We order one big size pizza half chicken ranch and half veggie both of them with not enough cheese and not fresh as well. We order the cake for desert and I asked if it's like lava cake and when got here was a regular chocolate cake, not good. Some of the best resort pizza I've had. In the Festivus Spirit, I brought down a pistol of Pyrat rum and shared it with the guys down there stuck on Xmas Eve. This is incredible pizza right in the heart of Whistler Village right by my hotel, I ordered two pizza's and twenty minutes later they were ready. The pizza is done in a semi dish type style which is great as the crust is not super thin. This is a great place if you want to take a pizza back to your hotel, Woohoo I am a fan ! read more

The smell of hot pizza on a freezing cold whistler day is intoxicating and they trick you by pumping out good smells. Even bad pizza smells great. but the flavor never backs it up. Pizza here is some of the worst that I have ever had, anywhere. They know that tourists will dine here once and whether they like it or not they will likely never come back so the food doesn't have to be good. I've eaten here twice and each time the pizza is undercooked with uncooked dough and cold spots throughout. maybe it's called avalanche cause the toppings and uncooked cheese slide right off the pizza like a slab of snow off blackcomb. We stopped in on a rainy saturday night and ate the dregs of the day. Old pizza, gross looking pizza, but NOTHING was open in the village. They do not re-heat it for you, and it's cold chewy but edible. I saw the remnants wrapped up in their beverage fridge for the next day, two slices of each kind of pizza wrapped in saran just waiting to be sold at full price to some sucker like me haha. There was no menu or way to easily decipher the pizzas, they did not have cheese pizza available, the place was messy and did not have napkins, and the pizza I did get featured not-quite cooked potatoes on it. I went to Avalanche Pizza at their Whistler Village location mid-afternoon on a Friday. I was pleasantly greeted by a very friendly gal, unfortunately she was kinda hard to understand. I approached the cash register and saw about 2 pizzas of various slices arranged, and not looking the freshest. The clerk informed me what the 6 types of sliced pizza were, I choose the easiest to understand (Chicken Bacon Ranch) and Pepperoni. Two slices and a soda was nearly $10...not bad for Whistler. I particularly like that their crust is made from Organic ingredients. The chicken bacon ranch was very good, pretty fresh, what looked like a lightly herbed crust, a flavorful ranch sauce with chicken, and bacon. The pepperoni pizza was probably good about an hour earlier. This slice had grown tired, I wish it had been discounted, as it should have been. The toppings had aged (not in a good way) and gotten dry and tough. Avalanche is a little place down a hallway in the middle of a building. It's worth finding, just be careful of pizza by the slice that has outlived it's palatable shelf-life. read more

I realize everything in Whistler is more expensive, but 3.50 for a slice of pizza? Ouch. But whatever, I was hungry and it was there so I gave it a shot. First off, I ordered a veggie slice and found bacon on it. When I asked for a new one, he gave me one that was baked next to a pepperoni slice so it had pepperoni baked into it as well. When I asked if it was possible to get any that hadn't touched meat he just shrugged. Don't waste your money here! Does washing your hands before serving food after relining the garbage seem important to you? If it does don't go here. First off we ordered pizza by the slice which was ok, it's tuff to mess up pizza. Here is where the mistakes happen...I ordered caesar salad and chicken fingers. Yes I know chicken fingers at a pizza place, what are you thinking??? They were rubber and uneatable! While eating my salad the girl pulls the trash out, then relines the can. Ok no big deal right, cleaning up is good. But then she walks right over to the pizza and handles it with bare hands!!! Bare hands that just came out of the garbage. I lost my appetite right then. I will not be going back here with all the other pizza joints right next door. Also there is no longer free WiFi and they didn't accept our edge card for a discount. :( read more

This place is great! One of the few affordable options for food in town. We got 2 slices of pizza, 3 Bucks. Woo! The owner Rick is super cool and friendly, we bumped into him a few other places around town. The pizza itself was great, and like I said, the price was right! I checked in on Yelp and promptly forgot to use my check-in deal for Buy one Slice and a drink and get one Slice free. I will have to use it next year when we go back! If you like frozen pizza you will love Avalanche Pizza. I am 54 years old and can honestly say that I have never had a pizza from a restaurant that was worse than this one. We ordered it for delivery. It arrived in about 70 minutes, cold. As soon as we opened the box we were hugely disappointed. It looked like a frozen pizza and it tasted like one as well. Bland. The toppings were sparse and basically the same color as the crust, which appeared to be one of those pre-formed things one buys in the frozen food department. I asked for fresh tomatoes on the side and instead of slices I received a couple of tablespoons of chopped tomatoes like what you get in salsa. In fact I have had better frozen pizzas. Eat the pizza and pay with cash. We arrived in Whistler too late to take our young kids out for dinner, so we called for pizza. They said it would be delivered to our hotel in 45-60 minutes. 120 minutes later I had given up, when the delivery arrived. The pizza was still hot, even at minus temps outside. The delivery guy had to write down my credit card number on a scrap of paper to take my payment, which is never a good idea, but I didn't have cash. I had a bad feeling, but I was grumpy and starving by that point. The pizza itself was actually very good. BUT- within 48 hours my credit card company called me with 3 fraudulent charges. Someone had made 3 charges to X-Box online. Of course I can't definitively prove these guys did it, but I just have a feeling... Bottom line: eat the pizza and pay with cash. read more

They ended up calling at 7:50pm saying they are sooooo sorry and they'd deliver a "fresh"(?) pizza in about 20 or 25 minutes. 35 minutes later they show up and charge full price ($32 for an 18'). They were crazy busy when I called to order pizza for my group of six. The gentleman who answered the phone was polite, professional, and had a sense of humor about how busy it was. I ordered 3 pizzas, and one was gluten free. Right about the time we were expecting delivery, a fire alarm went off at the condos. After the alarm was cleared, our delivery showed up. He could have easily given up, but he came back, and the pizzas were still warm (-10c outside at the time). The pizza was good and the gluten free crust was tasty as well. I paid at the door, the card reader was broken so luckily I had some cash on me. Once we got the box inside we realized the pizza was cold. Looking at the label it was labeled 45 min prior to delivery. When I called they were very rude and told us that the pizza guy had "a lot of other deliveries". Thanks for the help and waste of money.
