    French Toast Forever
    Abbe W.

I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time and finally came here to celebrate the belated Mother's Day for my girls "day" out. The place is located in a food court strip mall that is surrounded by businesses. As a result, this strip mall gets very busy around lunch time. The place has healthy options. I ordered the Turkey Pesto Sandwich with a side of salad since it was a brunch gathering. The portion was perfect and filling too. Taste was spot on. After I finished my lunch, I didn't feel super stuffed at all. Seeing they have breakfast options, a few days later I brought my daughter over for early breakfast. We ordered the French Toast Forever and Espresso Mascarpone Waffle. They were delicious and beautifully presented. My daughter and I came around 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. There was no crowd at all. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter approved of the place and we'll be coming back again.

    Baja sandwich

I decided to try something different this time and ordered the Baja sandwich instead of my usual breakfast burrito. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. Every time I took a bite, the bottom of the sandwich was so watery that it made my fingers wet while I was holding it. It seemed like there was too much moisture, which made the sandwich messy and took away from the overall experience. The flavors were okay, but the texture wasn't enjoyable because of how soggy it became. I should have stuck with my regular breakfast burrito, which has always been great. Hopefully this was just an off day, because I've had better experiences here in the past.

I came here for the first time over the weekend and loved the food here. The essentials: the standard, typical American breakfast with eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice between bacon/sausage, and toast or salad. The breakfast potatoes were good and flavorful. We picked sausage, but unfortunately they offer turkey sausage here instead of pork (so it's a little dry and bland). It's what you can expect from an American breakfast and a solid breakfast option Lemon ricotta hotcakes: The portion size is HUGE! I definitely recommend sharing with another person unless you have a large pancake appetite, haha. The honeycomb butter is sooooo delicious. I didn't even feel like I needed syrup for the pancakes after spreading the butter :) Nice lemon flavor, but I definitely wished it was a little more prominent Even though the line looks long, it does move quickly and I like that they had an employee managing the line inside and outside :) There's only a limited amount of seating inside, but plenty of tables outdoors. Considering how crowded it was, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Plenty of parking in the lot. I would definitely come back!

Amazing breakfast burrito! I ordered mine with the turkey sausage, and I was not disappointed. The eggs were fluffy, sausage not overdone, crisp potatoes, and good sauce!

Loved our experience here. Food was fantastic, staff were friendly and the owner even came out and asked if we needed anything and also told us about special kids items we could order that aren't on the menu. My coffee was perfect and not overwhelming with the rose flavor. Food portions were pretty big and I would love to come back next time I visit!

Wonderful service and very friendly and attentive staff. They were quick to taking orders and dropping by to serve the food. Wait time is so minimal. Guests are quiet and polite, everyone was smiling and happy including staff. A few things I didn't like was that they had a drinking water dispenser with cups on the side by a window by the front door, but there was no ice in the water dispenser container. The water was sitting by the sun, so it was very warm. It was a very hot morning, so I would have enjoyed ice cold water. A side of scrambled eggs were also $5.00 and I didn't think it tasted that great. Regardless, thank you for such a nice breakfast! I will definitely come back because I enjoyed the vibes here. The lemon ricotta pancakes are absolutely fluffy and delicious with really good quality fresh fruit. It's worth the price considering the taste and portion size. I highly recommend.

Being in the area once a week, we decided we would try a new place each time. Today, we stumbled upon EVERYDAY EATERY. Located in a big shopping plaza, with lots of parking available, we grabbed breakfast. There are a few tables inside, which were all mostly taken, which is a good sign for a Tuesday morning. But there are plenty of tables outside as well. We got The Essentials which consists of eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon or turkey sausage, and toast or salad. Had to try the lemon ricotta hotcakes which were my favorite. So fluffy and absolutely delicious. I also tried their cardamom rose latte which was really good, too! Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast here. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and food is great!

    Chicken breakfast burrito

I haven't been here in quite a number of years so I thought I would give their breakfast burrito a try based on the strong reviews. I was not disappointed!! The server was kind enough to give me an extra salsa when I asked for it. I'm accustomed to having spicy salsa which this was not but it paired well with the burrito. I can't say I've ever had a chicken breakfast burrito but this was surprisingly good. First of all, it was temperature hot which I appreciate. The tortilla was browned and thin which is perfect. The only thing I would change next time, is to go lighter on the cheese. I ate half and saved the other half for breakfast the following day. The ambiance is bright and open. There was plenty of seating on this Thursday morning. This place is quite popular on weekends!!

Spanish Lattes, French Toast Forever and Bacon Breakfast Burrito

Today's trip was to try brunch and we were impressed! The customer service was sublime and we ordered: -French toast forever (a tad burnt and definitely needs more "stuffing". The stuffing was so light it kinda appeared like melted butter) -Breakfast bacon burrito (a little too salty, and the salsa it came with was delicious) -Spanish Lattes (best I ever had)

I got a chance to visit Everyday Eatery today and had an average experience. Food: I ordered the scrambled egg sandwich with breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was delicious and so was the breakfast potatoes. I also got to try the hot coffee which was also good. Service: The service here was average at best. You pay tip for them to bring you the food and you order at the counter. Ambiance: The decor inside is nice but the seating is not very comfortable.

We had a chance to try out this restaurant for breakfast this week. It is located along Irvine Center Drive, near Sand Canyon. We went in, sat down and waited. No one came to us? Strange? I went to the counter and was told you must stand in line and order your food. I grabbed a menu, read it, made a selection, and was given the option of 18 to 25 percent tip. What for? I did everything. Oh, they brought the food to me. Here we go again? A DYS restaurant. This seems to be happening everywhere. Restaurant owners are designing their service as DYS. Have we lost the value of human contact? Have we all given up on the value of humanity? Twenty years ago, everywhere you went, we talked to each other; now, it's tablet, cell phone, texting, tap your card, DYS eating. I asked for a coffee. They gave me a small paper cup. The coffee is really good, but not in a mug? No refills? The food came. It was okay. We sat shoulder to shoulder with other customers on a steel wire chair. It was not very comfortable at all. It would have been nice to talk to someone who worked there, but again, they just do their job and don't have time for chit chat. No reason, they are not earning tips. I rather go to Dennys up the street. They at least serve you and talk to you. The whole experience was Okay.

This is a cute cafe located in a busy shopping center with plenty of stores nearby. You order at the cashier, take your seat, and are served at the table via number. Everyone here was very nice, the cafe was clean, and it was busy but not overwhelming. We ordered the avocado toast with a side of eggs, the essentials plate, a rose latte, and an orange juice. Before tip, it was $60, which I thought was a little expensive for breakfast but given the area and the aesthetic it kind of fit the bill. The ingredients were fresh, but I did feel the avocado toast could've been seasoned more but not a big deal since they had salt and pepper on the table. I loved the mint/feta/sesame combo. Unfortunately, my husband was still hungry after his meal (and he's not normally a big eater). I think it would be valued more if the breakfast plate had just a bit more of the potato or an extra slice of toast.

This is a nice place for breakfast! It gets crowded on weekends so prepare for a long line but it goes by quickly. You seat yourselves and while there is limited space inside, there is plenty of outdoor seating. The staff is really nice and the owner kept checking in on us which was sweet. We got organic chai to drink. For food items, we got lemon ricotta hotcakes, breakfast burritto with bacon, and a side of house made potatoes. Organic Chai- Served hot with just the right amount of sweetness and spiciness. A comforting drink for cold weather. House Potatoes- Served hot, crisp, and perfectly seasoned. The chipotle aioli is smoky with a little kick of heat. Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes- The hotcakes were soft and fluffy. They give sliced bananas and berries for a fruity accent. The honeycomb butter was the best part! It added sweetness and a crunchy texture that elevated the dish. Breakfast Burritto- You can pick a protein and we went with bacon which was crisp and meaty. The burritto was loaded with eggs, potatoes, green onion and cheese. Chipotle aioli and roasted salsa tie the flavors together. Very filling! Great experience overall!

Hello, what brands do you use for chai and matcha? Thank you.

HI there! We use Mizuba Matcha and Inteligencia Chai.

    Are dogs allowed?

Only service dogs are allowed inside but there is patio seating where they can be

Besides the sweet foods and breakfast sandwiches (can't have eggs), are there options that onion/garlic/scallions/chives/etc can be removed? I know there are sauces and seasonings but I'm unsure if they contain alliums (those foods listed above)?

I highly recommend our Vegan Scramble with Brown Rice (instead of the quinoa; containing onions). This is one of my favorite dishes on the menu, and meets your dietary requirements!

Can you please have a separate line for patrons who only want to order to-go drinks? It doesn't make sense to stand in super long lines just for a latte ☹️

Absolutely! If you're ever after beverages only, you are welcome to come to the to-go table and we can jump the line for drinks!

On the weekends, when will phone and online ordering be back?

Is there outdoor seating right now?

Yes there is shared outdoor space. Shared space is for all restaurant patrons in the plaza.

    Do they have WiFi?

Hi there. Sand Canyon Plaza has guest wifi services for the whole plaza, and there are conventional plugs and phone charging points at a number of locations outside. Hope this helps.

    Does this place take reservations?

We are counter-service, and you don't need reservations to come eat here. We have plenty of outdoor seating and there is no problem finding a table.

Is it laptop friendly 😂 😂 go to Barnes & Noble or Starbucks

Do you guys have lavender syrup for coffee?

Your timing is perfect! We make all of our syrups in house, and we are adding lavender to the menu tomorrow!

What vegan breakfast options do you have?

We have vegan options for our Avo Toast and Maple Olive Oil Granola, and our Macro Bowl is vegan too. Currently, we have a vegan carrot cake as well. In the coming weeks, we are launching a vegan scramble bowl with tofu and veges, and a vegan… Read more

Do they have any high chairs for kids?

    No high chairs sorry.

Are you a nut free restaurant?

No, sorry, we are not nut-free.

Can I order breakfast at lunch time?

Yes, last time I went at lunch time I was able to order breakfast.

Is there outdoor seating so that we can our dog?

    Yes, plenty outside.

Can they make whole grain pancakes?

Right now we have a house-made hotcake batter using ricotta and other ingredients. It is not a whole-grain recipe, and we don't have a gluten free option for this dish.

    Do you serve organic coffee?

We serve Stumptown 'Hairbender' blend espresso, and House blend for our brewed coffee. The emphasis is on having the highest quality and consistency, and on ethical farming and trading practices. Although Stumptown does offer some organic varieties,… Read more

There are 3 indoor tables, 3 outdoor tables, and a long counter where customers can stand. I ordered one of their special signature drinks, an iced mint cold brew. A look into their pastry case led me to also request a raspberry danish. The single person behind the counter who was taking orders and working as barista was not exactly charming but it was understandable as she was slammed with multiple customers right when I arrived. My order was presented within a couple minutes (she was great at multitasking!) and I sat out on the patio. The iced mint cold brew was refreshing and was like drinking a box of Campfire Girl mints, both chocolatey and minty (sidebar: I am so sad that, as of last year, those mints are no longer made). It essentially was a mocha made with coconut milk and mint syrup; I really liked it. The pastry was rather dry but the raspberry filling was vibrant in flavor and not overly sweet. The vibe is more of a place for hotel guests to have a business meeting or to grab something prior to dashing off to a corporate event rather than just a place to hang out. But it's also a great option if you are near the Irvine Spectrum and just want to stop to quickly get a coffee drink and sit for a short break.

The place used to feel more spruced up, and while the decor is mostly the same, it now seems a bit dilapidated. The restrooms aren't very clean, and there's a whole area toward the back that just looks sad. I can't really fault them for that part, because it might be due to renting or zoning issues as it seems like an unused shared space that just looks unkempt. The interior has a lot of seating but when I arrived around 10:30am every single seat was taken (around 40 people were laptopping away); it was packed! This thwarted my plans to relax and enjoy coffee and pastry before driving home. I hesitantly decided to order to take home: a hot vanilla latte plus two items from their pastry case - a blueberry muffin and an almond croissant. The latte was blistering hot and needed the 20 minute drive home to cool down enough to drink. It lacked vanilla taste and just tasted burnt; thanks but I can get that at Starbucks. The cost of this child-sized cup was as much as most places charge for a large. When I opened the bag for my pastries, I was surprised to see instead of a blueberry muffin I was given a cinnamon roll with no icing - just sprinkled with lots and lots of cinnamon sugar. How can you mistake this for a blueberry muffin? She even repeated my order and I even directly pointed to it. The roll was fresh but with each bite, cinnamon sugar sprayed all over. After two bites and showering the table with tiny bits of sugary cinnamon, it got tossed. The almond croissant was the absolute worst pastry I've ever had. It was an embarrassment. The texture and flavor was like eating sand - unbelievably dry, crumbly, and flavorless. One expects an almond croissant to have frangipane or almond paste inside. This croissant was cut lengthwise in half and had a minuscule amount of some sort of tasteless cream spread between the halves; I couldn't even see it but knew from the moistness that something was there. I can't convey how truly awful this pastry was. The only good thing I can say was that the two women working here were nice even though they made a terrible latte and don't know what a blueberry muffin is.
