    Burnt CornBread

A full chicken comes with 2 legs, correct? I feel bad for this place. Prime location and they could be killing it. The chicken I ordered, full one, looked like it had been mutilated and wasn't even complete as a chicken. Potato salad was creamy, not good. CornBread was burnt and super small. Just give some decent portions and you will have repeat customers. Super simple food, how do you screw it up??. Not sure how they are surviving but I would put a big bet it's not on their BBQ. Service was nice. Ambiance needs an update, doesn't take much. Just a little effort. What is going on Los Angeles??!! Away for 8 yrs in the Bay Area and I come back to this?!! Yikes

I feel bad doing this, but I feel like it needs to be done. To preface, I had really good brisket at some place in OC this weekend, so I had high expectations and was hoping to get the same level of satisfaction. I went on Yelp and got excited to find this place. To sum it up: NO. I got the brisket, and it was tough, lacked smoke flavor, and tasted a little old. I was hungry, so I forced myself to eat it since it is food, and the BBQ sauce made it bearable. The positive side... Mac and cheese was ok (3/5), baked beans (2/5), and the employees were friendly.

Horrible place! Ordered rib-20$ ?! It was just a bone, no meat at all! Ask to change a dish- no, asking manager- no. Not recommended

A great little find in Marina Del Rey! They have a bbq menu and a mexican menu, since it was out first time we went with all bbq options. The man at the counter was friendly and said everything was good. The brisket sandwich was very yummy but could use a little more meat for the price. My friend had the beef ribs combo which he said were the best he had ever had, we watched the meat fall off the bone! Will definitely be back to try the mexican options.

Everything was cold and has no flavor and is all burnt and I am very upset on that fact they took over a great texas bbq spot and now are mis representing the original owners name! PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE MY DOG WOULDNT EAT IT AND I THROW AWAY EVERYTHING ELSE I took pics just to show case this travesty.

    The menu. Amazing staff.

Food was amazing! The value per portions was generous. I definitely will be back..I recommend the hamburger or the brisket sandwich..

Marco is an amazing Chef ! I had the Beef Brisket, collard greens and cornbread. It was delicious ! I immediately had a flashback of my childhood days, when my dad & mom prepared food for me. The Brisket is tender and flavorful. Your choice of sweet & mild or spicy barbecue sauce. The collard greens are smoky & tasty. The cornbread is moist & sweet. Easily my 3 favorite choices for my Friday dinner. You'll want to try this for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

This place was not good. At least for the BBQ. It was cold the entire order, threw away the cornbread cuz that was cold and extremely dense, the Mac and cheese is watered down and the brisket half a pound was only 3 slices of brisket (that was depressing) deff don't recommend

Haven't had the ribs but they have the best street tacos I've ever had in LA. The chorizo is my favorite and their hot sauce is soooo tasty.

What an amazing way to enjoy a nice weekend. The bbq was awesome. Tender, smoky, and tasty. We got to try these items. Lamb rack - very tender not gamey at all. Peking Duck - came with a very interesting fun blackberry sauce. Taste foie gras like yums. Crispy Pork Belly - super crunchy and basically melts in your mouth ooooweee! Favorite bite of the day. Short ribs - super beefy and tender Pork ribs - Smokey and tender Corn bread - soft, crumbly, and sweet. Yums had like 3 pieces. Baguette - crispy crust, soft airy interior with a nice chew (reminds me of sour dough) Paired the bbq with some beer and cocktails. Super fun dining experience. So close to the beach so we got to check that out as well. Heads up the lot next door is $20. Should Carpool.

My wife and I went with friends and had NO idea what we were walking into. We got there early and ended up waiting almost two hours before they even opened. I was hungry hungry and getting close to hangry... but the wild part? Everyone in line was in a good mood. People were excited. You could tell we were all about to experience something special. When the doors finally opened and we walked in, it felt like a show. You've got Adam at this huge cutting board, chopping smoked meat right in front of everyone. The smell, the energy, the sound of the knife hitting the board -- it's dinner and entertainment. We had the pork belly and ribs. Each plate came with a solid handful of pickles and peppers that cut through the richness perfectly. The pork belly had insane texture -- tender, flavorful, with that little bit of crunch that takes it over the top. Then he drips that mop sauce over it... I was in heaven. The two pieces of Texas toast underneath just soak everything up like a blanket for the meat. No joke, my whole group went quiet while eating. That's how good it was. That meal actually inspired me to buy a smoker and start trying to smoke meat myself. I try... but Adam is out here making magic. Second time was in Venice at Gin Rummy Bar. This time we had ribs again and the Dino beef ribs. Those Dino ribs? Ridiculous. So tender, so rich -- straight meat heaven. The kind of food that makes you close your eyes for a second. Now I literally look for excuses to be near Venice just to see if I can catch the pop-up, even though he sells out all the time. Big thank you to Adam and the crew. This isn't just great BBQ -- it's an experience.

The guacamole was perfectly seasoned and they gave you a good size bowl for seven dollars. Most restaurants give you a little scoop and charge $10-15.00 which I find hard to believe. Everything came out very burnt and crispy. I suspect that is their style of BBQ. It worked for some things and less so for others... My favorite was the tri-tip. It worked well with the char on the outside but the meat still retained its tenderness. It was very flavorful. Some of the wings were good -- crispy on the outside, but other wings were too dry. Same with the ribs. I was initially excited for this, but as I continued eating, found that some of the ribs had really dried out. I thought that the collards worked well with the super charred bacon bits, and the mac and cheese was very creamy. However, the corn bread was a bit dry, which is a shame, because I thought that the cheese might have saved it with a bit more moisture. Overall, I might come back to try different options -- and probably stay with things with the tri-tip, but avoid the other BBQ meats.

My…read moredad hadn't been here so it was a perfect time to give the ribs, brisket and tri-tip a try again. We got the 4 bbq deal that comes with 2 sides. Get the coupon online for $10 off! Ribs were the tastiest. Not overdone and slathered with their signature BBQ sauce. While I'm a dry rub person, the sauce was sugary but ok. The brisket was second and then the tri-tip was alright. Overall the beans and slaw sides and the garlic rolls were probably better than the tri-tip and the portions were so tiny for what you pay. So it is these days.... Though I do recall it feeling the same back on the day when I first tried out HC when they opened. They have a variety of brews on tap and happy hour not for the bbq but the sandwiches if you wanna not break the bank. Lots of salads and sandwich options if you wanted to not focus so much on the BBQ. Dining inside is ok. For a Friday night there weren't many people helping out in the front of house. Staff were friendly and it's got a chill vibe; they've got 2 TVs if you wanted to catch a game. Parking is the free valet kind since the shopping center is packed with eateries with little parking. From someone who's had BBQ from other parts of the country... not sure HC is a must have. But it's not a bad option on the west side that doesn't have much BBQ to write home about.

I've been to many other Korean BBQ places in Ktown where you usually just manage your own cooking, but here they do it for you which excited my mom since she didn't know anything about how to or what everything was, so it suited her just fine. She even joked with our servers, it was great being fussed over. The combo A was the perfect amount of food for two people and there was still leftovers. Loved the scallion pancake, it was perfect. The staff was attentive, friendly, and consistently on top of everything. That said, this was one of the more mainstream and less traditional Korean BBQ restaurants I've been to. I've been to a lot of KBBQ spots, and this one had a very different feel. The food itself wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out to me either. Our bill came out to around $550 for seven people, and for that price, I expected portions that felt more proportionate to what we paid. The portions were on the smaller side, so the overall value did not really match the cost. I will say, the banchan was pretty good, and I enjoyed that part of the meal. However, some of the main dishes felt like they were adjusted more toward a broader palate rather than traditional Korean flavors. For example, the soybean paste stew was much saltier than what I'm used to. Overall, the service was great, but the food and portions were just so-so for the price. If you're looking for a clean, modern KBBQ spot with attentive service, this may be worth trying. But if you're looking for portions that feel fair for the price and a more traditional Korean BBQ experience, there are other places I would personally choose first.
