if they can't return for the rest of the missing order Avalanche would refund us--we are feeding 11 people! Problem- Why should we be calling the driver to rectify the issue?? We ordered through Avalanche website!! You would think they would confirm delivery before driver took off. We called driver and he was willing to return and grab rest of order. We called Avalanche back to make sure driver picks up the rest of order and they said they would throw in some free sodas. So in the end, we are square, but I'd suggest that Avalanche needs to confirm their orders, before their delivery people leave. read more

We came in at the right time on a late Saturday night. We wanted some pizza to bring back to the hotel. We ordered 4 slices of Hawaiian pizza alongside with some garlic bread. The pizza was already made, so it was quickly placed inside the box for us. The garlic bread took 8 minutes. There was a long of people after us but the sales associate remembered the garlic bread sticks for us. The breadsticks were sheet yummy! Some of the best I have ever eaten. Located in the Whistler Village area this is a great spot to pick up some New York style pizza. Instead of waiting in the line, I opted to place my order online and got a whole pizza to share with my kid. Just got a simple cheese pizza and they had it ready and waiting for me. By the time I walked to the restaurant from my hotel, which was nearby. Cold wet summer day on the Westcoast is typical and calls for an evening of take out pizza! So of course we order from Avalanche pizza for their large selection and optional gluten free crust! We ordered an XL regular crust Meatlovers pizza and it was huge! The crust is thick and crunchy with a good amount of chew without giving you lockjaw like some! Generously topped with an assortment of meats, you'll have enough for breakfast or lunch For smaller appetites or those with wheat sensitivities, the gluten free crust is great. It's crispy and thin, a little on the chewier side than some I've had, but nonetheless a good crust. After ordering two slices, I was happy with the price of 6 CAD. We took a seat at one of the three tables. Each were dirty with salt and pizza crumbs. Both pieces were weird. One looked as if it was a mushroom pizza but also had gorgonzola on the top but not on the bottom. It was so bad, I couldn't finish it. The other piece was mushroom and bacon, however the sauce had a funky taste to it I was not able to place. We ordered a 14" deluxe pizza here, and it cost roughly $28 Canadian, which I believe is about $20 USD. In all honesty, this is way too much for a pizza, but you have to remember two things: 1. Canadian food prices are higher than America's prices on average. 2. This is sort of a luxury resort, so the fact that food prices are high is not really surprising. Still, the pizza here was only okay. We ordered and we were quoted at a 20 minute wait, so we took a spin around the grounds. This definitely wasn't some of the best pizza we ever had but wasn't bad either. They sell pizza by the slice which was what we were after. Split a few different pieces, got two dipping sauces and a drink for $15 or so I think. The gal at the register was nice even though it was busy. We had to sit outside in the cold as this spot is very small so be prepared to do that or stand if it's winter. There are several pizza places so give em a try. read more

It's filling and heavy on the carbs when you're trying to store fat for a day on the slopes. The sauce is a basic tomato sauce, and amount cheese was a little on the thin side. I had the pepperoni and the spinach sausage pizza. Both toppings added some flavor, but nothing exceptionally savory. They mostly sell by the piece, so some may be sitting around for a while. I made my choice based on the ones that looked like they came out of the oven. They were still hot and fresh tasting. If you're not picky, I'd do the same. Organic crust! It was very crispy and tasty. The toppings didn't slide right off the pizza like other places. It had a lot of flavor and you couldn't even see that there was a crust. So for those of you that don't care for crust this pizza can just be eaten whole! The meat pizza had spicy peppers on it which had a good kick to it. The vegetarian was really good too and didn't taste like you were just eating bland vegetables.
