I had an accident recently with my brand new Lexus nx 200 I did not trust any other body shop besides the one that was recommended by my dealer because I have had some bad experiences with previous body shops. They had an amazing team and took care of me from start to finish. The whole team was very knowledgeable in the operations that needed to be done to the car and kept me updated from start to finish. Even though my insurance delayed the process the body shop kept me informed with every step of the repair. I got a recommendation from Mercedes of Calabasas for this auto repair shop. I brought my car after an accident . A.W. Collision told me that the car needed extra repairs beyond what the Insurance company was willing to pay, and that it I needed to pay out of my pocket over $800 for two small screw holes that were actually in the frame. they told me that it was possible for this to rust. I was in a car accident in Calabasas. My first thought was to call my service advisor at the Lexus dealer in Woodland Hills. Peter recommended AW Collision because they work with Lexus and Mercedes. She kept me well informed about ordering my parts, when they would be delivered, the time my car will be finished, up to the tow to the Lexus dealer for the alignment, and when my car would be finished with the detail for pick up.They had enterprise pick me up and take me for a rental car. Ms. Julia Jimenez at AW Collision was very conscientious, careful and thorough in getting my car repaired. There were challenges all along the repair process for my case due to differences in communication styles and behaviors of my insurance adjuster. We had many frustrating days of no progress on my vehicle repair, which was very upsetting for me. Even in this difficult situation, Julia remained consistent and powered through the difficulty to have my vehicle repaired and delivered to me as early as it was realistically possible. The frustration was compounded because Santa Monica Honda liaison, Mr. Joel Mendoza, happened to be on paternity leave with a newborn (huge congratulations to him for the new baby!). But coincidentally, he returned to work on the day my vehicle was delivered. He waited for the delivery although it was past his work hours. His presence and assistance did make smooth picking up my car and closing out my bill. So despite a month of very trying experience in getting my car repaired (due to communication challenges described above), Ms. Julia Jimenez and Mr. Joel Mendoza stood by solid to make sure the process concluded well. As I now reflect on my experience with AW Collision, I can only say that am happy that I had my car repaired by AW Collision. They did a great job! I came in because this shop is very close to where I live and because of the great Yelp reviews. I was rear-ended and my bumper needed to be fixed. This was last December, before NYE. I don't remember the name of the man who saw my car, but he told me I would have to leave my car at the shop 7-10 working days. I've had cars repaired before and this seemed too long, so I told him so. He then said it would take 5-7 working days. The explanation I was given as to why it would take this long was not that they were busy, but a long-winded explanation that had to do with calling the insurance company, ordering the new bumper, etc., etc. I went to Desesa Autocraft, where my car has been repaired before, and didn't mention anything about the time estimate I was given at AW. I dropped my car off Tuesday the 14th in the afternoon, and Roger Desesa had my car ready and looking like nothing ever happened by Friday the 17th. Even though I can't speak for the quality of AW's work, I can't help but suspect that I was not treated with honesty because I'm a woman. read more

Luis Lamoreaux and the team at AW Collision are amazing! They made an otherwise horrible experience easy to deal with. I was the victim of a hit and run and while my insurance company is great, they let me know that I did not have coverage for a rental car in the case of an uninsured driver. So even though we found the car that hit us, the driver did not have insurance and we were out of luck with a rental. I was shocked to find out this way but lesson learned. Luis at AW Collision was so understanding and tried to help me out in every way possible. He assured me that they could order the parts ahead of time and call me when they were in so that I was not out of a car for too long. He worked swiftly with my insurance company to make sure everything was handled thoroughly and he explained the process every step of the way so that there were no surprises. He even got me my car back on time which was earlier than I expected and on my birthday! I could not have asked for a better service experience in a bad situation. I called Woodland Hills Lexus to see which body shop I should take my ES-350 to. My wife managed to scrape the bottom of the rear bumper cover up, among other things. I talked to Mike at the dealership and he directed me to AW Collision. I took the car there and showed it to Davit Davtyan. He was the estimator there. Rather than have me spend a bundle on a new bumper cover or get it refinished, since the damage was minor, he found some matching paint in the shop and retouched it by hand. Can't tell. Now, he didn't have to do that. It shows the professionalism of the shop. I have two Lexus vehicles and AW will get the business when I don't have "minor" damage. read more

I was unfortunate enough to have a rockslide fall on to my Mercedes one drizzling morning in the beginning of June. The rocks did almost $22,000.00 worth of damage, which took about a month and a half to fix. This was unfortunate but I was assigned by my insurance company to a collision and repair shop named AW Collision in Tarzana. What a blessing!!! The man in charge of my case was Davit, and he helped me every step of the way, checking in every week, explaining things I didn't understand, and even helped me with my rental car when my insurance company decided to end my coverage (leaving me carless). He was always there when I called and answered all my questions, even when they (my questions) were repetitive and annoying. The women that worked in the front office were cheerful and polite. I was always offered a cold water since it was the heat of the summer in the valley, and I had a plethora of magazines to thumb through and comfortable couches to sit on while I waited for my car, which was not long. I would recommend this repair shop to anyone who has had trouble with their car! I'm now driving around in a car that looks better than when I drove it off the lot! 5 stars all around read more
