    What kind of car does a snake drive?…read more An Ana-Honda. Although I didn't rent one of them, I did enjoy my visits to this location. It is hard to rate them high as all any expects is crappy experiences but I have had great visits and friendly interactions. This is a small airport and you will not get the huge airport selections so if you get past that then you should be ok with your selection. Name the vehicle and enjoy the service, that is what I do. Today I even left my WiFi/MIFI in my vehicle and the team did a great job in helping me come back to the car to retrieve it. I always use Hertz and will continue to do so thanks to this visit and other visits.

On December 8, 2025, I reserved a vehicle and was told upon arrival there were no cars. Then I was told there were cars--but not for the one-way rental I had already booked. When I asked for clarification, I was met with a dismissive "I said what I said." I asked for a manager and was flat-out denied. No follow-up. No apology. Nothing. Now here we are again. I arrive after a flight, wait 15 minutes, and the agent can't even locate my reservation. Once he finally does, he casually tells me: "We don't have any cars." So what exactly is the point of a reservation? Why wasn't that communicated immediately instead of wasting my time? Then I'm told, "If someone brings a car back, you'll have one"--even though they're closing in an hour and have no confirmed returns. That's not a solution--that's incompetence. When I asked about the next morning, I got the same useless answer: "If someone brings one back." No apology. No alternatives. No effort to fix the situation. Just "go get an Uber and come back." I flew in ahead of my team and am responsible for getting us to a critical 12 PM meeting--and your staff couldn't care less. This isn't just poor service, it's a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. At this point, it's obvious this location is poorly managed and poorly staffed. Two identical failures tell me this isn't a one-off issue--it's a pattern.

I have always heard people tell me to stay…read moreaway from them because they typically send a text last minute saying that they tried to call you to tell you they don't have any rental available and they apologize for the inconvenience. You try to call them and they will not answer the phone. This has happened to me the last two times I rented a car from them. Both times I booked the car over two weeks in advance. I'm not sure who manages that Flowood location. I have the name that I have found from research but I'm not going to throw it out on here until I'm certain. I've reached out to corporate and I have spent over 3 hours today with them, so far, to no avail. I'm shocked they can stay in business for this long. I know I'm done with them. And I'm going to make certain everybody and every avenue is aware of this. You can't do people like that. It's inexcusable.

Secondly I had every email that Hertz sent me with the confirmation number. The manager is worst than the employee. I was then told that a small Ford SUV was compatible to a FULL SIZE SUV because "that's all they have." I will go to upper management on this poor excuse for employees and a poor excuse for employees.
