Honestly, the breakfast looked delicious. I made the mistake of coming for lunch. To put it simply, this is that relatively bland food menu made for people who have had seasoning and flavor restricted from their diets for health reasons... which is probably why the majority of the patrons were senior citizens at lunchtime. Everything is pretty dry and flavorless, which is good for those people watching stuff like sodium intake. Service was great. Decor was beautiful. Unless I'm up in NB for breakfast, I'm just going to go elsewhere. There's a lot if new places popping up in this area that look more foodie-friendly.

A great brunch spot! We loved the food, especially the grouper and the French toast. Shoutout to our server Megan who was friendly and welcoming. Also appreciated that the manager Chris stopped by our table to connect with us after issues with how the steak was cooked. Great service!

OMGEEEE!! This place is absolutely amazing! The food is freshly cooked, my wife loved the green beans! (She is picky about veggies) the chicken is freshly breaded and fried to order, so you have to wait a little for your food to be ready but IT IS WORTH IT! My Belgian waffle combo was delicious, waffle is nice and fluffy, not hard like some places! London, our waitress was attentive and joyful and kept my coffee cup full. Great job London! Lastly, the clam chowder tastes like something you would expect on a coastal city! I highly recommend Avery's Kitchen if you're looking for some down home cookin'! BTW, the coffee is superb!!

Avery's kitchen serves delicious hot burger's and fries. Nice to arrive home and still open the bag with hot food.

Now let me tell you about the food. We opened with the crab cakes - they were excellent. Hubbie ordered the Red Fish Pontchartrain and I ordered a custom dinner: Shrimp and sea scallops with the lemon asparagus risotto. Everything was spectacular: beautiful season, beautifully cooked, beautifully presented. However, I must warn you: portions are ENORMOUS. We had to take half of our food home. Still, we decided to order the crème brûlée. Highly recommended! Creamy and not overly sweet. The only thing that we're not outstanding were the bread and the coffee. They could go with a more rustic bread.

(we live in san antonio) but... the experience this time was just ok, not fantastic. despite hubbie making reservations 3 weeks in advance, and restaurant knowing it was a celebratory occasion, we were seated at the very first table - which faces the entrance. awkward location. we pretty much ordered same meal as last time. mexican shrimp cocktail - sauce was very thick in an off putting way, but shrimp was fresh and nicely chilled. hubbie got shrimp & oysters with fries. he's not one to complain much, but he said all were a bit greasy & not as crispy as he'd like. i had shrimp, scallops & broccolini. plate came with not very well prepared broccoli - with no mention from server before or upon arrival of switch. how can broccoli be both under & over at same time? unsure, but parts were very hard and others too soft, so it went mostly uneaten. i would have asked for something else if id known they didnt have broccolini. scallops & shrimp were well prepared, but light, velvety sauce from last time was replaced with slightly "gloopy" and a bit greasy sauce, didnt look or taste very appealing. brussel sprouts were drenched in some type of mayo sauce that was not mentioned on the menu. so "crispy" brussel sprouts were soggy. SO... how much of this experience was on us? we didnt complain, we didnt send back, but we would have had to send EVERYTHING back and this was our anniversary. we are not that picky that every dish needs to be perfectly prepared to our liking. but for is to encounter a problem with every dish? maybe just a bad night. but i dont feel like we received the upscale experience we paid for. only one thing was as fantastic as we remembered - the creme brûlée!

Plenty of parking at this location and easy to get to off the I-10. Service and cleanliness were quite good. Willie's is a little confusing in their ordering system as you can order at the register, or from the waiter directly. Avoid the crawfish (when in season) and the steak fingers at all costs, though! You have been warned. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, it's got a home like feel. The staff always treats you like family. It's my daughter's birthday and she wanted to float down the river. So that means a trip to Clear Springs. First up a small order of onion rings. They were so good, the crisp outer batter and thick onions. Next up my youngest had the Shrimp Po Boy. It had a nice flavor from lettuce tomatoes and tangy dressing. The shrimp were fried well. My oldest daughter had the Fish Tacos. They were bright and fresh but needed a little more zing. My son had the Combination (fish and fried crawfish)- the crawfish were tasty and had a good batter. My Seafood Grill was amazing. The shrimp brochettes were amazing, loved the grilled catfish. I'm not usually a fan of blackened catfish but this one was good. My wife had the cup of Cajun Gumbo. It wasn't bad but it was chunky and that's not my style. We ended with the Chocolate Cake for dessert since it was my oldest daughter's birthday. It was the perfect end, the pecans added a saltiness that balanced out the richness of the chocolate.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations. Upon checking in, we were initially directed to a table that had not been cleaned. When my boyfriend politely asked if we could be seated at a booth that was currently being cleared, the host initially agreed. However, she then seated two other guests, who were white and had arrived after us at that same booth. Given the circumstances and the subsequent request to wait for a different table, this incident opened our eyes to potential racial bias, and we felt it was best to leave and dine elsewhere. I believe your host staff would benefit from additional training regarding equitable service and professional conduct. It is truly a shame that our visit was handled in this manner, as we had hoped for a much more welcoming evening. Not a problem but we then waited 30+ minutes just for an appetizer. While waiting, I purchased shots directly from the bar and brought them back to our table. Shortly after, a staff member approached our table and asked to see one of our guest's IDs, apparently questioning his age. He provided his ID without issue and was confirmed to be 24 years old. Not long after that, another member of our party attempted to order an additional round of shots since we had been waiting 45 minutes by now for our entrées and was told he was being cut off for being intoxicated. This made absolutely no sense considering 2 of us had only consumed one beer and the 3 of us had one shot each. No one was causing a disturbance, slurring words, or acting intoxicated. The entire situation felt hostile, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. Between the excessive wait times, poor service, being questioned after legally purchasing drinks, and then being accused of intoxication with virtually no alcohol consumed, our experience was ruined. It was evident that our waitress was butt hurt that we bypassed her and went straight to the bar for shots instead of her making that tip of a couple dollars off of that individual tab. We paid for what we had received and left before our entrées even arrived. I've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. There are far too many good places to spend your money to tolerate this level of service and treatment. I will never return and cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.
