Willie helped me out and he was perhaps the best car salesman i have met with. i had been car-hunting for about a month before this car came on the lot, so i knew exactly what i was looking for. Willie was extremely patient, outstandingly helpful, and very honest and transparent (which you don't usually get from car sales people!). he was very good in every aspect, and he wasn't pushy at all. i was never uncomfortable and he was just all around great. as for the car, it has a few minor things, but given the nature of rental cars it honestly exceeded my expectations. very minor things that can easily be fixed. if you are unsure about buying from a rental fleet, i suggest you go in and take a look. plus, go in and ask for willie because he was awesome! read more

I bought our Toyota Sinna here and Kelli was very nice and helpful. We got the car we wanted but this dealership has only the bare minimum- no lifts to examine under the car, no extra accessories to possibly add on like car mats, no maintenance records on hand. The paperwork had to be redone because of a mistake two days after the purchase. If you know what you want they will help you but it's bare minimum. Update: I lowered the review to one star from two stars because such poor follow up from my gap insurance refund. We paid the car off early so I'm waiting for the refund and I've had to contact the company at least 8 times to try and track it down and it's been 10 weeks now since I've paid it off. read more

If you buy a warranty & gap and sell your car they owe you a refund! Dont give up cause they will try to steal it from you! This dealership is extremely shady! They had no problem selling me a car and have me pay for all the trimmings. But when I sold the car and requested my refund to my warranty and gap... they would hang up on me, would return calls, gave me multiple wrong emails for accounting. Angelica (Accountant) would act like she was busy; bet she had all the time in the world for someone paying for a car. After months of this I emailed Avis, sure enough I got a response that day just to have her drag her feet again. Then when the paper work was finally submitted, she submitted it the wrong date from the date i sold the car to steal more money off the top but the check still never made it to me. After another round of emails, she sent an email correcting all, but then turned around and told the service company to send her the checks to hand to me personally... She never let me know if you didnt guess. Luckily I had contacted the warranty company and they are correct the issue. This has been over 6 months since I sold the car and they owe me over 2k. Its criminal if you ask; if i didnt make my payment of a fraction of that for a couple of months they would repo the car, make me pay fees and jack my credit. read more

So this place sold me a Jeep with a giant oil leak even after they told me they fixed it... Waited 2 weeks to get my jeep because when I went to buy it I noticed an oil leak and brought it to their attention. They said they would have to send it to Ontario to the shop there that could fix it. So I canceled plans and waited 2 weeks for them to fix it and than deliver it to Firestone Auto Care. Because Avis just isn't trustworthy.!!! And have lied to us several times so far. George the manager told me it was the pan seal. Waited 2 days for Firestone to check it out and they said the oil leak was a well known issue and still very much leaking and didn't look like anyone had done anything to fix it. I am in my 50s and have bought a few cars in my time and this place is by far the worst.... From the sales to the Management worst liars and customer service ever. Really sad I had to give such a bad review. But if it helps someone else not get screwed than so be it.. Also look for more bad reviews on BBB, FTC and others.. And as for there response the number they left in their response is the rental customer service number and is useless. Much like the staff and management here. Mishandling of paperwork....WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER I purchased a car from Avis Car Sales in Colton in March of 2021. The process of looking at the car, test driving and even getting the loan went great. No complaints there......However thats where it went from good to horrible (now a downright nightmare!). When I purchased the car it came with temporary paper "plates" which expire after 3 months. After 2 months and having not received my real license plates or registration paperwork I went back in to find out what the hold up was. I was asked if it had been 3 months yet. I said not yet and was told that the process is taking longer due to Covid and that they are just backed up. I went back in a few weeks later when there was just 2 weeks left on the temporary plates and was now told they cant help me that I have to go through their head office in NJ and was given a phone # to call. I called and opened a case with them and have received back a response stating the registration is held up due to missing some of the original paperwork- reg 51, 31, VIN inspection and smog certificates/inspection. Unbelievable! Worst part is I'm now paying on a car I cant legally drive on the street and if I park it at my home the HOA will have it towed because of out of date registration. Update: I gave Avis a few days to resolve this issue and get back to me and let me know what is being done to resolve the issue. I had not heard from them. I then called back Avis (the lot) to get an update. I was rudely handled and told to call their office back in NJ and that they had sent in all the missing paperwork. I called that office, they had received NOTHING! According to heard office the only notes they have is that their was a phone call days ago where the lot stated they (Avis) need to get a smog done on the car...Not at all what the lot told me and by law something that should have been done BEFORE selling the car. So I called back the lot and asked again to speak with a manger. I was rudely handled and given a different number to call. I called that number and was told they couldnt help me because they handle only online car sales...talk about being given a run around. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER. I called back the lot again to speak top a manager again. This time the manager was not rude, seemed to be serious about wanting to resolve the issue and said he will call me back today. I'm not holding my breath though and will be contacting a lawyer and the BBB (better business Bureau). I am also going to contact Enterprise rent-a-car to get a rental car to drive until such time as this is resolved as I can not legally drive the car I was sold. read more

I had a reasonably good experience with the person I did the paper work with but the rest was terrible. The vehicle did not arrive to the lot until the paperwork was all completed. This was because the vehicle was getting some recall work done at a dealership and I was told to start the paperwork as soon as I arrived. When the vehicle did finally show up (45 minutes after I was told it would be there), the following issues were discovered. - Only 1 key fob was provided - The physical key in the key fob does not even match the ignition lock. - No tailgate key, and the tailgate is locked - No software card in the NAV system so it is useless until we get that fixed - Vehicle was turned over with 7 miles remaining until empty - Vehicle was not cleaned interior or exterior I have both emailed and left a voice message for the store general manager, Craig Joley, with no reply. Nash (the sales representative was nice) purchased a Kia Optima from them cash. Car was completely filthy when arrived to see vehicle. I was able to oversee that however after they washed it there was still dirt that all over the vehicle (spots of dried concrete). After we test drove the car the gas light came on. While finishing up the paperwork I asked if they were able to put gas in it so I could make it home. They told me no they don't put gas in their cars and that the GM was off today. I asked them how they expected other to test drive their cars on their lot without gas in it or the capability of putting gas in their cars. Steve (finance guy) said I'm sorry we don't have a way to put gas in it. Complete joke and lack of customer service. If you can buy from a different place I would highly recommend it, don't expect customer service from this dealership. Oh here's a bonus- when my wife walked in they yelled at her to put a mask on but no one in there had their masks on. They definitely don't make you feel important after spending money with their company. After I purchased it I paid: 90.00 to get oil change because they couldn't tell me when it was last done. 40.00 for gas to get home 150.00 to detail it because it was filthy and had dried concrete on the paint. read more

In reality, I might have gotten a better car from one of those places. It's been a horror story almost from day one. After the car broke down, 20 days after I bought it, the laundry list of issues that was uncovered by the Nissan dealership of what it needed was not covered by the "warranty " that the car came with. Terrible car buying experience. I went in already with a loan with my credit union, approved and ready, thinking that would make this quicker. I had been car shopping for a bit and already gone back and forth with the salesman through phone calls and text and finally made the 2 hour drive in bumper to bumper traffic to specifically see a vehicle on their website. I get there and the vehicle has a service light on so I tell them I do not want that car. They have another one of the same model they bring from their extra storage lot instead and it's absolutely filthy(can't even see out of the windows). Test drove it and it came with a key fob that didn't even match that model(had features on the fob that the vehicle itself doesn't even have). I was there for 6-7 hours total, with an already approved loan!! The finance manager took three different parties BEFORE me when me and my salesman had everything done and were simply waiting for her to finalize all of the paperwork. I decide to purchase the vehicle, but because it was SOO dirty I didn't notice until after the purchase and getting it home and washed that all of the windows are severely scratched up, the windshield is VERY scratched up, the wheels all have severe curb rash, the headliner has dirty hand prints all over it and one of the backseats has a stain that a professional detailer could not even get out and said he's never seen glass so badly scratched or a stain that he couldn't get out of a seat. The finance manager, Angelica promised while I was there they'd said a check since the car was SO dirty for only $30(I paid $200 for the detail), 4 weeks later I have yet to get the check. Just called yet again and when I told her who I was she said "who!?" With attitude. And I also let her know I had to already pay for new windshield wipers, a new air filter that's clearly never been changed, I had to replace the whole windshield($335), buy an antenna since it was missing one and all she said was "oh wow, ok." No I'm sorry, nothing. I know I'll never see that stupid $30 check. Stay away from this place!! They sell terrible quality cars that were never maintained or taken care of and they have terrible customer service!! read more

Got a beautiful Chevy Tahoe here that was exactly what I was looking for. The experience was fine, Nash and Willie were my sales people and they went above and beyond,. I think Avis sold my info I put in for the finance application because every day I get 10 emails from various loan websites offering a pay day loan for auto financing. I even got an alert on life lock about it. At first I thought someone stole my credit. Then I did an investigation on life lock and it turns out my info wasn't used for any other loan other then the one I got with them on Jan 2nd. But it was definitely given or sold for marketing purposes. Frustrating especially for someone who has great credit. I'm monitoring my credit more closely now just in case. My car is amazing so far however. I came all the way from Orange County with my 2 young kids because it was the perfect car. read more

I guess a CarFax doesn't mean anything since it has been in and out of the shop. For recalls, replacing carburetor, etc. AVIS was the only one that owned it and failed to tell me any of the problems. I took my dad with me to purchase a car and we specifically stated that we didn't want any adds on to the vehicle and wanted our credit union to finance the car. When we were about to sign the contract they added on a bunch of insurance fees and insisted that they have a "no contract deal" which means we have to go through their bank. Unfortunately Avis Car Sales is horrible with the follow through after you purchase. It has been more than a month and we still don't have the second set of keys that were part of the purchase, nor do we have any information on the lending agency they recommended we go through or infomation on how to pay them. I have called and emailed Avis Car Sales several times and each time I get told "it'll be a month or so for the keys" and "it's not our problem" for the lender they work with, and that "this is just how online sales works". Well this is definitely NOT how online sales works if the company doing it plans to be in business long. This location is absolutely horrible! Do NOT do business here!!! I made an appointment with Michael Jacob's. He was aware made that the drive would take me an hour and a half. As I arrived at the location he proceeded to greet me and show me vehicles that were not the one we discussed. When I asked him about the vehicle, the one I drove and hour and a half for, he stated it was sold. Like any normal person, I was frustrated. He took this opportunity to make a car sale instead of calling me and informing me that it was sold. I then went into the office and asked Michaelp Jacob's for his business card. He refused to give me his business card and stated " I dont like your attitude". I then respond with " I just drove two hours with my daughter, you'd be frustrated too." He then mocked me and stated " oh now its two hours, I thought you said 1 and a half". Feeling completely disrespected I then asked him again for his business card. He then proceeded to grab the business cards that were on his desk and put them all in his hand making them inaccessible to me. I then proceeded to walk to the other desks of the other salesmen ask them for their card. Both salesmen, Wille Brandon and Nash Jimenez refused to give me their card. I then returned to my car extremely frustrated and began looking for a phone number to corporate. A few numbers popped up for the Colton location which I proceeded to call. Both times Nash Jimenez answered. Both times he told me there was no number for corporate. As an individual who has worked in customer service for over 10 years, in many managerial positions, this is not how you treat a customer. This is not how to deescalate either. Stay away from this place they sold me a car with a blown speaker the car had no coolant. Front wheel axes which need to be replaced now. Greg the manager has not followed up with me it's been over a month I called multiple times their answer is wait for a call. I spoke with Craig and his answer to where the service center was "I don't know where the service center is at" so I can take my car . He said I Had to wait for the manager to call me back and for a work order to be approved. Craig had the audacity to laugh at me as I was telling him my issues with the car he went on and said he could not help with the holidays an people taking vacation. Really my car needs to get fixed and I need to wait for a call to get it fixed. (Mind you I have waited a month! With no manager calling me back multiple calls and emails) They will make you believe it's easy to take it to their service center (they don't even know where is located) Don't be fooled stay away from this place all these issues with a 2018 car under one month of purchasing my car. I was so angry they had even ran my credit twice through the week!!! Do not buy a car here. On November 13, 2020 I advised Avis that I would purchase a vehicle. The paper work lists 12/17/2021 as the date of sale. No temporary registration was provided until 3/3/21. After waiting in line at the DMV for 3 hours I discover that Avis never filed the correct paperwork required as a car dealer. The DMV could not provide me with the permanent registration or title (I paid for the vehicle in full on 12/17/2021). The DMV suggested that I contact the DMV Department of Investigations to resolve the issue as Avis is not in compliance with obligations as a car dealer. Still no action plan coming from Avis to resolve. The DMV also advised me that Avis is not on the existing title as the owner of the vehicle. This complicates the paperwork involved. Avis claims that I can drive the vehicle without a temporary registration (which will expire in 14 days). The DMV states that I can not legally drive the vehicle without a current non expired registration. At this point Avis has not provided any kind of plan or set timelines for when I can get the permanent registration or title. read more

I bought a 2016 versa at a good price. Before leaving the lot there was a belt seeking... They just said to take to their maintenance dept. 8n Ontario Ca. 4 days after purchase a oil and transmission line broke had the car towed to mechanic... Belt still never fixed. The bumper to bumper extended warranty did not cover rental. Warranty would not cover. The following week took car 8n for belt replacement... I also noticed brakes seeking and trans not shifting right. Called maint. Dept. Greg the manager said he's not touching this vehicle anymore until he here's from the warranty company. Now I hear a ticking noise in driver side rear. I've called everyone I could to get all of these issues resolved with nothing but being treated rudely and offer to help. The warranty company said I do not have a bumper to bumper warranty. I've had 4 issues 9n this car and haven't even made my first payment. Let's see what Avis World wide corporate does and an attorney. read more
