This review is for the mixed ceviche only since I've previously reviewed the fish and shrimp tacos. The mixed ceviche might be one of my new favorites. The plate is huge and comes with a side of tostados. The ceviche is not fishy at all and really refreshing. This was the first time I've had to wait in line because they were packed. I came around lunch time on a Saturday. Nonetheless, service was quick! If you're looking for a casual lunch or dinner spot with really good food, definitely come here.

Great local spot for quick and delicious fish tacos. Baja style for both fish and shrimp are great but I like to mix it up and get grilled which is a good change up. Tried the mixed ceviche this time around and the portions are huge and went so well with all the ingredients. They were pretty busy Saturday noon time but workers were great and efficient food came out fast. They have outdoor spot and have TVs playing sports. Great place to hang

This food was really good. Deceptive locale (I'm learning that this is often the case in this part of Cali- I'm visiting) but the food speaks over any trash talk about the spot. As it should. We ordered lots: the stand out was the crispy fish and shrimp burrito that I was honestly nervous about, wondering if the crisp would be lost in the sauces n stuff. It wasn't. Super flavorful, even the rice tasted like something. I smeared Guac on before each bite, which was a nice, cooling touch. Didn't eat much of the black beans but they were hot and tasty too. Overall, I great place when it's taste and fullness you're after. Two word review: crispy swai?!

This place is pretty darn good. A quick grad for a burrito for a long day. They had surf and turf burritos. Their salsa is a really good too. The interior is clean, an older establishment. The staff was friendly and helpful on the phone. It does have its own parking lot of maybe six cars.

Baja Fish tacos were great and I'd come back for those. The shrimp in the Baja shrimp tacos didn't taste that fresh and the shrimp was slightly overcooked. The quesadilla was very large, but a little too heavy on the cheese in the middle and it was a bit greasy. If you get it to go, ask for the sour cream to be on the side, separated from the lettuce and salsa. They have good spicy hot sauce. Service was pretty decent and the food came out in less than five minutes.

The food is good. The service is always great. The place is always clean. They're fast it's delicious and it's right down the street from my house. It's a win-win win-win situation all the way around.

Horchata , very sweet and homemade.

Solid solid fish tacos! Reasonable prices! I chose grilled fish instead of fried. Except the tacos were a little too salty for my taste but good overall. They also offer agua fresca like horchata, tamarindo and pineapple. They didn't have jamaica when I went. Horchata is homemade but too sweet for my taste. I had to ask for more ice to take the sweetness down. Many TVs available and tables inside and out. Parking lot next to the restaurant. Friendly and quick service!

Simple and straightforward place for fish and shrimp tacos, seafood cocktail, and the usual. Indoor tables and outdoor (covered patio) seating, focused on both grilled and Baja (fried) fish and shrimp, and the quality is good, although we didn't find it memorable. There's parking on the side, although spaces are not large or terribly long so be careful when you park a larger vehicle. Service is 5*, and if you're already in the area it's a great place. If you're not, it's a bit of a harder sell.

We were in the area so we decided to give this place a try. After a quick peek at the reviews, we opted for the baja fish and shrimp burrito.. The batter was crispy while the shrimp remained tender. The fish however had the slightest hint of freezer burn. The cabbage slaw was good but wished the burrito itself had more spice. They had green and red salsas available but neither added much spice. Service was excellent. Parking lot is tiny. If we're in the immediate area again, it may be worth giving it another try but it's not worth the extra drive.

I recently stopped here while craving fish tacos. I got 2 fish and 1 shrimp. They were both delicious, but I will say the fish was better. The green salsa paired perfectly with the creamy sauce on the taco. They were pretty empty, so my food came out right away. I came back a 2nd time and decided to try the bean and rice, which unfortunately both were bland. I took off a star for the bland sides and the grade was a "B" although it did look clean inside.

The cashier is super nice. The place is conveniently located across the street from church, so it's our goto place when we need to eat something right before going elsewhere. The ambiance is nice (no loud music) and it does have a peaceful vibe. The food is good. Not everything is seafood... there is something for everyone.

FISH TACOS! The fish and shrimp tacos were next-level good: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the toppings? Chef's kiss My friend Marcus got the ceviche and couldn't stop raving about it. Light, citrusy, and super fresh--definitely worth ordering if you're a fan. If you're craving coastal vibes and killer seafood, this place is a must.

Happy to say, every bit as good as the original, which is to say the best lobster rolls in Los Angeles, and that includes Salty Girl and Santa Monica Seafood. The lobster salad is also a great option as well as the lobster bisque. You are seeing the theme here, all lobster all the time and that is the entire menu but quality is outstanding. Only downsides are parking can be tough so go a bit early or a bit late and seating is also limited. Other than that, this place rocks if Lobster rolls are your jam so do not miss out.

Not sure if there is seating inside. But the service was quick and the packaging was all done nicely. For around $50 it came with a side of chips, paprika salt packet, a slice of lemon, butter, and garlic aioli. Everything was fresh and paired perfectly together. The warm butter brioche bread and the tender sweet lobster were great. I also ordered a side of brioche for sharing which added an extra $4. If you want a fresh lobster roll, def recommend stopping by if you don't mind the higher price!

As a Peruvian, I came in with high expectations, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to them…read more Overall, I'd rate the experience a 5/10. I started with the fish ceviche ($25.99). The restaurant said it was made with white sea bass, but the fish was cut into unusually large cubes that were awkward to eat and a bit too firm to bite through comfortably. More importantly, the fish itself lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment, however, was the leche de tigre. Instead of the bright, citrusy, balanced flavor that defines a great Peruvian ceviche, it tasted more like a ginger soup. The ginger completely overpowered the dish, making it difficult to recognize the classic flavors of authentic Peruvian ceviche. The chicken skewers were also underwhelming. When I order Peruvian-style skewers, I expect them to be grilled over charcoal or an open flame, with a smoky aroma and a nicely charred exterior. Instead, these lacked that signature grilled flavor. While the seasoning had potential, they were noticeably over-salted, and the bottom pieces were soggy, almost as if they had been sitting in their own juices instead of coming straight off the grill. What made the experience harder to justify was the price. We spent over $70 before tip for two entrées, two drinks, and a small side of huancaína sauce. At those prices, I expect authentic flavors and strong execution. Unfortunately, neither dish delivered enough quality to match the cost. The service was friendly, and I genuinely wanted to like this place, but the food fell short. Los Angeles has some excellent Peruvian restaurants, and based on this visit, I don't think Huarique is one I'd return to.
