As a long-time customer, today's experience was genuinely disappointing. After buying coffee with my kids, I met up with a friend and planned to sit down and watch the second half of the USA vs. Australia World Cup match. The café was already showing the game on a Spanish-language channel when we arrived. However, shortly after we ordered and sat down, an employee turned the game off for no apparent reason. At first, I assumed the shop was about to close, but I later checked and saw that closing time wasn't until 4 PM. We ended up watching the match on our phones instead. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that one staff member repeatedly moved chairs around near us, creating loud scraping noises. Maybe she was genuinely rearranging furniture, or maybe it was a not-so-subtle way of encouraging us to leave. Either way, it certainly didn't feel welcoming. I've been supporting this café for nearly two years because it's conveniently located next to the gym I frequent. Unfortunately, today's service and overall attitude left a very negative impression. I work right next to this bakery, and I gotta say...not great. Their Paninis are exceptionally dry, and don't really contain much meat and a piece of wilted lettuce. Not much sauce to balance out the dryness of the bread. The service is fine? I wasn't really blown away (nor do I need to be from a place like this), but have one really odd complaint about this place. They offer fries on thier menu, and have offered fries since the day they opened. They don't actually have fries there. I have been here three times and asked for fries on my panini each time to be told "we don't have fries, sorry". I have asked each time why it isn't removed from the menu, and no one has been able to explain to me why it hasn't. Incredibly odd decision to continue to keep it up on the menu. Honey Lavender (8.6/10) - I am not a huge fan with floral taste in general, so my rating probably doesn't give it justice. The honey lavender flavor goes well with the bitter espresso, and you can smell the floral scent as you drink it. It is not as sweet as the OMG latte. It is just not my type of drink. read more

This cafe is within a business complex amidst a couple other restaurants. A parking structure has free designated spots when validated at the counter. I ordered a regular hot latte and chose a chocolate & almond croissant from the available pastries. There are plenty of seats inside and a nice patio too. I sat indoors and noticed that although customers are supposed to bus their tables, many had trash or mugs left on them. Even though it was very quiet on my visit the staff had not come to clean any of them off. I guess it was my fault that I didn't specify I was having my order for there, so my latte was in a to-go cup rather than a ceramic mug as others had. The latte was okay, average and not memorable. The croissant was unique - half the filling was chocolate and the other half frangipane. The pastry itself was fresh and delish while both chocolate and almond flavors coalesced for a perfect taste combination. They also sold chocolates made by Leonidas, a famous Belgian chocolatier that I'd never heard of. I purchased three: one with praline filling with a touch of orange, one pistachio, and one dark chocolate. I thought they were all quite good and obviously premium chocolates, but honestly I've had better high-end, quality chocolates from other chocolatiers...but that's just me. read more

You shouldn't need to find out where someone works before deciding they're worthy of basic respect. Whether I worked next door or nowhere near here, I'm still a paying customer. I'm buying a $10 parfait. Treat me like every other customer. That's it. One employee used to be genuinely friendly. We'd had several normal conversations over multiple visits. Then suddenly the energy changed. Did someone tell her not to talk to me? I have no idea. Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, the vibe shifted, and it was noticeable. Pandor is located in the Lakeshore office complex. I'm always a little hesitant to try new places within an office complex because I have parking anxiety. However, Pandora's location and the parking complex is quite easy. Pandor has their own section for parking and it's easy to get in and out and access to the restaurant. I came at 8:30 on a Tuesday and they were not too busy. They have an abbreviated menu compared to their other locations. Their coffee is quite strong, which is great because I really need a strong coffee on this Tuesday. Simple latte does the check for me. They have a small pastry case with to go sandwiches and salads also. I love breakfast burritos and they have one on their menu which I will need to try in the future. Parking is validated. Casual. Was really hoping to make this my go to coffee shop to get work done a few times and then go to gym next door. Disappointing. For a premium priced coffee shop/bakery the coffee is meh, the place is not cleaned after every day's shift (sticky chairs, crumbs and food on the floor from prior day, no tap water in cooler). On top of it, shift manager has attitude and is passive aggressive. Who needs that!?! Was pretty empty for a working morning so hope owners make some adjustments otherwise rent is going to get pretty expensive vs revenue. A friend of mine and I were in the mood for some sweet treats and caffeine on Thursday 12/26/24 so we visited Pandor. Pandor is located at The Market Place in Irvine (by Lifetime Fitness). There are designated spots for Pandor in the garage adjacent to the bakery. You can validate for up to 3 hours. The parking spot is only good for 1-hour. I ordered the lavender honey latte, my friend just got a drip. We shared the Oreo cheesecake and a pineapple croissant. I really wanted the affogato - but the barista said they have a lot of items on their menu which they don't offer at this location. Kind of bummed about that. I'm still dreaming of the almond croissant I bought there. I also really enjoyed the recommended chicken mushroom crepe even though I don't normally like crepes. Maybe it was the creamy sherry sauce or the chunks of chicken or the big slices of mushrooms, it was just yummy and the arugula side salad was generous with diced beets which was a nice addition to the sliced tomato.
