I had a really great experience with Fontana Hyundai. Everyone I worked with was friendly, straightforward, and easy to deal with throughout the entire process. What impressed me most was how they handled things when a mistake was made. Instead of making excuses or making the situation difficult, they took responsibility and worked with me to correct it. That kind of customer service goes a long way and is unfortunately not something you always find at a car dealership. It's now a company acts when everything is going great, it's how they act when something goes wrong and they handled it better than I imagined. Be very careful shopping here. First, when we located the car that was advertised for sale online, the sales guy (Daniel?) said that car wasn't the same one. BUT I checked the VINs, which matched, and he backtracked saying he was new and didn't know. Second, the prices advertised online are not what you will actually pay. The dealership adds thousands in "dealer accessories" that were already installed (original sticker in glove box!) leaving you no real choice but to pay for them. This inflated our out-the-door pricing dramatically. Example: 2025 Hyundai Elantra SEL Sport (Intense Blue) * Internet listed price: $17,938 * Out-the-door: $24,350 * Original sticker listed the features now being "added on" by the dealer That's a dramatic increase and feels like classic bait-and-switch tactics. McKinley Grant was aggressive and apparently did not want to sell a single car to us that day. (We later bought two cars at Norm Reeves Hyundai in Cerritos!) On top of that, this nearly new vehicle had a faulty seatbelt--a serious safety issue and probably illegal to sell. A car with known defects should not even be offered for sale until fixed which was not offered. This experience felt dishonest and unsafe. Further to that, one of the staff started photographing the car and discussed within earshot of everyone that the car was sold over the phone. Very deceptive. I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere. Should've checked Yelp beforehand as this seems to be a pattern. By contrast, I visited Norm Reeves Hyundai in Cerritos. Check my review. I have a couple recommendations but I don't want this review to appear as if I'm trying to send business to another dealership. Moses had an opportunity to offer a price and be honest. At that point a buyer can decide if the price is in their budget. He lied to make a mother and father with 2 toddlers drive over 2 hours to simply be lied to and deceived. Even worse once they arrived ready to purchase as qualified buyers, they were passed on to another sales person. When we asked him where Moses was his partner in crime Gio stated he was out to lunch and that price could not be honored. I called Moses while they were there and he texted me that he was with a client. He was not out to lunch and both shady Gio and unholy Moses wasted a really nice family's day. Needless to say the vehicle was not purchased and 2 little kids lost an entire day with their parents only to be lied to their faces countless times. Purchased a 2026 Elantra Sport Premium yesterday. Worked primarily with Eli and Mac on the sales part, and Hector in Finance. Overall an extremely professional, efficient and pleasant experience. I didn't care that the original rep I made my appointment with turned out absent with me being handed off to Eli, who actually greeted me at the door anyway. Not a big deal in the long run. Very good service oriented assistance from Eli, all the way to following me home in the vehicle I purchased, due to me being there on my own after both sides worked out a mutually agreeable price and financing. I've called their customer service before in an attempt to get what the dealership owes me on the due bill, but they will not do anything for you. They're just trying to look good and actionable on the public Yelp page. If you look at my review history, I don't spread hate as a habit. I give places a lot of chances before they get a bad review. Fontana Hyundai has gotten chance after chance from me. The only reason I stuck with them is because I was looking at certified pre-owned vehicles and they had the specific one I wanted on their lot. 1) I cycled through three different salespeople, each of them did not answer my texts or calls unless it suited them to spam me. 2) The manager we dealt with (I think his name was Albert) was extremely rude and misogynist and only spoke to my boyfriend even though we both reminded him numerous times that I was the one buying the car. 3) In addition this manager offered me a deal and refused to write it down on paper. I said I needed to think about it, and when I called back ONE hour later after lunch to accept it, he already revoked it and wouldn't even give me a new quote, just asked me for a number and turned down every offer I gave. 4) I discovered that the car had a new pretty deep windshield crack after we finally agreed on a number. Turns out there was a car accident near the lot earlier that week and debris went into the lot. They did not know this until I pointed it out, and they wouldn't budge on the price point, but they said they would give me a due bill, meaning they owe me the repair service. I accepted on the condition that they repair it within the week. AND THEN PROCEEDED TO IGNORE MY CALLS AND E-MAILS FOR TWO MONTHS. I have now had this car for over nine months, and they still haven't contacted me to fix my windshield. I ended up having a family member repair it for me. 5) They straight-up lied that there would be a prepayment penalty if I paid off my car before three months. It cost me about $1000 in interest before the loan company finally picked up my call and confirmed there was no penalty. I paid it off same day. 6) There was only one person on that lot I spoke to who actually treated me like a human being and would always respond to my texts within a few hours. She ended up getting fired. That should tell you everything about this place. read more

After leasing vehicles from Fontana Hyundai and making them my preferred service dealership, I genuinely thought that coming back here as a repeat customer meant something. Instead, this was one of the most disappointing dealership experiences I've ever had. I came in looking to upgrade a 2025 Elantra SEL for more tech heavy vehicle and was immediately met with the kind of games that give dealerships the bad reputations they'll never shake. The finance middleman first tried valuing my Elantra with only 5K miles at an insulting $14k, claiming "that's where the market is." Even KBB had a higher offer bro. The second I showed him a verified Carvana offer for $20,800, suddenly the offer magically jumped to $19k. That tells you everything you need to know about how honest his first number was. It got worse from there. He kept trying to base the deal on "what do you want your monthly payment to be" and completely ignored my request to structure the deal around the car's MSRP and the trade. He also refused to disclose basic details like the money factor and just kept acting like he was the smartest guy in the room. He came back with completely ridiculous payment numbers -- including one quote around $885 a month for an Elantra N despite me bringing in an immaculate trade that they'd EASILY certify and resell for $25K. The most frustrating part is that I thought this was already an established long-term customer relationship. I've leased cars from this dealership, have referred family to them, and was fully prepared to continue doing business here long term. Instead, they chose to chase every last dollar and treat a loyal repeat customer like just another number to squeeze. I will say that Roddy has always been a pleasure to work with, and it's a shame he wasn't there, but everything about this experience permanently changed my opinion about Fontana Hyundai and they lost my business because integrity matters. read more

Drove 40 miles with my son in law to purchase a 2025 Hyundai Sonata with 28000 miles ( prior rental car). Clean carfax and a nice driving vehicle. No damage whatsoever. When we got there we were given the opportunity to drive it before we bought it. Nice car all around. When it came time to write him a check for the advertised price, the manager McKinley explained to us that that's not the correct price. That we would be responsible for paying an additional $7700 in dealer add ons. I've bought many a car in my lifetime and have never been told that the advertised price was not the real price. 1 Star - Completely unacceptable service This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a dealership. My window got stuck completely down, which is obviously urgent. I managed to get it up temporarily using suction cups and went straight to the dealership. They told me they were "backed up" and couldn't even look at my car for a month. No urgency, no temporary solution, nothing. So for a MONTH I had to drive around with my window held up by suction cups dealing with rain and safety concerns in my area. When my appointment finally came, they didn't even have the parts needed to fix it. So after already waiting a month, I was basically left hanging again. Then it gets worse no one even followed up with me. I had to call THEM to check if the parts came in, and suddenly they tell me the parts had been there since the day before. No communication at all. At that point, my temporary fix had failed and I had to use tape just to keep my window up and protect my car. Now, almost TWO MONTHS later, they finally say they can fix it but now they're claiming my warranty is voided because of "adhesive residue" from the tape I had to use due to THEIR delays. Update: 08/2026 I thought I give them another chance. I went there yesterday and tried to lease a new car since my old lease was finishing. They used the same tactic of bait and switch again. I went in the dealer and asked for the finance manager, specifically asking about the nationally advertised lease promotions and if they participate. He assured me they do. He called one of the sales representatives to help me and he too assured me that the nationally advertised lease promotions are honored in the dealership. After finding the case and wasting over an hour of my time the back office sales manager came to me and gave me completely different offer much higher than the one advertised. When I asked for the promotion price he tone changed and flatly refused. When I told him I was assured by the finance manager that the dealership participates in the national offer and basically walked away. read more

I ended up trading in my 2019 Palisade here and upgraded to a 2022 almost three years ago. The process was quick and painless, and they even delivered the car to my house so I didn't have to sit there during the normally lengthy financing process. They also let me clang the giant gong in the sales room when we made the deal--that was fun lol! I ended up getting my service/regular maintenance worked into the deal, so I also come here for service when needed. I've always had a pleasant experience and great service reps. They also have a wonderful customer lounge with complimentary coffee, water, soft drinks and snacks, comfy chairs and the ability to work remotely if needed. I'm contacted periodically when my car is in high demand and they want to try and get me to upgrade again. I've visited a couple of times and taken a few vehicles on test drives, but the numbers haven't quite been there yet. When she selected the "cash" option online to determine the total cost, the price increased to $21,450.19. Despite the higher amount, she visited Hyundai Fontana to test drive the Tucson. Test Drive and Unexpected Price Hike During her visit, Caden O., a Product Specialist, assisted her with the test drive. After returning, my daughter expressed interest in purchasing the vehicle. However, a manager informed her that the final price would be $24,000 due to "added equipment" that could not be removed. This information was not disclosed in the advertisement. Disappointed by the unexplained price increase, she left the dealership. Online Attempt and Dealership Response Once home, my daughter attempted to purchase the vehicle online at the advertised price of $19,300. She reached out to the dealership for assistance, prompting a call back from CJ, the Internet Manager. CJ reiterated the claim about "added equipment" and referenced a website disclaimer. When challenged about the option to add equipment during the purchase process, CJ could not provide a clear answer and continued to reference the disclaimer. Escalation and Lack of Follow-Up My daughter informed CJ that a complaint would be made on Yelp and directly to Hyundai Motor Corporation if the issue was not resolved. CJ stated he would consult with the owner and follow up but never called back. Instead, Caden later contacted her, repeating CJ's explanation and was again told that public complaints would follow if the listed price was not honored. Caden said he would follow up, but no one reached out on Sunday. Continued Advertising and Final Thoughts On Monday, November 10th, my daughter received no resolution. The experience felt like classic bait and switch tactics. Had we read the negative Yelp reviews beforehand, my daughter would have avoided the dealership entirely. Fontana Hyundai has lost our business and trust, and I will warn others about our experience if asked where to buy a Hyundai. To add, the website disclaimer states: "If the posted price (including finance and lease payments) for a vehicle is incorrect, Fontana Hyundai and Roadster will endeavor to provide you with the correct prices as soon as we become aware of the error." Contacted this dealership Monday to discuss whether they have any add-ons or fees not listed on the website, and whether they take Circle Program Vouchers. Amanda confirms they don't charge for any add-ons or hidden fees and I'll be paying what's shown on the voucher. Based on this statement, over the next two days, I pull all necessary funds to purchase the car and pester my friend who works at Hyundai Corporate to submit a voucher for me in their systems. At 10am, minutes before I decide to Uber 2 hours to Fontana to purchase the car, I call the dealership again to confirm final pricing. Talking to another associate there (Jesus), I thought I called the wrong place because now they were saying they had 4.5k of dealer installed accessories on the car. I hung up and texted them I'll be canceling the voucher and looking for a different dealership. At 11am, Amanda texts me asking if I'll come in and proceed with the purchase if they get rid of the add-ons. I say yes a minute later, but I get crickets for 7 full hours. Not a damn thing until I send a followup, to which they reply "We're busy"....... I've been ghosted since. You could've just let me go to a different dealership and not wasted several days of my time. But instead, you opted to act a lying prepubescent child because... why?? They tried to tell me that there was a $4300 package that they added to the vehicle price but when I test drove the car there was no sticker or information on any added accessories. The sales manager was very shady and he said that they at their Hyundai dealership in Fontana add accessories to it And the price was 27,000+4300 and accessories. Total false advertisement! The internet does not disclose anything about a $4300 add on package. Lies and lies! There's a reason for free Golffish, snacks, soda and water bottles. They simply make it back in hundreds or thousands of dollars of hidden markup fees. People, go to 7/11 and spend $10 bucks on snacks and drive down to Ontario Hyundai off the 15 and Jurupa! We made an appointment to see and potentially buy a car. We dealt with Malerie the first half of the time which was great. She is very personable and kind. My friend (male) was buying the car and I (female) accompanied him as I know car dealers can be very manipulative and wanted to be moral support. We informed them of the max budget and they came back with an offer $150 over the max, then again with $100 over. They stated the budget with the kind of car was "impossible". The manager (guy that you'll hear more about later), stated we would not be able to find another car anywhere else for the same price and mileage (completely untrue and we both knew it). After the end of negotiation, they were somehow able under "impossible" conditions to get the monthly payment $1 under the max budget. I knew there were other cars we looked at for cheaper in similar condition and miles other places. The manager, Albert Lutton, came out with aggressive attitude from the start and kept imploring with my friend to "be honest" about why he wasn't comfortable with the price. We needed to be out by a certain time and we stated my friend would call back tomorrow after thinking about it. The manager asked "how long have you been married?" (when he knew we were friends). When I said "we're just friends" and he replied "oh i thought you were married" in a tone that insinuated I was being the pushy wife lol. As we went to leave, the manager began to throw ,what I can only describe as, a child-like hissy fit as he said "really man? you're gonna let her make a decision for you, a grown man?" I replied "wowww" and the manager goes "yeah wow!" I said as we were on the way out "oh my god are you fucking kidding me" to my friend, reacting to the hostile outburst from the manager.
