We decided to stop by for a late breakfast, the restaurant was pretty dead so we figured it would be a quick little cute spot to grab breakfast, we were wrong. For only having 5 tables of customers and 3 waitresses, it took 6 minutes to get a menu, then another 10 to simply place an order (from a pretty small and simple menu. . A basic order of a large orange juice, pancake special, no eggs no butter, biscuits and gravy no eggs and side of bacon, and a turkey bacon club, turned into a 20 minute wait for food, with no orange juice, no bacon. So 10 minutes later when we could finally get her attention, the annoyed 50+ year old woman appalled that we would want what we ordered. Crazy, I know. So she brings us a small orange juice (we ordered a large) and disappears til we get the check while bringing the side of bacon we ordered asking if we ordered it, while clearly holding a receipt saying we did. Needless to say $50 later for shitty service and bland ass food, we will not be back. It's a hole in the wall that should probably be bricked up like a mausoleum because clearly it's only meant for geriatric people lacking taste buds, with nothing but time and spare cash for overpriced slop ‍ read more

This place, was in fact, on a corner. It would have been upsetting if it wasn't. The inside was outdated, but casual. My significant other and I were told we could sit anywhere we wanted. I ordered a Diet Pepsi and a Coffee to start with. For food, I ordered Chicken Fajitas. They came with rice and tortillas salsa and sour cream. The Diet Pepsi was refreshing and tasty. They only gave me one free refill. The menu didn't show that restriction, so I think they should state that on there. I had to drink the complimentary water, because of that inconvenience. The water was okay, but another Diet Pepsi would have been satisfactory considering they were served in small cups. The Coffee was alright. It wasn't anything special and when I tried it with the Premium Cane Sugar packets, it didn't help too much. I got one refill on the Coffee and luckily it didn't cost extra for it, considering it was just alright. The Fajitas came in a plentiful serving! I was hoping that they would redeem themselves with these and they pretty much did. I was satisfied with the rice. The salsa and sour cream amplified the Fajitas to their full potential I'd say! The whole ensemble was solid. The service was acceptable throughout our visit. Our server brought us everything fairly fast. Overall, this place was a little over average. Stopped in for a quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. You can seat yourself so no issue finding a spot to sit. Plenty of breakfast and lunch options. I ordered the Gypsy skillet with Greek toast. Food came out hot and was good. The girlfriend ordered a combo which also was good but came with double eggs or double yolks so there was plenty of food. The service was good. The decor is pretty low key. Parking is street and maybe a lot behind the place. Will try again. read more

I'm having my windows tinted down the street so I decided to go into the this Cafe to try it out. I apologize I did not look at the whole menu I knew what I wanted and it was breakfast. One thing that I have trouble finding is corned beef hash and Wallah they had it so I ordered the eggs over easy, hash browns, corned beef hash and I had a side of French toast.I decided to do coffee...I needed a pick me up. I know it's hard to destroy breakfast but I also know it's easy to destroy breakfast anyway this was very good. I love this place. I've been going here since I was kid with my dad and siblings and we love it. The staff is very friendly and fast. Our waitress Selene was awesome, she was very sweet and patient. Haven't even gotten my food yet and already I dont like this place. I placed an order on Grub Hub and called in to reiterate my special instructions as they have been ignored before. And the woman on the other end of the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional cutting me off mid sentence and slamming the phone down. Shortly a male comes to the phone and apologizes and completed my request. Word of advice: If you dont want to deal with people, dont take jobs in public. No one cares about your bad day, we care to be respected where we spend our money. Do better. read more

My fiancé and I were in town for an event and looking for a place for breakfast. I got the strawberry and cream cheese crepes and he got the "Homemade" biscuits and gravy with eggs. And we both had coffee to drink. They had flavored creamers- Irish cream, French vanilla, and hazelnut, which is a big plus for me, however only upon request. The menu looks and sounds great and offers a wide variety of options for breakfast and lunch. My crepes didn't have cream cheese in them and I'm not the type of person to send them back however looking at the receipt she didn't write it down as I said it and only wrote strawberry crepes. They were okay, probably would've been better with cream cheese. They came as 3 big crepes! Could've shared with another person. My fiancé's biscuits and gravy didn't taste home made however were average. I enjoyed his scrambled eggs more than he did. We went pretty early about 7am and it wasn't very busy at all, not sure if they get super busy or not? The staff was friendly. Overall an average experience. I've been here 100 times but time 101 is my last. I ordered a skillet and specified no meat. I'm vegetarian. 3/4 of the way through my skillet, I discovered chunks of bacon. I was informed there was no manager so I talked to the owner. He offered no apologies and justified this by saying they cook everything together in the same skillet so it was just from someone else's dish. What if someone is allergic? Have they never heard of cross-contamination? Since I do not eat meat I won't be able to digest this. After a long argument with me, he took it off my bill. Poor HVAC, very hot, many people perspiring (sweating), notable grill smoke filled this place, not good to breath. Sat at counter could not get refills, they kept passing me up. Small glass of water, come on now water is free if you're not going to re fill it then give a large glass. Counter top is a mess, junk on it, phone they don't answer, empty dirty milk jug with flies, dirty plates, dirty coffee cup. With out tip a single skillet meal was $11, not worth it at all. Place was packed. A lot of bikers feeding before a long ride on a beautiful day. Some reviewers mentioned a need for refurbishing the interior. I disagree, it was clean and I like the "Old Greasy Spoon" restaurants. The old look adds to the character. Coffee was decent and never kept coming at a quick pace. I Never got down to a half a cup. I ordered Country Fried Steak and Eggs, Rye Toast, Cottage Fries, and Bacon. It took about 5 minutes for my food to arrive. A little salt, pepper, and Louisiana hot sauce and it was time for another Sunday Breakfast. The meal was good. The Country Fried Steak was obviously of the pre-made variety as is so common these days. Bacon was thin and crispy. All in all it was a good meal and the service was great even though the place was slammed. UPDATE: I'm an old pro at this place now. I've had the Biscuits, Gravy, Sausage, Bacon, Omelette, etc... Had breakfast here today and the 3 of us had marvelous food and service. Only drawback of any kind came when other server was replacing the salt and pepper shakers on the table and our salt shaker was sporting a large crack. This was brought to her attention and after she inspected the shaker, she said it wouldn't make any difference and put it on the table until my husband objected that there could still be glass shards in the salt. Holy Portion Size Batman. I stopped in w/my buddy after a 5k run. I'm all about discovering breakfast places especially the spots that are right under my nose. Listen, there is nothing special about this place inside...the decor is old and it's dark but you know what...who cares when you have great service and Holy Portion Size Batman lots of food, right? Wait...hold on, good tasting food. The menu has plenty to choose from, I went with a country style skillet with a cranberry juice (don't hate)...I did not finish all of my food...really it was a lot of food. The price was super reasonable...almost did not charge enough. I will be back as I want to try their pancakes and french toast as they looked pretty tasty. Everytime I go back here it gets even worse. This place used to be good. The food was alright but it's hard to screw up sandwiches. The staff was so rude. We were asked to hurry up. It took forever to get a refill on drinks and when we did get a refill, they returned without straws. We overheard them talking crap about other customers.
