This was probably top in the 3 of the worst nail salons that I've ever been to, I rarely ever write reviews especially bad one unless I strongly feel that I had a bad experience, the woman that did my nails was horrible, she was very rough and aggressive and I've never felt so uncomfortable. I left feeling so upset, she would aggressively file my nails,push my hand aggressively when moving to the next finger and practically rip at my finger nails when cutting them. The entire process was rushed and slightly painful and my nails looked worse then when I do them my self.I've been to countless salons and I've never had that level of aggression. I seen such good reviews so I wasn't sure why my experience was so bad I wasn't sure if it was a racial thing? I hope not but that's the only reason I could think of given that they have such high reviews:/ read more

This was my first and definitely not my last time going to see them. I've been trying to find a new nail salon and I'm happy to say that Avalon is it. I came in super early in the morning. Got a fill and I dont know the ladies name that did my nail but she knows her stuff. She shaped my nails to perfection. My nails are super smooth and no bumps what's so ever. I plan to come back to get a pedicure and see how that goes. read more

This place is definitely not worth the money. They can not do design nails. The massages are not good. The wine sucks. Customer service is poor. Over I would never go back. Wonderful little nail place tucked away at the rear of WireGrass. Staff was happy, attentive and did an excellent job. My manicurist was Marie and I can't say enough positive about her. I'm updating since my last review which was about 4-5 weeks ago. I initially was sooo excited to find Avalon a few weeks ago and really hit it off with Tina. I returned just 2 weeks ago and she did wonderful on my nails. Today I returned and learned Tina no longer works there. No one would tell me where she went and seemed pretty guarded about that. I asked a few people as I want to follow her. I asked for a Mani Pedi today and started off with someone doing a Pedi for me. It wasn't relaxing at all and was rushed. Toward the end someone else came over to remove my dip fingernail polish after the initial Pedi technician asked if I wanted her to paint over the initial color. The second nail tech removed the dip nail polish on my fingers then painted my toes. Why they switched I have no idea. Then a third person sat down at the Mani station to paint my nails with the dip color. He was friendly enough but didn't do the greatest job. He left remnants of cotton and dip powder on the back of my fingers and nails, never hand me wash my hands, and didn't remove all of the spray paint I'd gotten on my nails last week that I'd come in to have removed. I wasn't able to get it off as it was in between the nail and dip polish as well as on the back of the nail. He left all of it! In addition, I don't like having males work on my nails for personal reasons. And I have no idea why the second female or first female didn't just finish the job! I was put off by having 3 different people work on my toes and nails! I won't return after today and I'm super bummed. I finally found someone I really liked to do my nails. She's left for whatever reason and they won't tell me where she left to. I also didn't like the way I was treated, tossed around and not prioritized. I am not completely satisfied with the finished Mani. Looks like I'm on the lookout again! read more

Enjoyed trying this new nail salon today located next to Dillard's and across the street from Pincher's. Everyone is quite welcoming here and my nail technician, Dana took her time and was really funny and nice. I got a pedicure today and there are a number of options available to you. They provide you with a nice colorful notebook to show you their options. Some include Lavender, Mint, paraffin, orange, grapefruit, citrus pedicures. The prices range from $26 to $70 for pedicures. I picked citrus pedicure while my friend picked the paraffin pedicure. It was perfect! There's a nice selection of brand new nail polish color options. They have other spa services like eye lash extensions and waxing. This was a great experience and even better relaxing and sipping my yummy moscato wine! read more

Been going to Avalon for years. They do a great job on eyebrows and nails for me. Brought my girlfriend here and it's our new routine spot for spa stuff. I had went there to remove my acrylics i had on because my job wouldn't allow me to have any. Throughout the appointment she kept asking me if i wanted to do gel, acrylic, or even dip and i had said no multiple times and she got upset. 1 star for cleanliness, 1 star for the employees being nice 1 star because when I called to let them know that my french gel manicure had already chipped off and it had only been 4 days, they offered to fix it free of charge. I've had gel nail polish done loads before at other salons and it lasted me at least 2 months not even a single chip. I gave this salon a chance but not only is it a tad bit pricier than other nail salons in the area probably because it is located inside a shopping mall, but it is also very busy and to keep up with the customers the quality is sometimes sacrificed I did not have the time to go back and get my gel fixed but if I do, I will update my review! read more

I had a weird experience even before my scheduled appointment. This was supposed to be for Sunday at 2 pm. Yet I received a phone call the Saturday before at 8:39pm ( they closed at 7 pm) to reschedule the appointment for Sunday 10 am with no explanation as to why. The employees here are great and the salon is very clean. I came in to get a gel mani and regular pedicure and they were very prompt and professional. My nails looked fantastic! But me being clumsy, by the time I got home I had managed to mess up my big toenail. I came back two days later to see if they could fix that toenail before I left on a work trip.The lady was very helpful in trying to locate the exact color and then she went ahead and just redid the polish on all of my nails. I gave this place a second try but unfortunately was left disappointed for a second time. No hate to the ladies as they were super sweet and kind, however, this situation has now happened twice. I got a pedicure and they cut me by my nails in several locations and it caused my foot to become inflamed and infected. It was my first time coming and I'm going to be honest, my service wasn't awful but wasn't good. I made sure to call 15 minutes before arriving and said I was 15 away, to check they had someone available to do a pedicure and they told me yes come in. I came in and waited about 25 minutes in the chair for someone to do my pedicure, when someone came over she had to have someone else do my pedicure halfway through because she had to finish someone else, and then towards the end ANOTHER person had to fill in for that person because that nail tech forgot they had an apt that walked in.
