Limonana. Some serious fresh mint kick
    Zack R.

Great place for a cafe-vibe meal... delicious food, friendly staff, nice 3d layered hummus art :D First, the limonana was so refreshing. I expected a tart lemon slushy with a sprig of mint, but the fresh mint flavor really permeated this drink. Definitely not a throwaway ingredient. I got the falafel plate with some fries (cheeps). Looking at their online menu I see 10 other things I would have tried (I think online pics are better than what I saw that day), but this one is still probably the most balanced. It brings super fresh and crisp veg, tart pickles for a burst of flavor, hot crisp but moist falafel...eaten separately or stuffed in the pita, either way. I'd probably skip the fries next time and try something else new. Oh, and these falafel are a lot smaller than ones you get elsewhere, so don't think you can't eat 7 of them. They weren't my all time fav, but still very good and I'd definitely travel back to get them again. Next time with eggplant and masabacha!

Ohhh YESSSS to Aviv!!! Wowwzaaa! This Israeli hummus bar really hit the spot. I got the hummus basar (shawarma spiced ground beef topped with toasted pine nuts) and pita with 2 falafels, and my friend got the falafel pita. The hummus was beyond fresh and delicious, and the pita was doughy, thick, and fluffy to perfection. Truly no notes about taste. Once I'd finished the pita, I found myself wanting more of the hummus but no vessel to eat it with. I wish they had some veggies or something to dip in the hummus without having to consume more pita. But if my main complaint is that I wanted to eat more of it, I think that's a good problem to have. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, so good! We sat up on the barstools and the service was pretty quick after ordering.

    Malabi... So good

This place is a killer!!! Amazing food! Any hummus plate, sabich and malabi is hands down a must have! The service is pretty standard. They are nice to accommodate a split sandwich every time I go there. This is on my list of top restaurants. The hummus is so so so insatiable delicious. Every hummus I eat else where feels like a paste to me after I ate here. The salads are exceptional too. I couldnt help but make those yummy sounds. Mmmmm. Keep it up and don't change the quality. Something to watch out is their automatic service fee.

I don't know what these folks are doing to these chickpeas to produce the creamiest, most delicious hummus, but I will keep coming back. Today I sat at the bar near closing on a Tuesday afternoon and watched as the chef prepared combinations of the namesake hummus, fresh falafel balls, fried eggplant slices, marinated boiled eggs, and spreads. A customer was cozily working in their journal with a cleaned bowl of hummus on the table behind me. My sabich (eggplant) pita sandwich, which pocketed a little of nearly everything into a pillowy pita and topped with a complimentary falafel, packed so much flavor. The sabich slices literally melt in your mouth. I took 8-ounce containers of hummus and halva home that I will happily spoon through and top on everything all week.

Came here for dinner it was our first time having hummus as an entree. We ordered: - Classic hummus bowl: very smooth but a bit on the bland side. Pairs nicely with the spicy garlic lemon sauce but you have to pay extra for it. - Masabacha: hummus but less finely blended. I liked the texture of this one better but I had to get the pickles on the side bc the flavor and texture got a little monotonous. The pickles and the sauce are an extra charge be warned. I also had excellent bowel movements after this meal haha. The service is pretty quick but be warned that there is an automatic gratuity added to your bill.

Great authentic Israeli food. Very tasty and fresh. Best Hummus in that part of the country. Will defiantly go back.

Absolutely delicious!! I was staying in SLU for a night and looking for some food to order and I found this on uber eats. This meal was delicious. I got a sparkling water and a gyro and fries and the food was so fresh and delicious. The meat was well spiced and I loved all the toppings. The fries were really good and the sauce they came with was great. A great spot and I imagine that in person sitting in the restaurant this would be even better. 10/10

I went to Aviv a couple of times before but that was a while back. A lot has changed since then. shrinkflation is on full display at its finest They also charge a 10% service fee irrespective of the size of your party without any notice, There were a lot of empty tables and understandably so. I still give them 2 stars for their food quality. I wish they fix all these issues and restore the lost trust

Hole in the wall place in Capitol Hill serving up great falafel, hummus, and pita. We came on for lunch on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised with the food. Pita was pillowy fluffy, hummus was smooth and well seasoned, falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, very well seasoned. The eggplant was delicious as well, oily and rich. Service is minimal, order via QR code at the table. There is very limited seating so not good for large groups - mostly 4 person tables and a bar. Parking is a pain, it is Capitol Hill, and I would say the surrounding areas can be dicey, as Seattle is. Vibe is very casual. Maybe not the most baby/toddler friendly spot. Worth checking out for the pita and falafel!

The food was quite good! They did have options with no sesame if you're allergic (no tahini or hummus) and they also had vegetarian and dairy free options too. The staff were very helpful while I was ordering with sorting all my allergens out! The space is small but bright and cute for a quick casual bite. We took our food to go and it was well packaged. Would definitely return!

This place is outstanding! From the amazingly flavorful falafel, the to the fluffy pita, and the perfect cauliflower, we were absolutely blown away. The limeade was also perfectly sweet and sour as well. Great portions, great prices, great flavors!! The staff was also incredibly nice and friendly, this is a favorite of ours now! (This place is in capital hill, so street meter parking only).

Just checking. Is the price justified for the food? How is this different from hummus and falafels served in other much less expensive Mediterranean places?

Aviv serves Israeli food, whereas most of the other Mediterranean places I've eaten at in Seattle are Lebanese or Syrian. The pickles and bread are distinctive. The food is certainly higher quality than the cheap tier of Al Bacha or *ick* Garlic… Read more

For some reason I tried it again today and was once again disappointed. Placed an online order to go: Greek fries and a side of gyro meat to throw on top, since sandwiches and bowls are $13-$16! Insane. I saw the bowls, they're not large. Not a great deal by any stretch, but that's lunch hour in Seattle I guess. The fries were soggy, barely any feta on top, and the "gyro" meat is just freakin' weird. It tastes like lamb meatballs. Not at all what I expected. On top of this, my order was not ready and I ended up waiting 15 minutes. Three people in line in front of me and three behind, but just one guy behind the counter taking and prepping orders, tickets popping out of the machine left and right until he cried uncle for some help. "Wow it got busy fast, went from no orders to backed up!" Yeah dude, it's 12:15. People get off at 12, call it in, take a piss and start walking to the restaurant, just like every lunch rush every day in a busy commercial core. I also dislike having to wait in line for a pickup order. I'm in a hurry. If you can't accommodate, I can go somewhere else. Just leave my order out! I did grab a jar of grilled preserved lemons to take home. Not sure what to use them for but they look delicious. All in all, not great, again.

I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!
