I really enjoyed their soft fish tacos. They were not too bland or overly salty. The fish was not dry and hard but tender and flakey. Good sized portions for your money too. Added a chips and salsa and I have to say that this is the freshest salsa I have had on the island in a long time! Go and enjoy this little gem of a place. It doesn't taste like they make it fresh..it tasted packaged to me. With the name being "avocados" you'd think they would make their guacamole fresh.. The seating is horrible. Three tables and then a long table against the window with a few chairs. The chairs are uncomfortable. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, and I'd only come back if I was in the area. Brought my Wife back and she had the pork burrito, fresh guacamole, salsa, sour cream black beans & rice. The pork was well seasoned and pulled, delicious. I had the soft shell triple play soft tacos with pork, steak, and beef. Each taco was pleasantly stuffed with fresh greens, etc, and the manager gave me 2 homemade hot sauce salsas, one green and one red spicy hot, both excellent. Also tried there pork & cheese stuffed empanadas which came out piping hot. Put an order in online clearly stating what we wanted. They didn't give us the chips and queso and gave us a steak burrito instead of ground beef. When I called back to get it corrected they told me the person picking it up didn't say we got chips and queso and proceeded to read the correct order back to me. He then told me it was the "guy who picked it ups fault" bc he didn't tell him what we ordered. The fiesta burrito is delicious! It's a combination of pork, plantains, grilled onions, cheese and sour cream. It's a perfect combination of sweet and salty. The pork is tender and flavorful. The service is polite and helpful. Definitely recommend for a casual meal. You can call your order ahead of time. They do get busy at dinner time. I'm sad this place doesn't have better service because the food is really good and the portions are big. The fiesta burrito is my favorite! They advertise that they are gluten free if you get the burritos in a bowl, which is awesome, but too bad they only follow your request half of the time. Just ordered a fiesta burrito bowl tonight again, and this is now the 3rd time they wrapped it in a tortilla instead of putting it in a bowl. I also ordered 2 and only received 1. The reason why I am giving this place a two star is nothing to do with food..but other reasons. 1) this place is filthy, very very dirty. Inside all over the place there are so many so many flies, sit on you, your food, can imagine sitting onto all the food behind counter as well. Tons and tons of flies. Then as I am waiting I see a spider. This was disgusting. 2) the walls and especially ceilings are so disgustingly dirty filled with dust and cow webs on all ceiling tiles. 3) they are charging something called "Order Fee" in addition to the tax on your food and it's not cheap, it comes out to 4% in addition to tax. This is not something that is told to customers, or listed anywhere. 4) the employees behind counter were all sweating and looked very unhappy and attitude. Only the girl at the register was really nice. 5) their back prep room is so dirty and not a hygienic at all. For a restaurant I am surprised health department hasn't shut this place down. Now let me make it clear - if above things don't matter to you, definitely go there to eat, food is phenomenal and really really good. Everything else is not good. read more

This place is a solid 4. It won't blow you away in everything, but there are some super good meals on the menu for a good value. The first time I went I got a buffalo chicken burrito, and I was very disappointed. However the next time I went I got a regular burrito with the chorizo and it was unbelievable, and HUGE. The meat was great and everything was stuffed to the brim. The buffalo chicken one I had before just lacked flavor which was why I was originally disappointed. I also got the Chipotle potato soup that was the special, and it was just OK. I was expecting more of a potato cream soup but it's a broth kind of soup that's dark. It was pretty decent, but not what I thought it was going to be. All in all for a MONSTER burrito at a good price, I will definitely be back here. It truly is HUGE; it can be shared as two meals. My daughters have raved about the chicken quesadillas as they chock full of meat and cheese. Total came to roughly $28 a little expensive for this style of a restaurant (no servers, only high top tables, no real plates or silverware). Alongside my dish was an itsy bitsy container of green stuff. At first I thought it was a tomatillos sause but when I stuck my little pinkie inside, it was sweet and creamy. Oooooolala! What do we have here? In went the tongue, and Whoa Nellie, this stuff was off the charts! The chef told me it was cilantro based salad dressing that he makes himself. Yummm! Got some Tex-Mex takeout here one night and I definitely a fan! I had the sautéed vegetable burrito and it was humungous and delicious. Black beans, brown rice, sour cream, guacamole were incorporated with sautéed zucchini and mushrooms. It was hard to finish this monster but, I managed, hehe. They give you two sauces to accompany, one is a chipotle sauce and the other is a green tomatillo sauce. Both have a touch of heat and are so good! I was very happy to have some chipotle left over so I could use it again ;) The prices are very reasonable and the food is great, will most definitely be back for more. read more

I went there and it cost $35 for two people. The food was excessive in size and flavors used. We should have shared one dish. I was disappointed with the taste of everything ordered. The salsa was ok tasting but had liquid with tomato pieces that was very difficult to eat. The guacamole was very watery and seemed like it was made at lunch time. We ate at 6.30pm. Overall, if it was half the price it would be ok, just ok. Note, I did just get back from Mexico so I'm holding them to a higher standard than usual. This is my first 1 star. This little hole in the wall is great! The food is fresh and super in-expensive. They definitely give you a lot for your money! My mother and I went there and we got an appetizer of chips and guacamole, my mother ordered veggie fajitas and I got a chicken burrito . The appetizer came with a huge tub of guacamole and a small tray over flowing with chips. My mothers fajitas came out steaming hot and FULL of veggies. The menu plays it safe on all fronts, except for the experimental "Avocado" quesadilla (bacon, blue cheese, jack cheddar salsa, red onion, with a creamy avocado dressing on the side) which totally missed the mark: None of the menu items here have fresh avocado in them, not even the salads (although they do have guacamole). . .
