First-time visitor. Friday morning and we were seated right away (party of seven). Coffee and water served instantly. Food came fast. It probably took us longer to decide what we wanted than it took to get our food. It was tough to choose between sweet or salty/savory; luckily my skillet allowed for a specialty French toast for a small up-charge so, I got both:) The menu was filled with fantastic variations of standard breakfast choices. The offered french toast, pancakes, waffles, skillets, Benedict's and so on, but dressed is killer combos such as the Pursuit of Happiness which was topped with a homemade caramel cream cheese sauce, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I also had the Bad Wolf Skillet with a side of breakfast gravy. The portion was as big, if not bigger, than many hungry-man skillets I've had. The peppers were cooked perfectly; not too soft not to hard. The whole skillet had great texture and taste. I added salt and pepper out of habit, but it didn't need it. AVGO is a definite return. There are about 5 more things on the menu I have to try. Our server was experienced, smart and confident which really set my expectations high. Expectations met! Highly recommend!! read more

I was just here with my boyfriend at 11:30am on Friday, August 2nd 2024. My waitress was amazing and so polite, however I received my whole plate of biscuits, gravy, eggs, and hash browns to be cold and hard like it's been left out for over 30 minutes. The owner tried to convince me that because the plate that was warm (obviously left on a warming plate) so he couldn't give me a refund or take a discount and he insisted on bringing me fresh food to go even though it was not needed and he continued to argue that the food was hot. The restaurant is a scam. The owners are selfish and lazy. First and last time ever going to this restaurant. read more

After deciding to come to Avgo to celebrate a birthday, we were appalled by our encounter. When we first arrived it took quite some time to receive water. I'll follow that by saying when our food arrived we had no silverware to dine with. Our server lacked hospitality and a benevolent personality. Our food was unpleasant, 3 of our 9 orders had avocado on them which had noticeably turned bad and had left a terrible taste to all the plates with it. Also, 5 of the orders had specialty pancakes accompanying the entrees and the pancakes were disheartening as each were layered with a thick sauce that didn't match the flavor described in the menu. It wasn't liked by anyone at our table and the pancakes were not touched. We kindly requested to see a manager about our lack of satisfaction, and he rudely denied any refund after we had left almost all of what we had ordered. Only few items there were decent; while the ambiance was nice, unfortunately the service and quality were not up to par. We usually go to Toast and Jam, where the quality, food, and service has never disappointed us. Strive to do better Avgo. And Ernie the manager should rethink his position in customer service as he was very incompetent and rude. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Best. Experience. Ever. We've been coming here for years, but this is by far the best experience we've had here ever. From the moment we walked in the hostess had a smile, asked us how our day was, and asked us our preference of booth or table. The coffee was extra good this Saturday morning, and our server extra friendly. My four year old ordered pancakes, and the server brought them out to her right away so she could start eating. AND, she put sprinkles on them to match my daughters dress. WHAT AN AWESOME TOUCH. The food was hot, fresh, delicious. I asked for my hash browns extra well done, I even told her burned is ok. It's how I like them, and I won't send them back no matter how burned they were. THEY CAME OUR PERFECT. 10/5 STARS, the perfect start to my Saturday with my family. read more

As you drive by, you really can't tell from the road that this is a pretty amazing brunch spot! I've come here at least 3 times in the past month and continue to look forward to the next meal here. I've ordered pancakes, French toast, the 5 egg omelette and biscuits with gravy. All very tasty and all hugely satisfying thanks to the giant portions! I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy as the biscuits are very soft and fluffy and they give you a heaping portion of homemade gravy topped with 4 eggs. Too much for me to handle but great to share with a side of pancakes! Clean & cute atmosphere with gigantic servings of fresh, delicious food. Friendly service. We went here for our first time and were very pleased. I had the item showing in the photo which was a breakfast item of crêpes with eggs mozzarella cheese and mushroom inside topped with pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole. Delicious. My husband had a Montecristo sandwich with waffle fries. He kept saying "this is a good sandwich" so I think he liked it . Coffee was good and hot... The server brings an entire thermal pot to the table! Cool! We don't live very close to this spot unfortunately, but if we did, we would eat here very often for sure! I went on Friday as it was my day off for New Year's Eve/New Year's Day since those days fell on the weekend. We waited for 30 minutes, but someone in our group had put in their name so once our group was there, we actually didn't do any waiting. The place is extremely busy. When we got there, it wasn't so bad, 9:30 in the morning but afterwords there was a swarm of people. The place has a lot of tables,but cramped, conversations are hard to hear. I was lucky we got a booth, so it was easier to hear everyone at the table. A good thing to remember is this place probably uses jumbo eggs. The other thing to note, I asked for a two egg special, where you just get two eggs, hashbrowns, and your choice of toasts or pancakes. When you order two eggs, you are not getting two eggs you are getting 4. So anything that tells you the amount of eggs in it it's always double the amount of eggs. A five egg omelette is a lot of eggs because it's not ready just 5! They definitely put more than five eggs in there. My mom did a "choose your own omelette " and asked if they could only do 3 eggs, still huge, no discount though. The prices are the prices. My food was very good. I had two eggs, hashbrowns, that I asked if they could be extra crispy, 2 pancakes, and coffee.I ate almost everything except for the hash browns, I ate a little of those, but I was full. They give you a lot of food so for the price you're taking from a whole meal because you can pretty much only eat half of what they give you. When you get your pancakes, they have a little powdered sugar on them so heads up to people that are diabetic you can ask for it without the powdered sugar, also, they do have sugar-free syrup read more

Avgo used to be a great place for brunch. Now, though, it still is a good meeting place, but the food has definitely declined. The service is good, with the waiters and staff definitely working their hardest, but again, the food is lacking. The decor is tasteful, with music and a couple of illustrations. Overall, if you don't expect the greatest food, but just need a place to talk after church, Avgo is probably one of your choices. My rating? 5/10 read more

I just had the worst experience I have ever had frequenting this restaurant. My servers name was Connie. Didn't tell us what her name was when she came to the table. The only reason I know her name is because it was on our check. We ordered avocado toast as an appetizer and the bread was barely toasted. Maybe slightly around the edges. Then we start to notice that several tables around us (3) were getting their meals before us who arrived after we got there. I asked why and Connie simply said "theirs came out first because it was only eggs" - LIE. I could clearly see that a table of 6 and a table of 4 had more than eggs (I'm not blind) clearly got their food before us. A few minutes later, she comes out with our food. I would have been ok at that point and let it slide if everything was brought out together. I ordered chilaquiles with my eggs on the side and Greek toast. My mother ordered an omelette with rye toast. We were missing my eggs and both of our toast. I mention it to the waitress and she says ok and quickly scurries off. About 7 minutes later she comes back with my eggs and our toast. I don't know about you, but when I order food and pay $82 for a table of 4 to eat brunch - I prefer that all the food come out together so we can eat it while it's all still hot! Never once did she ask if we wanted drink refills the whole time. She didn't ask if we wanted boxes, I asked another waitress. When I saw the check for $82 I was honestly livid. I know that going out to eat these days is NOT cheap but honestly I am tired of mediocre service. The waitress dropped the check off and as she was walking away - in passing says "pay the check on the way out" - yes I'm aware I've been here before. I go to the hostess to ask if they can send a manager over to the table. The manager who I now know as Paul, came over and I explain what happened. He says "I will go check with the server to see what happened".. But I could already tell his tone indicated that he didn't believe what I was saying and was going to verify it. He comes back and says he "looked at the cameras" after being gone for only like 3-4 minutes and says he reviewed the footage and that the waitress went right back to the kitchen and came out right away with our missed items.. (uhm no that isn't what happened) and that he would take off the charge for our eggs. So basically he called me a liar and offered to take off a charge of eggs? We didn't have a separate charge for eggs. So I said "okay I clearly will never be coming back to this f*cking place ever again" because I cannot believe he is calling me a liar. He then says "I don't appreciate you speaking to me like that and now I'm not going to remove any charges.." ok well I DONT APPRECIATE BEING CALLED A LIAR and I find it very hard to believe that you pulled up camera footage that quick and are now calling me a liar. I have been a server before and I always give people the benefit of the doubt and I always tip in cash over 20%...but this instance was different. I will NEVER COME BACK HERE. Customer service is terrible and I will NOT tolerate some 5 foot nothing short man syndrome having dude calling me a liar. DO BETTER!!!!!!!! read more

I visited AVGO this month with my sister for breakfast. We ordered the bad wolf and the theo skillet. The portion size was good and the food was seasoned right. It was a little bit oily, but overall good food. The atmosphere is okay. The tables are placed closely near others, so this isn't a great place to have conversations due to lack of personal space. There are very few booths. Our server was attentive but I don't think she understood personal space. We were only there for a little over an hour and felt rushed. She brought the to-go containers and stood over our shoulders watching us put our leftovers away. Kinda odd. Overall, this place was just average. Would I go back if in the area? The food came out quickly and was very hot. It was big portions. Made to my satisfaction. The service was spot-on. Our server was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. She checked with us after about five minutes if everything was okay. (That earned her a perfect score.) The Ambiance could use just a little improvement. Fresh flowers would do the trick for each table. A couple of carnations in a small vase would score it a five star review. I highly recommend Avgo to anyone who is looking for Good food, a great variety to choose from and made the way you expect. We will be returning back for future dining with Avgo. We used to go there every month and I always got the churros French toast, this time I REALLY wanted to have the Pineapple upside down pancakes. I have a really severely bad reaction to mixes purchased for restaurants, so I asked if they make it there and they said yes. Well, something in their batter triggered my acid reflux, almost immediately bloating my stomach with belches smelling like the batter making it impossible to eat. We asked to exchange it for something else, but they insisted we pay for it, and order something different. They said we do not do exchanges for preferences, even though this really wasn't a preference, but actually a medical issue on my part. Long story short cops are called, forced to pay never to return blood sugar dropped below 70 spiking Parkinson's like symptoms. Thanks. Only had 1 bite. Great food! I shared carrot cake pancakes and they were perfect. My skillet was delicious and the chicken sausage they used is the kind I like...apple chicken sausage. Their version of avocado toast is disgusting and it's terrible to see what they did with something that was so good avocado and bread with onion tomato and I think it was feta cheese. It is terrible what they have done to the food at this place. I used to go here all the time now I will never go there and the management is full of jerks. They act like everybody is trying to get over on them when the reality is they are trying to get over on everybody, I have no idea what the slop was so they put on top my avocado toast first, they creamed all the avocado and put it on bread and took a whole bunch of crap and put it on there didn't even ask if I wanted it and when I sent it back, they did not even discount it and I have no problem paying for what I order. I have a problem paying for crap on a plate. Very disappointing. I will never go here again. read more
