Why is ALL the vegan food that we've had in Whistler thus far just so dang over the top fantastic??? I have some catching up to do posting the various places we've dined at but every meal has been over the top exceptional and fantastic, no joke (just ask anyone, I'm just not very funny now matter how hard I may try ...thus the failure of much heralded but never talked about Emerald City Vegan Eats Comedy tour *sighs* .... lol). This leads me to our dinner tonight, pizza from Fat Tony's Pizza, Whistler, a tiny little hole in the wall that blows away the notion that well ... size matters because the size of their establishment doesn't match the flavor bomb their pizza delivers! They have a fully separate plant based menu, vegetarian and vegan options, clearly marking which options are available with vegan cheese! We ordered two small pizzas, the "Beyond Barbeque Meat Lovers" .. with Beyond Beef crumbles, Beyond sausage, BBQ sauce and more .. and, the "Spicy Mushroom" with seasoned (that's a) spicy mushrooms and red & green peppers. The crust is soft and fluffy ... like pillowy soft to the degree I wasn't sure whether to consume this or lay my head on it and call it a night (messy!) We went with consumption and I have to say, I think we made the right choice ! The Beyond pizza had good solid pieces of Beyond product, the bite being a perfect texture to compliment to the soft crust! The mushroom pizza had a bit of a kick, you could feel the burn on the lips but it was mild, just enough to give a satisfying kick but not so much to leave you wimpering in apprehension afraid to take another bite. If you're in Whistler and looking for a vegan fix, you really have to give this place a try. Choose this place since it was the closest next to hotel. Probably should had gotten the many others in the same area. Order one large cheese and one large meat lovers pizza. Not my style of pizza but the dough is a way thicker than your standard pizza and the crust was topped with sesame. The cheese pizza was cooked evenly with a nice crust. Flavor was lacking. You'll know if you had a decent pizza before. Meat lover pizza was a disaster. Won't comment on the taste as that might be a personal preference for Whistler style but was a no for us also. The pie itself was soggy in the middle so none of the slice could be picked up. Dough was thick like the other so tasted undercooked and wet all around. Pricing was highest I paid in a while for a large pizza of such quality. Would pass and suggest to try other place. read more

Really great vegan pizza! We opted for the vegan potato pizza - good amount of cheese and a lot of toppings. Their thing is sesame seeds on the crust, which I'd hate but it was actually quite good. What was also unique and really good is that their 'za had this mild smokiness to it that added great flavor. Old photos show dine-in, which unfortunately isn't the case anymore. i think this pizza was the best food i had in Whistler honestly. it's the only place I would come back to, so it's more a 3.4. I went in with low expectations as our whole entire food experience had been depressingly subpar since the start of our trip and we found this cute little spot while walking around the village. The name was fun too, so we decided to come back for dinner. It's take out only as there's no tables inside with a very narrow entrance to order. The ambiance gives off similar vibes to a dominos or little Caesar's back home in the states. The service was very quick and sweet though. I was pleasantly surprised to see the large variety of vegan options for once and the cashier was patient with our questions. It took about 20 minutes for all our pies to be done and there's side sauce/chilis you can throw on after as I did. They won't call you when it's done, so you just have to wait outside and check in. This pizza spot also uses a sesame crust seed crust which was my first time ever having anything like that. Between my cousins & I we ordered the beyond supreme, beyond beef & potatoes, and the regular supreme. Beyond beef & potatoes w/ vegan cheese: i really liked the flavor of this pizza. There was a good amount of each topping, but i could've done without the onions. They weren't cooked all the way through and still a bit crunchy/acidic. I hate onions in general though, so I just picked them off as I was originally hoping they would go by unnoticed. The flavor of the pizza was very smoky and hearty. The beef and potatoes are cut into very small pieces along with the veggies that are diced. I was full after eating it and enjoyed the texture from the sesame seeds. The tomato sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking though, but when you add the chili flakes and the hot sauce it's no longer an issue. My cousins finished their pizzas, but didn't feel it was anything spectacular. I think my only other complaint would be that the pizza falls apart easily when eating the toppings just slide off. Also would NOT recommend saving this pizza for later unless you had a new wave to put it in or something. The pie gets insanely soggy and is no longer enjoyable after a few hours; it's better to be eaten fresh. All in all though it's open much later than all the other restaurants around and is worth the try at least once :) read more

3.5 stars We came here and got a few slices a couple days in a row. The first day there were only 2 different pizzas available by the slice and they were kinda old looking. They tasted fine though I found it odd that they didn't reheat in in the oven before giving it to us, I guess its under heat lamps since it wasn't totally cold. The second day we went there they had 3 different slices available we got a slice of each. The Beef & Blue cheese, Italiano and supreme. Some of them were fresh out of the oven or at least the cheese was much more melted and the toppings blazing hot. I don't really care for blue cheese so I did't try that one. The Italiano was my favorite of the 3, I liked the garlicky taste to it (Garlic, pepperoni, Italian sausage). I liked the crust too it was soft yet had a crunch to it. I considered ordering a whole pizza for dinner one night but we decided to buy food from the market and cook instead. Service in person was friendly and prompt, of course we were just buying pre-made slices in person so no waiting for a whole pie to be made. I think I've had pizza at 1 maybe 2 other places in Whistler and this was the best, but then again it may just depend on which pizza you order and your preference. read more

We ordered the 16" large pulled pork, there was barely any pulled pork on the pizza, lots of bbq sauce though. They never called us, and we went back to them about 40mins to find out that it was ready. They have a unique crust with sesame that was yummy, however the toppings were very underwhelming for the price. read more

I was just skimming yelp for top rated pizza that delivered when I found Fat Tony's. We ordered online and had it delivered to our hotel. It took a while considering how close it was, but it was worth the wait. We got two large pizzas (Hawaiian and the Supreme), so the three of us had more than enough to eat. Great experience all round, used their super easy online ordering system and received a phone call as my pizza was coming fresh out of the oven. Guys at the counter were really friendly and more then accommodating when I asked for a few extra things on my order. Didn't know what to expect when ordering a pulled pork pizza but the pork melted in your mouth and just the right amount of cheese topped off with perfect amount of bbq sauce. Been to Fat Tony's twice for an after midnight pizza snack after drinking our way through the Village. I've tried the Ham and Pineapple, the Pepperoni, and the Blue Cheese and meat. This was one of worst pizza I have ever had. I don't know where you other people giving good reviews have had pizza before? You obviously don't know what good pizza is. The crust was dry and tasteless. I think the pizza box it came in would taste better. There was almost no sauce or pepperoni on the pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza wasn't much better. I got the cheese and mushroom pizza, they ask if you would want ranch drizzle on top, normally I'd be all over it but since it was pretty late at night I decided against it. The pizza was good and the crust was nice and crunchy! They added sesame seeds to it so it gave it a nice nutty taste! The cheese was super gooey and they were generous underneath for mushrooms!
