I had a funny situation happen I noticed a truck that esquire auto had and.... anyway I bought the truck thinking it was a Diesel engine. So I put diesel in it in my way home and noticed a sudden change in the way the truck was running, so I immediately I drove it back JR my sales rep was on it, we scanned it and saw a code we thought was a sensor. After the miss understanding was discovered ‍ they immediately had the truck towed and within 5 days it was fixed. Jr kept me informed the entire time and only charged me $500 for the towing fee and the repairs to the. Which I appreciate because the incident was my fault so I didn't expect it for free. The alternator died on me in the middle of the freeway which left me with a near miss from another driver and a broken driver side mirror. I took it to BAM for repairs but only days later do I have the gas start leaking from the underside. I took it to a different mechanic and I'm being told they might have installed the gas pump wrong or it could be so bad I might have to replace the whole tank all together. But They said they were going to work with us and lower the price to 13 ,999 because the car smelled like smoke also had front windshield dark tint when we test drove it, we couldn't even see out the window.! we asked if they can remove it before we drove it off the lot they refused and said that's not their problem it would be up to us which is illegal and they should know that . So my son ended up in an accident two weeks later and they didn't want to be responsible for anything then after going over the contract to find out they didn't lower the price of the car and charged an extremely high rate, when my son had a 700 score these people are sharks !! they're only out to screw people. But when get your car car back it's like they never fixed nothing, they don't even test drive cars doing more than 30 miles per hr. Who does that? plus the person testing you car drives it for no longer than 2 mins around the block. We went in Sept 23, process was fast we drove off with a 2012 Grand Caravan but the second day the car wasn't starting, it was accelerating on its own, it was jerking every time I switched it from Park to Drive or to Reverse and Every couple of minutes, while driving it would jerk and go up and down on the speed! The dashboard check engine light was on, the gas cap notification was one& the low tire pressure was ! Even The damn grand Caravan letters in the back fell off when closing the trunk! Okay so we call the dealer and we immediately ask for our money back they say no that our time for a refund had passed ! They take it to their mechanic, a sketchy looking place called B.A.M in Riverside. That whole place was filled with Esquivel cars ! Which should have been a red flag ! Anyway they had it for a couple days so I was carless & out $1500! I get it back, they give me the paper work that mentioned they fixed some motor/transmission mounts & they couldn't even guarantee it was gonna be running good !! 10 minutes after driving away from that place, it's doing the exact same thing !! I take it back because according to them they had better mechanics to take it to and again another week with out the van ! This time it was at Dodge dealer, dodge found out the fuel tank, fuel line & vapor line needed to be replaced (which i don't know how they missed that the first time !!?) any way they needed replacement because they were chewed by a rodent ! A RODENT !!! And of course Esquivel denied the replacement because they have their own mechanics right, back at B.A.M it goes ! I pick it up over a week later of not having it, on Friday afternoon and by Sunday again it didn't want to start anymore! it was still shaking and all this time they don't want to give us our deposit back so they say they'll "FIX" it again or that they'll put us in another car but we'd have to pay restocking fee & cancellation fees & state tax & licensing on the other vehicle!! I SWEAR TO YOU ! DONT ! WASTE ! YOUR ! TIME ! Because they were all nice and friendly when we went in looking for a good reliable car & when we gave our money but to get a hold of them after was a PAIN IN THE ASSSSS !!!! After allll the stress and all the days my husband had to miss work to deal with them & the mechanics, he decided to go into the office yesterday (since they're always too busy to talk or even reply to texts ) and he got his money back ! And they still kept the restocking & cancellation fees ! The two people we dealt with was Junior & Marcos ! They both suck ! I had a completely disappointing experience with Esquival Auto Depot. The GM and both sales people lied to me. I would give zero stars if I could. Despite being a qualified cash buyer, I was treated with utter disregard and feel discriminated against because I lived out of state. I live in Las Vegas and was trying to buy a used car online for my 16 year old son. It's 2023 so this should be a a pretty normal and easy thing to do but I could not get anyone from their organization to call me back. Nobody would tell me what was required for me to buy the car since I was not local. I've bought tons of cars online before and have never had such a horrible experience or witnessed such incompetence as I did from this dealership. To me this is the type of car dealership that gives used car salesmen a bad reputation. It why nobody wants to deal with them. It's why this dealership already has terrible reviews. I owned the exact same car years ago so that's why I told them I really wanted to buy that car. I explained all this to them from day one and told them I was a serious cash buyer. No where on their website or in any conversation did they ever tell me "the customer has to be present in order to purchase the car so they can test drive it" or I would have driven there a week ago. I've never heard of that in my life. Over the last 20yrs I've purchased about 10 cars online and they have always treated me as if I WAS in person standing in the dealership. I didn't have to sign anything in person, I didn't need to test drive anything and they certainly didn't make me feel like my money was any less valuable. Had I known that was their "policy" I would have driven to Rialto, CA from Las Vegas to buy the freaking car in person if that's the "only way" that they communicate and negotiate with buyers. The most upsetting part is how much time I wasted at work all week trying to get ahold of these people--calling, emailing, going on their website and texting them everyday for an entire week and they refused to call me back. Only to sell the car to somebody else today that needed financing, purely for their own financial gain. This behavior is unprofessional, shady, and reeks of discrimination or incompetence at the very least. When I finally got through to them on Friday I told them I was trying to stay within a budget if possible of $8k but told him to let me know the best he could do so I could buy the car! He told me "having cash should definitely make a difference to get a better deal on the car" but thought only $500 discount which was fine with me. He said, "For sure, let me ask the GM and he or I will call you back with whatever our lowest price is" SO I COULD BUY THE CAR. That never happened. I had to call them back and got shipping all set up to deliver the car to me on Monday (wasting even more of my time) and the guy tells me somebody else is test driving the car and applying for financing. When I told him I didn't need financing and would take the car because I called in first is when he starting lying again saying they "ONLY sell to people on a first come first serve basis that come into the store and test drive the car." WELL THAT POLICY SHOULD BE POSTED ONTO YOUR WEBSITE IN BIG BOLD LETTERS THEN. Esquivel has deceitful and deceptive sale practices if they are making up policies that are NOT posted on their website or told to the customer when they call, email and text them to buy a car. I know they went with their own loan over my cash offer for the same price because they wanted to make more money off of the financing. When the GM finally called me back after I sent about 15-20 messages wasting half my Saturday he lied again and said he actually "lost money selling to them over me."Everbody knows that's not true. Dealerships make $100's and sometimes $1000's off the financing. Nobody is in business to lose money. If my cash made them more money they would have sold the car to me. They broke their promises by not calling me back earlier in the week to finalize the deal. I was happy to buy the car sight unseen b/c it's a Toyota. Bought a 08 suburband from them. When we got there it was in the back and the battery was dead, which was no big deal the replaced it before we left. Few days later wife was driving down the road and the truck turned off causing her almost to crash. We had it towed to our house where I found the ground cable was complete broken due to them not putting the battery bracket back on the battery and the battery was sliding around under the hood. I told them that I could fix it for about a hundred dollars and I would do it myself since it was at my house, I am an ASE certified tech and I need the truck. I only wanted them to pay for the parts. They told no and that they would only pay for half or they wanted us to tow it to their shop they contract with. The truck was also missing a lot of things and we were not worried about it till this almost killed my wife. I don't not recommend this dealership. Stay away. Update: they also charged us license and registration and we got a notice from the DMV to pay 2018. When we asked they tried to tell us that's how they do it and when we told them I worked at dealership and know we paid for them they refunded us the funds.
