I needed someone to remove an old kitchen faucet and install a new one. I described my situation, uploaded several pictures, and requested a quote through Yelp's messaging. I felt that it was enough information for a business to determine how much it would likely cost to complete the job. Several businesses contacted me within 30 minutes. Joseph was the first to reach out to me, and the only one that gave me a price. He also had positive reviews from past customers, so I decided to go with him. He messaged me with a time range (2 to 4 pm) when he can be at my place, and he agreed to call me if he was running late. Joseph arrived on time at my apartment a little after 3 pm. He was friendly and professional. Because the old faucet had a rusty nut, he had to use a cutting equipment to remove it. He cleaned the surface of the sink before installing the new faucet. He noticed the sink was loose, and that water can seep through the gap to the cabinet below. Joseph suggested that he place caulk around the sink to prevent any leaks. I agreed that it is a good idea, and offered to pay a little extra to get it done. The whole job took about 25 minutes to complete. He only charged me $10 more for caulking the sink, which is a reasonable price. I have to wait 24 hours for the caulk to set before I can test out the faucet, but I'm sure that he did a fine job. Fair pricing for a garbage disposal replacement. Professional communication. Punctual.

It was supposedly a check and repair call on a leak at my condenser. Long story short, I was convinced to get a replacement. AWC installed a new condenser (October 2023) for $4,000. They did the job and the condenser was installed. It was all working fine until last week (June 2024). The pipe going to the condenser started getting frozen. The line was iced and had to call them to check. Upon coming last week, they told me that the issue is not really part of what they did. They came back with now a recommendation to replace the evaporator coil for another $3,800. I get the "sales" part of getting the condenser replaced since it was old. But I would have expected and appreciated that they tell the customer that I should have also replaced the evaporator coil. They "told" me that they informed me about this but I don't recall any. If they would've told me that the evaporator coil is "incompatible", why would I say no to it. Any customer will definitely appreciate if this was explained well. Anyway, I got another company came in with a much more competitive price and at least explained it really well that the issue is that the newly installed condenser was "not compatible" with my evaporator coil and should have been replaced at the time AWC installed the condenser. Lesson learned for me, I should've researched more on this and not trust right away. Just be aware fellow yelpers and do your due diligence. read more

I have told everyone that my system was not broken, but because I got input from someone important in my life how to prevent HVAC problem in the summer, I needed to replace the capacitor and adding hard start kit. Apparently, only two of the companies understood this. Also, I already knew how much that I would be willing to pay for a service that I could do by myself from Youtube. One of the company even told me if I did it myself it will void the warranty. Lol, anyway... it only happens if I messed up or if the installer messed up, both will not be covered by warranty. OMG! I love Joe and his guys! My husband and I had went through various a/c installers and finally found Joe through another website. He made the process smooth, easy, and fast and I am so thankful for our new central air that they just installed. Also, our central air came with a mini split system so it's more energy efficient, but with ducting and it's very silent. We didn't have a spacious attic, but they managed to squeeze themselves in and still made the magic happen just in time for the summer heat. Btw, not only does Joe have great prices, he really did care for our place and came after hours when he thought rain was expected to pour down on us and quickly went on our roof and patched it to save us from a huge potential mess. One of our Mini split indoor units was spewing out water, so after using Yelp to get a few quotes, AWC was one of the very few to respond and offer to come out on a Monday late afternoon/early evening. They came about 5:30pm and they determined that the drain line was completely clogged due to the dirt/dust/lint/grime.
