Have to say I'm very disappointed with this place. I've came here before and had another guy give me a pedicure and when it comes to the massage portion of it, he was great even getting the classic pedicure. This time around with a different guy, I got the same thing and the massage was barely anything. I was so confused I had to ask, as I've never had a pedi without a good massage. The Basic spa pedicure specifically states "luxurious leg and foot massage" , my foot was not massaged at all and the massage was not luxurious in any way. The massage is the main reason I come to these places , which feel like a waste of time and disappointing. I tip good when the massage is good. It's sad how lazy people have gotten when it comes to customer service. That's the point of why people should be tipping , not just because they did the bare minimum but going the extra mile read more

I wanted to get a pedicure done at a nice spot near me and had heard great things about this place, so I decided to stop in. The place itself is beautiful- super clean with lots of color options and nice staff. I went in wanting a basic pedicure and I kept getting pressured into getting a more expensive pedicure done every few minutes, and after turning it down constantly I just gave into the peer pressure and my pedicure ended up being $20 more than I had gone in expecting My fault for submitting to peer pressure, but still, the service itself was nice and the lady who did my nails was nice too. The only true "issue" I had is that my nails looked great when I was finishing up at the salon but when I got home, the polish looked horrible in normal lighting. The coats of polish are so thin that you can see streaks on my nails, the nails aren't painted completely on the sides and she didn't apply the top coat to the whole nail, so there's just a circle of top coat and then the polish around it. I'm a little frustrated since it was a pretty expensive pedicure and my nails didn't come out looking like I expected them to. read more

I think I've been here one too many times. I come here for convenience, & knowing at the time I go, I usually need to pick something at Max's Pet Store next door. But I don't leave this place so happy. This last time I saw that my nail polish chipped right away and one of the people doing our pedicures just talked and prodded way too much. My technician was fine, but with going with my friend and husband, I did notice the one who just talked too too much. It just was creepy and invasive. The time before I went they were pissed that I asked for cooler water for my pedi, asked to change the tv channel while in the pedi areonly with my husband no other customers, & that I asked for a drink which is complimentary. It seemed like a task even though all of that is part of the experience. I don't get a pedi too often and since I don't they are more of a treat, but since there's so many new places popping up in Wesley Chapel, I definitely will steer clear. read more

I found Venus Nail bar back in October 2022 when I moved from Tampa. At first they did a good job. But.. that changed. I went in to get gel fills and was watching TV and not paying attention to the salon person as I "assumed" he knew what he was doing. I've had acrylic nails/overlays for the past 20 years. I took a glimpse at my nails. I was shocked. I said.. what is that on my fingers? He said it was mold. I said, shouldn't I keep the polish and acrylics off until I can get rid of it. He said it will be OK. Well, it is not OK. I take good care of my nails. I had a dark polish on previously, otherwise I would have noticed. The next day I went back to the salon and spoke to the manager. First he denied I was a customer until the person who did my nails said, yes I did her nails. I told them I need to get these off and remedy the problem. What he should of said is let me take the acrylics off and come back when the mold is gone. The manager didn't want to even offer me anything. I told him I just paid $40 and gave the salon person $6 tip. After 10 minutes of thinking about it he said he would take off $20. What??? I told him I want to see him write it down. I really wanted to be compensated $40 and additional monies I would pay as I want a full set. I hadn't planned on cutting my real nails but had no choice. I go back next week if the mold is gone, I've been soaking them in a solution of water/bleach/soap. The manager didn't want to part with a dollar to keep a customer. I'm going to ask the amount they plan to charge me before they fix my nails. My final review will come next week when I go back. read more

4 stars for this Wesley Chapel nail salon on Hwy 54; it's open 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM except for Sundays, when it's open from 11 AM to 5 PM. Check out the PICS! Upon exiting my vehicle, I was immediately greeted by a customer standing in the lot; a regular here, she said, "You'll love it"! She wasn't far off the mark. One of the BIG positives is the receptionist; Toan (who selected "Ben" as his American name) was a joy to converse with. His sister owns this location & another. He has been taking English classes, & he loves to "practice" w/ patrons-- such a friendly man whose English is quite good. (Contrary to another poster, nail tech Ann & others can & do speak English.) Another plus is the friendliness of all staff. Often that's not the case @ salons. Even those not attending to me smiled & were friendly. And there was NO sales pitch regarding other available services; that was refreshing. This salon has the aestetics of an upscale business; it's modern & beautiful. It also appeared very clean. Pop music played overhead & there was one wall TV. The Pedicure chairs are big & comfortable. There is an electronic check-in @ the front counter. After selecting the gel polish for my Acrylic nails, the procedure began. But not before I was offered a bottle of water. The female staffer who did my nails was sweet & friendly. She did a very nice rhinestone silver & white handpainted design on both thumbnails-- see pic. For $56, it was the least I've paid for gel Acrylics w/ a design. Why not 5 stars? Although the design was beautiful & utilized the same colors I requested, it was not the snowflake design I showed her on my phone. (I offered to show her the design a second time, but she declined. I assumed she had an excellent memory.) Additionally, two of my nail surfaces were not filed down enough; the nails appear to rise forward. Two others are slightly uneven. The errors are MINOR; anyone quickly spotting my nails wouldn't notice the flaws, which is why I awarded four stars. Had more attention been given to the nail tips, this salon would have earned FIVE stars. Prices @ this salon are lower than @ other salons I've used. Charges was explained up front and I was charged exactly for that service.Even though I did not touch any polish or anything I feel that the nail salon should make people wash their hands before coming in the shop.Nail shop appear to be clean. The nail tech did clean behind me wiping down the chair in the table. I would have liked to seen plexiglass in between. But I would say the shop was not busy to the point that it was needed at the pedicure bowl. read more

So I came here 3 times and third time was my last one. First time I came in, the lady did a decent job with regular mani and regular pedi. Color felt off few days later but I blame that it was a regular and not gel/powder manicure. Lady was nice. Second time was just powder mani. It wasn't great at all, wasn't equal and had bumps. Lady also left bunch of glue on my fingertips and tried to take it out with a clippers not from a set but from her pocket. I guess that was more sharp tool. I told her not to use that tool. Clearly it wasn't sterile. Not sure why but I came in third time, and it was my last time. Lady did a decent job but she cut me multiple times on multiple fingers with electric filer. Everyone know and can see that they don't sterilize filer tips. They are just there, being gross. I was bleeding and I was so mad because it's unacceptable to cut a person with a filer. I have been doing powder for years, not a single person cut me with a burr. That's just low skill level. And of course you can get of sorts of diseases because they don't sterilize tips, and use it on many many people daily. If she cut me I am sure she cut many more people with same tool. Also it's pretty expensive, after tip it's almost $100 for regular pedi and powder mani. For that price everything has to be sterile and skill level has to excellent. read more

I've gone here twice since relocating from Clay County. Tina did my nails the first time and Tammy the second time. Both did a good job. Only negative comment is the different kinds of gel polish are more expensive than other places for example, the chrome is 15$ more. That's a 70$ pedicure... Skip every technician besides Tracy. She is the only one worth the wait, worth the tip, worth the price. I've taken my wife and it's always been flawless. Nails last forever. Save yourself the time...don't go. TERRIBLE polish job from not only the first person but also the second who attempted to 1) convince me the first job was good and 2) fix the first job. The only plus - their pedicure chairs are fantastic, so as long as you don't want polish, you're good. -no one speaks English -sanitation procedures are questionable. While having my nails and toes done, never once did I see a bottle of cleanser being used on other chairs. read more

I just moved to the area a couple months ago and have tried about 3 other salons in the area, wasn't impressed at all. Not even a drink offer. Unhappy with nails. Etc. I went to Venus today and the salon was quiet, relaxing, and clean and I had no wait. Kelly did my dip powder nails and she offered a drink as soon as I sat down, and even offered again mid session. She checked with me several times throughout to see if I was happy with my nails or wanted anything fixed. I love my nails, they look great. Will definitely be back! read more

READ BEFORE GOING YOUR FIRST TIME : I honestly wasn't going to write this review, but people need to know. I took my girlfriend out to get her mani pedi before her baby shower so it was supposed to be a nice girls thing. I purchased the deluxe pedi and a full set. I got the same lady for both. She paid no mind for the special massage that comes with the deluxe package. She cut my cuticle on my big toe and started bleeding. Which was fine, I know mistakes happen. But then she filed my toe and filed over the cut and scraped it, and started bleeding more! It hurt like hell. Proceeding on to the full set, I asked her if she could put extra glue on since I work with water and I don't want them to pop off too early. She didn't listen and managed to miss a lot of spots of polish on my nails and left all the extra acrylic on the underside so it was scratchy and ugly. To top it all off - it's been 5 days since I got them done. Only 5. My nails are already lifting. No one can spend $100 for all of this and not expect some sort of care and quality. They stand ON TOP of you while choosing a color.. they don't give you space.. really irritating and makes u feel soo very rushed. I got a full set and a pedicure.The nail technician who did my nails rushed through it and did not take the time to make sure my nails were neat or shaped properly.The day after one of my acrylics came off and the other nails starting lifting and looked as if I did them 2 months ago.Unfortunately, I was on vacation with ugly nails. It's the paint and design that is what is it adhered to. Also very pricey, doesn't matter what is stated on price chart. ??? Still trying to figure that out. I'm not one to question i shouldn't have to. I just don't go back. This was my second time in having my nails done at the Venus Nail bar. They look great, painting and outcome of what I asked for was not what I wanted. I think I explained what I wanted well. I also heard a response back and a confirmation of what I wanted. It's okay. I had gone to this salon several years ago and just stopped. If you don't listen to what I asked for or paint and style my nails something other than what I asked for... I'll move on. There are plenty of nail salons. I will try one one more time and will move on if the price continues to escalate and the technician does not actually comprehend what I asked for. I was lucky and able to get an appointment for a fill last minute on a Sunday at 11am with Cece! The salon is elegantly decorated and immaculately cleaned. After checking in I went to sit at Cece's station which was spaced 6 feet away from others and showed her a reference photo of a Halloween themed set I wanted done for my nails that included a design on all 10 fingers. She took the time to hand-paint with a variety of brushes each design onto my nails! I look forward to coming back to have a milk and honey pedicure, thanks Venus! read more

I normally don't write reviews but I needed to do this one. I was told that this place was a really good place. My mother in law goes here all the time and her nails always look good. But when I went today and I was not happy with what I got on top of how much it was. First off (Kelsey did my set) and I got a short French tip acrylic set which should've been only $55 maybe $60 I added 2 little snowflakes on 2 fingers which should've been only $5 each. I got charged $75 with a $5 tip. So I paid $80 and I didn't notice til after that they are crooked some are shorter then the others, some aren't even the correct shape and some are lumpy. 2nd Kese is very rough. She kept pulling my arm. She wouldn't let me rest my arm on anything and I noticed other people had arm rest for us. She kept getting upset every time I had her fix something. And she cut me because she was filing way to fast and way to rough. I am very upset with the experience I had with her and will no longer be coming here. I was excited because my mother in law goes here all the time and comes back with perfect sets but when I come in, I get treated badly. I will be going back to either get half my money back or a full refund. This is not worth $80. read more

I went to Venus on 11-19-2021 my appointment was at 5:45 pm. I walked in and looked lost clearly my first time there. The man who never told me his name looked annoyed that I was asking questions after I checked in he said go over there without actually telling me where to go. Ann the poor nail technician who did my nails didn't even greet me she waved me over from across the salon. I showed her my inspiration picture MULTIPLE times, she said she had the exact colors for my nails an when she started to paint the red was a bright red not a dark burgundy like the picture showed. That part I can get past. When she started to do the design she made the white super chunky an you could still see my nude polish underneath it. The black lines were super thick, chunky and overall uneven. They look like something a child could do at home not something I FORCED to pay for. I am usually not a person to complain, so when I went to leave I had already cried twice before going to pay, and I tried to nicely tell the man behind the counter I wasn't satisfied an don't like I should have to pay for something that isn't what I asked for. The lady heard me saying I wasn't happy an started to argue with me telling me it was my fault that my nails turned out so poorly and I would still have to pay $89 for them when I stated to get mad they only took $10 off an still forced me to pay for my nails and toes that were not worth $79. Let me start by saying $30 for what I received today is a total rip off. I have never not tipped someone, but today that changed. Pretty disappointed. Sitting here finishing my 15 minute pedicure as I write this post. I came here about a month ago and received excellent service and a fantastic pedicure, something that can be hard to find lately. The guy I had before took his time, recommended products that would help strengthen my nails, and was just overall of great quality. I purchased the exact same level of pedicure both times. The gentleman I have now has taken all of 15-20 minutes to complete my pedicure- that includes setting up the bath when I sat down, so finishing nail polish. The massage was a joke and my 6 year old does a better job. I am in my feet all day for 12-15 hours at a time, and getting a decent pedicure massage is something i look forward to. One of my nails was crooked and I asked him to fix it. The uploaded a picture of the final result. What a joke. I came here a year ago and they did a terrible job. I decided to try it again and not base my first experience on just a bad nail tech. I asked for gel polish for both my pedi and mani. As he started my pedi, I noticed that the polish was low because he had to keep dipping in multiple times between each nail. Then he added some liquid, perhaps nail polish remover, to the polish and began shaking it around to make it more liquid. I told him it didn't seem like he had enough but he said he did. After he was finished, there was nail polish on my toes and you could see the ends of my nails were not completely covered and the color was so thin. I picked a similar color and asked if he could put on another coat which he did. Then I realized he wasn't using gel polish, it was regular! Ugh. The when he did my mani, the plastic window separating me from him was so gross and dirty. Like someone sneezed and they just left it there. When it was time to file my nails, he opened a box of used nail filers and starting filing. OMG! The only person that was wonderful was the young lady running the front desk! I just left Venus Nail Bar furious! I took my daughter in for a full set. Saw it was $30. For full set acrylic nails & that's what I requested. I was met by Vanice who offered us "dip" nails instead. I asked what's the difference, she told me it was more healthy. I asked what's the difference in price, she told me "same price" then when it came time to pay it was double!! She lied about it & said she told me $46. My daughter knew that was a complete lie, & so do I She may think that I do not understand her, but I also speak mandarin & I know EXACTLY what she told me.
