Be very careful shopping here. First, when we located the car that was advertised for sale online, the sales guy (Daniel?) said that car wasn't the same one. BUT I checked the VINs, which matched, and he backtracked saying he was new and didn't know. Second, the prices advertised online are not what you will actually pay. The dealership adds thousands in "dealer accessories" that were already installed (original sticker in glove box!) leaving you no real choice but to pay for them. This inflated our out-the-door pricing dramatically. Example: 2025 Hyundai Elantra SEL Sport (Intense Blue) * Internet listed price: $17,938 * Out-the-door: $24,350 * Original sticker listed the features now being "added on" by the dealer That's a dramatic increase and feels like classic bait-and-switch tactics. McKinley Grant was aggressive and apparently did not want to sell a single car to us that day. (We later bought two cars at Norm Reeves Hyundai in Cerritos!) On top of that, this nearly new vehicle had a faulty seatbelt--a serious safety issue and probably illegal to sell. A car with known defects should not even be offered for sale until fixed which was not offered. This experience felt dishonest and unsafe. Further to that, one of the staff started photographing the car and discussed within earshot of everyone that the car was sold over the phone. Very deceptive. I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere. Should've checked Yelp beforehand as this seems to be a pattern. By contrast, I visited Norm Reeves Hyundai in Cerritos. Check my review. 1 Star - Completely unacceptable service This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a dealership. My window got stuck completely down, which is obviously urgent. I managed to get it up temporarily using suction cups and went straight to the dealership. They told me they were "backed up" and couldn't even look at my car for a month. No urgency, no temporary solution, nothing. So for a MONTH I had to drive around with my window held up by suction cups dealing with rain and safety concerns in my area. When my appointment finally came, they didn't even have the parts needed to fix it. So after already waiting a month, I was basically left hanging again. Then it gets worse no one even followed up with me. I had to call THEM to check if the parts came in, and suddenly they tell me the parts had been there since the day before. No communication at all. At that point, my temporary fix had failed and I had to use tape just to keep my window up and protect my car. Now, almost TWO MONTHS later, they finally say they can fix it but now they're claiming my warranty is voided because of "adhesive residue" from the tape I had to use due to THEIR delays. Drove 40 miles with my son in law to purchase a 2025 Hyundai Sonata with 28000 miles ( prior rental car). Clean carfax and a nice driving vehicle. No damage whatsoever. When we got there we were given the opportunity to drive it before we bought it. Nice car all around. When it came time to write him a check for the advertised price, the manager McKinley explained to us that that's not the correct price. That we would be responsible for paying an additional $7700 in dealer add ons. I've bought many a car in my lifetime and have never been told that the advertised price was not the real price. After leasing vehicles from Fontana Hyundai and making them my preferred service dealership, I genuinely thought that coming back here as a repeat customer meant something. Instead, this was one of the most disappointing dealership experiences I've ever had. I came in looking to upgrade a 2025 Elantra SEL for more tech heavy vehicle and was immediately met with the kind of games that give dealerships the bad reputations they'll never shake. The finance middleman first tried valuing my Elantra with only 5K miles at an insulting $14k, claiming "that's where the market is." Even KBB had a higher offer bro. The second I showed him a verified Carvana offer for $20,800, suddenly the offer magically jumped to $19k. That tells you everything you need to know about how honest his first number was. It got worse from there. He kept trying to base the deal on "what do you want your monthly payment to be" and completely ignored my request to structure the deal around the car's MSRP and the trade. He also refused to disclose basic details like the money factor and just kept acting like he was the smartest guy in the room. He came back with completely ridiculous payment numbers -- including one quote around $885 a month for an Elantra N despite me bringing in an immaculate trade that they'd EASILY certify and resell for $25K. The most frustrating part is that I thought this was already an established long-term customer relationship. I've leased cars from this dealership, have referred family to them, and was fully prepared to continue doing business here long term. Instead, they chose to chase every last dollar and treat a loyal repeat customer like just another number to squeeze. I said I needed to think about it, and when I called back ONE hour later after lunch to accept it, he already revoked it and wouldn't even give me a new quote, just asked me for a number and turned down every offer I gave. 4) I discovered that the car had a new pretty deep windshield crack after we finally agreed on a number. Turns out there was a car accident near the lot earlier that week and debris went into the lot. They did not know this until I pointed it out, and they wouldn't budge on the price point, but they said they would give me a due bill, meaning they owe me the repair service. I accepted on the condition that they repair it within the week. AND THEN PROCEEDED TO IGNORE MY CALLS AND E-MAILS FOR TWO MONTHS. I have now had this car for over nine months, and they still haven't contacted me to fix my windshield. I ended up having a family member repair it for me. 5) They straight-up lied that there would be a prepayment penalty if I paid off my car before three months. It cost me about $1000 in interest before the loan company finally picked up my call and confirmed there was no penalty. I paid it off same day. 6) There was only one person on that lot I spoke to who actually treated me like a human being and would always respond to my texts within a few hours. I ended up trading in my 2019 Palisade here and upgraded to a 2022 almost three years ago. The process was quick and painless, and they even delivered the car to my house so I didn't have to sit there during the normally lengthy financing process. They also let me clang the giant gong in the sales room when we made the deal--that was fun lol! I ended up getting my service/regular maintenance worked into the deal, so I also come here for service when needed. I've always had a pleasant experience and great service reps. They also have a wonderful customer lounge with complimentary coffee, water, soft drinks and snacks, comfy chairs and the ability to work remotely if needed. I'm contacted periodically when my car is in high demand and they want to try and get me to upgrade again. I've visited a couple of times and taken a few vehicles on test drives, but the numbers haven't quite been there yet. Test Drive and Unexpected Price Hike During her visit, Caden O., a Product Specialist, assisted her with the test drive. After returning, my daughter expressed interest in purchasing the vehicle. However, a manager informed her that the final price would be $24,000 due to "added equipment" that could not be removed. This information was not disclosed in the advertisement. Disappointed by the unexplained price increase, she left the dealership. Online Attempt and Dealership Response Once home, my daughter attempted to purchase the vehicle online at the advertised price of $19,300. She reached out to the dealership for assistance, prompting a call back from CJ, the Internet Manager. CJ reiterated the claim about "added equipment" and referenced a website disclaimer. When challenged about the option to add equipment during the purchase process, CJ could not provide a clear answer and continued to reference the disclaimer. Escalation and Lack of Follow-Up My daughter informed CJ that a complaint would be made on Yelp and directly to Hyundai Motor Corporation if the issue was not resolved. CJ stated he would consult with the owner and follow up but never called back. Instead, Caden later contacted her, repeating CJ's explanation and was again told that public complaints would follow if the listed price was not honored. Caden said he would follow up, but no one reached out on Sunday. Continued Advertising and Final Thoughts On Monday, November 10th, my daughter received no resolution. Looking at a 2025 Hyundai ELANTRA SEL SPORT in Fontana, CA, with 4,405 miles on it internet price $17,938.00. Would not give me a out the door price over the phone and or text or email. I went to the dealer to look at the car and get a out the door price, then they started mentioning dealer installed items which I told them they must be included in the advertised price of the vehicle. Under California law (Vehicle Code § 11713.1 and the 2025 CARS Act), dealers must include all mandatory dealer-installed accessories and pre-installed items in the advertised total price. It is illegal to add non-optional, hidden fees or accessories not mentioned in the advertisement. When the sales manager wrote down the price of $17,938.00 on paper then stated he needs to find out how much the add-ons are. I would not deal with that kind of trickery. Beginning July 1, 2024, the "Honest Pricing Law" or "Hidden Fees Statute," SB 478, which was recently amended by SB 1524, makes it illegal for most businesses to advertise or list a price for a good or service that does not include all required fees or charges other than certain government taxes and shipping costs. But then they show you that on the website under see important disclosures her(details) Prices and payments do not include tax, titles, tags, finance charges, documentation charges, emissions testing charges, other fees required by law, or dealer installed accessories. We made an appointment to see and potentially buy a car. We dealt with Malerie the first half of the time which was great. She is very personable and kind. My friend (male) was buying the car and I (female) accompanied him as I know car dealers can be very manipulative and wanted to be moral support. We informed them of the max budget and they came back with an offer $150 over the max, then again with $100 over. They stated the budget with the kind of car was "impossible". The manager (guy that you'll hear more about later), stated we would not be able to find another car anywhere else for the same price and mileage (completely untrue and we both knew it). After the end of negotiation, they were somehow able under "impossible" conditions to get the monthly payment $1 under the max budget. I knew there were other cars we looked at for cheaper in similar condition and miles other places. The manager, Albert Lutton, came out with aggressive attitude from the start and kept imploring with my friend to "be honest" about why he wasn't comfortable with the price. We needed to be out by a certain time and we stated my friend would call back tomorrow after thinking about it. The manager asked "how long have you been married?" (when he knew we were friends). When I said "we're just friends" and he replied "oh i thought you were married" in a tone that insinuated I was being the pushy wife lol. As we went to leave, the manager began to throw ,what I can only describe as, a child-like hissy fit as he said "really man? you're gonna let her make a decision for you, a grown man?" I replied "wowww" and the manager goes "yeah wow!" I said as we were on the way out "oh my god are you fucking kidding me" to my friend, reacting to the hostile outburst from the manager. The worst dealership for service! I visited the dealership last week for an oil change without an appointment. The advisor, Liz, informed me that there would be a two-hour wait for non-appointment customers. So, I scheduled an appointment for today. I dropped off my car at 11:25 am and waited in their lounge, expecting a faster service with an appointment. After over an hour, I checked on the status and was told my car would be done soon. Then, I received an alert on my phone that my car door was unlocked. It turned out my car was just being worked on. I was furious because my car had been parked for over an hour before anyone started working on it. I addressed this to the service person outside, who was checking in a car. Instead of de-escalating the situation, he rudely told me to take my car somewhere else if I didn't like the wait. He questioned the purpose of making an appointment if I would end up waiting the same amount of time as a non-appointment customer. This made no sense. If that were the case, I should have just gotten the oil change a week ago. Feeling upset, I asked the service person for a manager. He introduced himself as the assistant manager. I inquired if there was someone higher up I could speak with. He responded rudely, claiming to be the highest authority and that no one above him was available. I requested his name, and he proudly pointed to it on his shirt, Cesar. For those who don't want to wait for services, I advise you to take Cesar's advice and take your car somewhere else. I got a letter from this place saying that they had a buyer for my 2022 Ioniq 5, and that they would pay above market value for my car. I know the trading value of my car is low, so I naively decided to give it a try and headed there. I gave them the letter and explained that I was not interested in getting another vehicle, and I just wanted to find out if they had a buyer and how much they would offer, or if the letter was a lie. They said they were going to work on the numbers, and in the meantime, I should go look at their vehicles. I went outside for half an hour; they sent 3 different sellers to try to convince me to get a new car. Finally, I decided to leave and told the manager to send the numbers to my email. He obviously wasn't working on any estimate, told me at the door they could give me $13,000 (insulting) for my car but it would be more if I traded it, and he didn't want to write my email to send me any estimate... ugh, those are their sales strategies, to deceive people... read more

Car has been held for over 2 months now after i brought it in for RECALL work because my gasoline tank practically exploded due to some faulty sensor in the engine and now the repair is constantly getting delayed to further dates. To further add injury, they wont provide me with a loaner unless 1.) i fully insure it myself with full coverage 2.) i am 25 years or older 3.) I have a family member insure it? So now 2 months in and i am still car-less and having to heavily rely on friends and family for transportation! I work a full time job on top of school and having to deal with bills, rent , etc this is honestly the last thing i need! On top of that they have been poorly communicating the situation to my Hyundai corporate case manager and miscommunicating ETA's to him. On one hand they told my case manager that it was already at the body shop getting worked on, and then come a week later they informed me directly telling me that it was barely getting on a tow truck to the body shop! We had seen the listing online for $17,938 intense blue Hyundai Elantra SEL sport and we had inquired and they told us to come check it out. We set up an appointment and drove 45 minutes to see the car. We test drove it and the seatbelt in the left rear seat was broken and wouldn't even extend far enough to clip. It was a full repair for the seatbelt which they can't even legally sell the car if the seatbelts don't work. We still were interested in pricing and they hiked the price up to $24,350 because we needed to buy the already installed add on packages and it's in the "fine print".
