You cannot beat this restaurant for great service and amazing food. You don't think of a strip mall having a great Mexican restaurant, but they do. David is wonderful. We have been with him for many years and have followed him to this location. I recommend this for anyone in the area. They treat you like family here and it makes coming in so wonderful.

Great margaritas, incredible food, and amazing service. Big thanks to Rafaela and Jesus for the service; their warmth and attentiveness made our lunch truly special. Can't wait to go back!

I had a great meal during Happy Hour at Avila's El Ranchito. The tacos and taquitos were made with fresh ingredients and they were not salty. Our server was attentive and check-in to see if we need anything. Ambiance was festive with the Mexican music and old fashion decor. Great local place for delicious Mexican food.

This review is based on a single experience, so your mileage may vary. I came here during happy hour hoping to try their food for the first time. We were greeted by a super friendly server, who seated my party very quickly and was very attentive to our table. Granted, it was not busy at that time so the attentiveness was appreciated. Since I was not that hungry, I opted for their traditional tacos, one with chicken and one with shredded beef, which was reasonably priced for the two. It came without rice and beans, which I didn't really need. The tacos were generously stuffed with meat, lettuce and tomatoes and came in a crispy fried shell. I did need to add my salsa that came with house chips to add additional flavor to the tacos. The tacos met my expectation for what I expected. And the house chips were on point. Our server was friendly and personable, which made the experience good overall.

Shaun Shine was one of the best workers I have ever seen in my 44 years of living. He was polite with exceptional service, and even put his own secret sauce on the nachos for me! Will visit again.

It's a small restaurant in the shopping center and we didn't know what to expect. We ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas and the Azteca burrito. It's was all very tasty. The service was very good and very attentive.

I had to share a few of my favorite things to get when I eat at Avilas El Ranchito!! The new melon margarita is a must try. So refreshing and perfect for summer! The potato taquitos are a must have every time I come to visit the foothill ranch location. They're my favorite!! I switch on and off between the different soups but was craving more veggies so got the tortilla soup no chicken and it was so delicious! The guacamole is always a must have as well. I love all The vegan options as well!! Love how the restaurant is decorated and the ambiance. It's such a vibe!!! The art work is really unique and the service is always impeccable. Super friendly staff and the owner is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! Highly recommend :)) you can't go wrong with anything on the menu but these are just my favorites from my most recent experience last night!! 10/10 everytime!!

Ever since I got my driver's license, I have been constantly going here every other week because I have been craving their food. I always order the asada burrito with extra beans and the price definitely matches the portions unlike Chipotle. They also give you chips for free, plus there's a salsa bar. This place always fills the burritos and makes it packed. After eating, the food makes me full and really satisfied in a good way unlike other places. I always try to recommend this place to my friends and people I know, this place is really underrated!

5 STARSSSSS FOR A RESTAURANT MAKING AN AFFORDABLE WHITE MEAT CHICKEN BREAST BURRITO!!!!…read more I'm particular, but I've been on the hunt to find somewhere close to where I live and work that offers a good-tasting, high-quality white meat chicken breast burrito that doesn't cost $16-20+ and I have FINALLY found it here at LA Tia Tacos! For $10.75 you actually get a good-sized white meat chicken breast burrito, with rice, beans, onions, cilantro fillings AND they give you some chips AND they have an open salsa bar with condiments on the side! I could not be happier to finally find a spot to replace my previous favorite (Sharky's) which has been long gone from OC and is now only in LA unfortunately. I know why restaurants use cheap, poor quality dark meat but I don't know why people prefer dark meat over white meat. It's gross and does not taste any better and you get gross gooey bits. LA Tia uses clean, marinated, high quality chicken breast and it will make me a recurring customer! I've already been coming each week and as long as everything stays consistent, I will be a longtime customer. My only small critique, although not a complaint, is that it would be nice if theh could add a few more chips to their meals. Sometimes they are a bit sparse and it would be nice to get some more. Now let's compare this with the overrated and over hyped Crapotle. Here at La Tia, you get better quality meat, free chips and a salsa bar that actually has good tasting salsa varieties to choose from, whereas at Crapotle, you get cheaper, low quality dark meat gross chicken and you have to PAY extra for chips and salsa on the side and their salsa choices suck anyways. Altogether, you would pay more at Crapotle for less quality. If you're a real chicken lover who understands and appreciates the white meat superiority, this is the spot you should go to! For under $11 you will not be disappointed! I'll be back again this week to get my burrito fix!

It was so good that we came back the next day for the Sunday brunch! We really loved the fish tacos, which were out of this world. My wife ordered the chile verde burrito chimichanga style, and that's where the experience dropped off a bit. The pork had very little flavor and, considering it's supposed to be simmered in chile verde sauce, it was surprisingly dry. Service was good. We went on a Friday night and the place was fairly busy with a mix of dine-in and takeout orders, but everything moved along smoothly. They also have a solid salsa selection, and the green jalapeño sauce in particular stood out. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood Mexican spot if you're looking for a quick meal, but nothing that really sets it apart from the many other options in the area.

We forgot to ask for a side of salsa but it wasn't really needed, the burrito was not dry because of all the cheese, guac, sour cream, and pico de gallo. My husband can typically finish his own burrito but this thing was huge and we ended up halving it! I also like how there was not an upcharge for steak like some places have. The moment I walked into the restaurant, I was welcomed with smiles, amazing smells, and great service. After looking over the menu, we decided on a few different things. When I go out to eat, I like to let the cooks do what they do best and experience their dishes through their own style, creativity, and personal touch. That is part of what makes dining out special. For my meal, I ordered the "Fish de Veracruz," and it was truly delicious. First off, there was a generous amount of food, which for me is never a problem! (Ha ha.) The olive tomato sauce with capers paired with the red snapper was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly tender, moist, and flaked apart with ease. The flavor was all there, and I didn't even need to ask for limes, salt, or hot sauce because honestly, it didn't need anything added. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito with green sauce on top, served with rice and beans. She chose the pinto beans, and she also really enjoyed her meal. She especially loved the sauce on top, saying it was very flavorful without being spicy. She felt it really completed the burrito by adding another layer of texture and flavor. My daughter, being a toddler, can be a little picky, so she kept it simple with rice, beans, guacamole, and chips. However, she absolutely enjoyed her meal, along with the fresh lemonade they made for us, which she couldn't get enough of. I will also add that eating my dish brought me back to memories of being at my grandmother's house in Puerto Vallarta as a child, enjoying a home cooked meal while she made me laugh and served me food with love. That feeling of comfort is something special that good food can bring back. I did take some time to read through other reviews online to see if they matched my experience, and I noticed they were very mixed. Some customers mentioned concerns about prices, wait times, incorrect orders, or feeling that they did not receive enough value for what they paid. At the same time, others shared experiences like mine and described it as some of the best Mexican food they have had. I can only speak from my own experience, and based on how my family and I were treated, the quality of the food, and the overall atmosphere, our visit was a very positive one. Every restaurant can have an off day, and everyone's expectations are different, but I can only share what happened during our visit. For us, it was a good experience filled with great food, kindness, and hospitality. Olamedies may not be the biggest restaurant, but it is full of warmth, heart, and incredible flavors. I would definitely recommend giving it a try based on my own experience, and I personally look forward to coming back again soon!
