You need to clean a bit more frequently because no patrons want to see a full trash can. 2. I have talked to you about this once, but please have YOUR customers close the front door and not leave it open because we have seen flies on the food. Wholesome, yummy food! My work ordered individual boxed lunches for the entire staff from Avocado Cafe and it was a wonderful lunch! The lunch came with a full sandwich, a bag of Miss Vickie's chips, a slice of watermelon, and a cookie all for $13. Since it was a popular menu item, I decided to order the Tower 9 sandwich and I sure was not disappointed. The sandwich was chicken salad, avocado, pepper jack, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, sprouts and mustard on squaw bread. I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh the ingredients tasted and how flavorful the sandwich was! Most sandwiches end up a little dry, but this sandwich had plenty of moisture from the chicken salad and vegetables. The sandwich itself was pretty balanced, with some tang coming from the mustard, creaminess coming from the chicken salad, and some freshness coming from the vegetables. If anything, perhaps a tad bit more salt would've really amped the sandwich up a notch! This tiny cafe wouldn't be a place you would find wandering down the street. It's hidden by an apartment/hotel complex surrounded by other businesses that wouldn't necessarily make you think there was a cafe here. I found this on Yelp and they had me at "Avocado". There is a free parking lot within walking distance to the cafe and there are signs pointing you to straight to it. They have a separate breakfast menu, which they stop serving at 11am. I came looking for the salmon toast with poached egg, but was not sadly disappointed at my lunch choice. I got the Albacore Stuffed Avocado Salad with Balsamic and the sweet Islander juice drink. The salad was huge and everything was so fresh. The avocado was ginormous and perfectly ripe. The albacore had a lot of flavor which surprised me. I was afraid it was just going to taste like something out of a can, but it didn't! If you don't want a juice that is too bitter or full of that vegetable flavor, the Islander is full of fruits and is very sweet! Totally hits the spot! My cousin ordered the Summer Salmon Wrap with a side of chips. She said it was very delicious, seemingly light but still very filling! We highly recommend this little cafe. You may have to do a little traveling and scavenging to get here but it's well worth the effort! You just Hass to have it (hehe)! read more

Came here for brunch! Ordered: islander juice, and tuna salad sandwich with a cup of tomato soup. Taste: the islander juice wasn't supposed to have ginger, but I definitely tasted ginger in it, so I didn't like it much. The tuna sandwich was pretty good, because the ingredients tasted pretty fresh. The tomato soup was pretty sweet and it was nice that they had a side of chips to go with the cup of soup. Overall, I would definitely come back to eat their food but I don't think I'll order their drinks again. The juice was definitely freshly juiced, but i didn't like the ginger. read more

Literally everything is delicious here so it's hard to pick a favorite- the sandwiches are huge and they're all made with care and they taste amazing! The salads are always fresh and delicious, and the breakfast options are the best!! I recommend the salmon toast and breakfast burrito (hands down the best breakfast burrito in the area). Also their smoothies and bowls are refreshing and tasty I've never had a bad avocado here once! Sometimes you get a bad batch of guacamole or overly ripe at other places- but NEVER had a bad avocado from avocado cafe! And they're generous with the avocados so if you're a fan of the fruit you'll love this place. The albacore salad with half avocado is another favorite... you literally can't go wrong with any menu item. Of course my sandwich was great (the kissler), and my co-workers said their sandwiches had great flavor, but they give you like 8 chips. For the price, I am very disappointed that you couldn't spare a decent amount of chips. My one co-worker ordered the salmon wrap, and that was an EXTREMELY pathetic wrap. I got an BLTA: bacon, lettuce, tomato, AVOCADO sandwhich with pepperjack on whole wheat bread and extra avocado. Ugh so good!! It had this jalapeno ranch spread which gives a great kick for someone who likes it. Definitely my kind of sandwich!! Fulfilled!!! It has a few options like pickles or chips and some of the Yelp pictures, people add sprouts for some texture. I opted for a fruit salad which got me three huge slices of watermelon. Yum. I had the loaded grilled cheese, and it was super tasty. It had bacon, cheese, avo and poached eggs. My friends got the burrito and the avocado toast. Each plate was served with some fresh, juicy watermelon! I also had the Nutella ice latte. It was super tasty and not too sweet! Love at first bite... the basicilo sandwich was phenomenal. Every bite was highly flavorful and tasted so fresh! My husband and I decided to share this for brunch and it was quite a generous portion. We share meals often and this is one of the rare instances that they brought it out to us on two separate plates, which I found to be very thoughtful and accommodating! What a gem find! I came here with my bf and we got a salmon toast and breakfast burrito. The salmon toast was so good, very filling but doesn't feel heavy. It has basil pesto, cream cheese, and is topped with a poached eggs and all of it just works perfectly! My boyfriend described the egg as an "impeccable God given yolk" LOL. The breakfast burrito was great as well but as you can tell we were all about the salmon toast. The memorable service is the reason for the review though. It's a casual spot, you order inside and there's ample seating outside, which is where we decided to eat since I think it's still only takeout. As we were finishing up, the owner came out to ask if we had enjoyed our food and offered to pick up our table, a simple but true demonstration of the service and standards of this business. This cafe had me at "avocado"! I'm not a huge fan of sandwiches therefore I would rarely go out of my way for one. Avocado Cafe deemed to be an exception to that rule because of my love for this fatty and creamy fruit and how it's very much present in almost all their sandwiches. Price is about $9 each. Quite high, I know...but with good reason. Using only quality ingredients, they don't skimp out on them either. Here's what I tried: STYME'S BASILICO ($8.50) -- Ciabatta, spring mix, fresh buffalo mozzarella, tomato, avocado, oilive oil, balsamic vinegar, and house basil pesto. Being a carnivore, I'm surprised I didn't even miss the meat here. Each component was fresh and played its role nicely. Love the ciabatta bread! It's a classy sandwich worth indulging in. My favorite here! KISSEL'S TURKEY CLUB ($8.90) -- Using squaw bread, this has turkey, applewood smoked bacon, avocado, tomato, white cheddar, lettuce, sprouts, cucumber and light mayo. Didn't realize a sandwich can be as exciting as this. This was really flavorful. It's hard to decide what to get when you're here with these types of choices on their menu. THE CHUY ($8.90) -- Another turkey sandwich with applewood smoked bacon and avocado but this time on wheat bread using goat cheese and honey dijon mustard/mayo spread. Lettuce, tomato, and pickles are present adding a crunch to each bite. Now, this is gourmet at its best. Every ingredient highlights each other without stepping over anything, thus adding a depth of flavors for your taste buds to enjoy. JOSE'S BLTA ($8) -- This is their version of a BLT but with avocado, of course. Did I like it? Absolutely! The provolone cheese and jalapeno ranch spread sealed the deal for me. REUTER'S HB AVO ORIGINAL ($8.75) -- Now, here's what got me excited to try this place out. It's tuna sandwich on wheat bread with white cheddar, light mayo, mustard, avocado, cucumber, tomato, sprouts, and spike seasoning. Verdict? Let's just say it's my least favorite out of everything I mentioned. The mustard somehow took over this sandwich so the rest of the ingredients took backstage and didn't shine as much as I wanted them to. Take note: You can request for your sandwich to be made as a wrap or panini and it's served with a side of your choice (potato salad, fresh fruits, pasta salad, whole pickle, etc.). Tucked away behind high rise buildings, it can be tricky to find this place but Waze led me here with no problems. Parking is available at the structure and free for the 1st two hours.
