    The check in process was seamless. The associate that assisted me was friendly and helpful. She was patient with me due to a credit card issue and slow cell reception in the building. My issue was the vehicle I received. There was a large damaged area on the back of the vehicle so I took a picture of it. The bigger issue was the cleanliness of the vehicle. I didn't notice it but my niece did because she got in the backseat but there were loads of stains in the vehicle and even bird poop in the back seat. I wiped away the poop but there was nothing I could do about the stains. Overall more attention needs to be paid of the cleanness of the vehicles.     Crazy news. But I had a 5 star experience! I used the app for my rental. I just bypassed the line. Picked up my car. (I could choose my own upgrade). Scanned my phone at the check out and DONE! I rent cars very frequently bc I travel for work. And this was hands down the best experience I had. I highly recommend getting the Avis app. I waited until my bill came through. Before I wrote this. Yes! Billing was correct.

    My car has no key. When I asked this woman for assistance, she sent me inside even though I am a preferred customer. They push back saying you have keys to cars behind your counter and she said I told you I can't help you go inside. I can promise you it sounded worse than it reads. I have to complement Colby who immediately spraying it into action ran outside. Got me another car and sent me on my way. He was a wonderful representative of Avis. The woman in the picture refused to give her name hence I took a picture. I would assume if you're proud of the service you provide, you would gladly share your name. She knew she mistreated me.

    Avis preferred customer here and when I saw the huge line at the counter, I was grateful to go to the preferred counter which was ALMOST as bad. After waiting in line for over 40 minutes I finally just went to the app to find the car so I could get out of there. They gave me a Hyundai EV that wasn't fully charged and also failed to mention that there really aren't any fast chargers around the area so recharging was impossible and I'm hoping I have enough battery. To make things worse they didn't even bother to update the license plate so I'm driving a car with an expired plate. Thankfully I didn't get pulled over but thanks for leaving an excuse for cop to pull me over - Avis why do you hate your customers so much?

They had a decent choice of cars, I chose a small jeep. The check out line was slow but they opened up more lanes as the line was building. The return: Kat checked me in when returning the car and was very quick and pleasant. Strange thing is there was an extra key fob in the jeep. I told her about it and she actually thanked me for telling her. The return shuttle process is really bad. So many people on the shuttle yet they keep adding people that are going to the plaza. They should empty the buses a little more or run more to relieve the crowds. Lots of people getting on and off. We had to shuffle around with big bags, reaching around people, some had to get off in order to let others pass. I got my receipt right away via email.

I even tried downloading the app but it didn't help. We waited 30min to an hour to get to a customer service person. When we finally get there, it moved fast since I did my stuff online. Definitely need more workers or something to move the line. The cars were nice. We got an upgrade but the ticket said it was in spot 39 and it was not. I just clicked until I heard my car make a sound. We were in 38z. No one was around to ask for help so luckily it wasn't hard. We had no issues with our car though the last day before our return, our car started saying take in soon for oil change?? Ummm. That should have been taken care of before. What if I had more days? No idea. As for the return, thank goodness we were early. Sixt returns held up the whole ramp and even made it hard for all the other car rental folks. It was jammed back! Usually, you would drive up to the front for your return. It was backed all the way to the end. We literally again waited 30min +to do a return. Wow!!! They even said this was the bigger location. Has potential but needs a lot of work!!

I've spoken to multiple agents and keep getting different answers, or the same repeated message that the refund "is being issued," without any actual confirmation or progress. It's frustrating to have to keep following up for something that was clearly an error on their end. Good customer service isn't just about being nice--it's about resolving issues efficiently, and that's where this experience has fallen short. I don't typically write reviews unless I feel like others should be aware. To be fair, it seems like the employees I've interacted with are trying their best, but there appears to be a real lack of communication between the company and their teams on the ground. It feels disorganized, and as a customer, that comes across as the company being focused on collecting charges rather than properly taking care of issues when they arise. Overall, this experience has been disappointing, and I hope Hertz improves both its internal communication and how quickly it resolves customer issues.

It is a solid plus 10 minutes from the terminal on the bus and the wait for a bus can be long as well. I used the shuttle bus twice during a recent trip and honestly wondered why it was so far away. The only other time I encountered a longer shuttle ride was LA and that shuttle bus trip was further compounded by a ton of traffic. The good is that the shuttle buses were frequent during the time of day I used them in the early afternoon. I waited 10 minutes on arrival for a bus and the same on the return. So if you factor in 25 minutes to the terminals, I think you should be ok. The folks driving the buses were alright also though I didn't interact with them at all.

The return for your car is in a completely different area from where you rented the car. The entrance is poorly marked and I ended up in the wrong area returning the car. I dropped off the car and of course every terminal shuttle but the one I needed came by. I finally was able to get on my shuttle. My shuttle driver was the nicest woman ever but Jesus H. Christ she drove slooooooooooooowwww. Then there's the never ending construction which throws more "adventure" into the mix. I didn't plan for this comedy of errors - and missed my flight as a result. I arrived at the terminal with only 45 minutes to spare. As much as I hate Atlanta's airport, at least they have an APM from their rental site to the terminal. This ended up being a painful $400 lesson. Next time I'll uber and rent offsite.

Making it even harder to keep a close eye on them is she tried to say that the nearly double rate was just because of security deposit so I wasn't seeing the actual rate. But then I was reading through the fine print on the screen and happened to notice the fee and called her out. She then agreed to remove it and recharged me. Be careful! I appreciated that I was able to pick my car from any in the lane but the garage attendees were not very attentive at all, just like walking away and slowly moseying around before approaching me as I sat there in the car at the tent as they had requested me to do. The car was in good shape, clean, no odor. I think for around DFW and Austin the toll tag was worth it but still should be cheaper!

    Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Price Gouging of U.S. Marines on Memorial Day…read more To Budget Rental Car Corporate, I am writing to express my disgust and disappointment regarding the treatment of several United States Marines by Budget Rental Car at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on Memorial Day. A flight from Dallas Fort Worth to San Angelo, Texas was canceled on Memorial Day, leaving dozens of military members stranded. Approximately 75% of the passengers on that flight were active-duty Marines attempting to return to base before their required 7:00 PM check-in following their four-day Memorial Day leave. My son was among them. With no available replacement flights to San Angelo, these young Marines had no choice but to rent a vehicle in order to fulfill their military obligations and avoid being late returning to base. I personally checked online pricing and found that a one-day rental through Budget was being quoted between $70 and $80. However, when my son and the other Marines arrived at the Budget counter to rent the vehicle, they were charged an outrageous $211 for a one-day rental. The oldest among them was only 23 years old. The only apparent difference was that they needed the vehicle immediately at approximately 5:30 PM instead of later in the evening. This was not a luxury purchase or a vacation convenience. These were active-duty United States Marines placed in an impossible situation on Memorial Day of all days -- a holiday meant to honor those who serve and sacrifice for this country. Instead of showing any level of decency, understanding, or appreciation, Budget took advantage of a group of young servicemen who had no alternative and desperately needed transportation to return to base on time. Charging more than three times the online quoted rate under these circumstances is not only exploitative, it is morally reprehensible. What a shameful way to treat members of our military on Memorial Day. I have attached both the online quoted price and the final receipt for comparison. I expect Budget Corporate to review this situation seriously, explain how this pricing was justified, and make this right. Do better, Budget Rental Car. Sincerely, Michele Pigoni.

Their wait times are quite absurd, I think this last time I waited about an hour and 15 mins but honestly to be expected since they usually take about 15-20 mins checking-in one person and there's usually only 1-2 workers on shift. This past experience was actually better than the first because of the customer service I received once I made it to the front of the line. I don't remember the workers name who checked me in but he was very friendly and it went a lot quicker because I checked in on my phone and had my insurance card ready. Okay now the ONLY reason I'm writing this review is because of Rian, the shuttle driver that was on shift when I returned the car! He provided amazing customer service by not only allowing me a couple mins to grab my things and make the shuttle that was just about to head out when I was pulling in but he also surprised me by doing the check in process himself. I don't think I would've made my flight had it not been for his kindness and willingness to go above and beyond! If I rent with you guys again, it will definitely be because of the actual workers so maybe y'all should hire some more and increase the daily rates by $10-$15 to compensate for the increase in payroll.

I booked this rental expecting to pay around $289, but by the time the agent was done "adding on" fees, my total ballooned to $830.60. The worst part was being forced into a $35/day "unlimited mileage" charge ($315 total) that I explicitly told them I did not need. Even with a standard 150-mile-per-day limit, I would have had over 1,300 miles to use--way more than necessary. On top of that, they tacked on a $134.91 "Tire & Glass Pack" and $270 for CDW. They also bury a predatory late fee in the fine print: if you are even slightly late, they charge a massive $129.37 per day plus taxes. I should have gone with Enterprise for $500. Instead, I ended up paying nearly double that for a Chevy Trax. I will never rent from Easirent again. Save yourself the headache and the money--go literally anywhere else.
