Just a quick blast for now to let ya know my awesome nail tech Nessie is here now! The place is called Awesome Nails! It's in Henderson on Gibson. Easy to find and park. It's in the strip mall right next door to Roberto's Taco and Village Pub. Walked in here, reception front desk was welcoming! Staff was friendly too! The pedi and nail stations were recently renovated here. I needed a polish change again. I tried making appointment but found out she was no longer at Nails with Love. Thank goodness my detective work I was able to connect & found where she was at! (we're IG friends :)... My appointment with Nessie started right on time! I was happy also that Awesome Nails prices weren't a sticker shock. Thank goodness! Looking forward to coming here from now on and throwing my crazy nail designs at Nessie again! read more

My student Hailey recommended this place to me and I'm glad she did! The establishment is clean and the techs are nice. Lena and Long are great and I love how they remember their clients. They have always been able to take me in without an appointment but obviously try to make an appointment so you don't have to wait. Overall this has been my go to nail place for the last few months. Started with a pedicure first. My technician was nice and helped me pick a nude sparkle for a wedding. I got the basic pedicure for $40. She massaged a little and put a hot towel on my legs, but no cuticle removal. Just cut my nails, filed, and then painted. I started my nails like 15 minutes later after I finished because they were busy. But after glueing on the acrylic nails my nail technician said he would be right back. I sat there for 20 minutes looking around until another technician informed me he went to pickup kids? She put the gel powder on quickly and filed them. He finally came back and finished, but again no cuticle removal on my nails either. Just a file. After all the waiting and rushed work I was shocked to hear my nails were $70. I knew the pedicure was $40, but $70 for my basic nails and no cuticle removal. read more

Awesome Nail & Spa is one of the best places I've ever been to get my nails done. I just recently started going and every time I go I'm greeted and treated with such wonderful service. When I walked in, she told me it was gonna be 30 for a basic manicure. Then when I went to go check out, it was 40 and I had no extras. The last time I went there was four months ago and I paid 30 for a petty and my heels were so rough because they didn't buff them very well. They did not remove or they did not recommend a Callas remover because my feet aren't like that you know what I mean so I'm a little bit irritated, but it's all good peace, love, and happiness. read more

I've been going here exclusively for quite a few months for everything from full sets, fills and pedicures. For the most part they have been great and recreating anything I ask them for. The service time is reasonable and they do a good job. My only negative is I do think all services are overpriced by at least $10-15. read more

Well, my first experience was absolutely great. The pedicure was one of the best I've EVER had. My feet were soft for weeks, the hot stones were heavenly and the massage was relaxing. My manicure was beautiful too! I received countless compliments so I thought wow I should go back! Unfortunately the second time I went my gel pedicure chipped in two days?? I ignored it but what I could not ignore is the fact that on the second visit I received a fill on work they did... this week 6 nails fell off in two days and there appears to be nail fungus... :( I had gorgeous nails but they look brittle, weak, broken... i should have gotten a fill on my next visit but now I'll need to treat this and do an entirely new set elsewhere :( read more

The actual customer service was good. Shop was clean. I had my nails done here prior and they came out really good. My tech this time was super nice, don't get me wrong. I didn't have much time so I quickly looked them over after they were done and they looked fine. After further examination, it just wasn't as clean as it should've been. Top edges of nails should have been painted, but were messy. Also had paint all over my fingers. Pictures were immediately after. Paid $60 plus tip for a fill and french tip which is understandable, but for this quality? A huge no. read more

They all wear gloves which makes the massage part less relaxing and I think my daughter may have not gotten the "extra massage". They have a stamp to save money but they don't give you a stamp unless you pay cash. They give one stamp for every $40 in cash. Next time I think I may just try the classic and not the all in one.

My only comment is that these days no matter what nail salon you go to, they all charge about the same rates. But the service they provide is a lot less than they used to provide. Meaning that they would do the callus removal as part of a basic pedicure. Now everything is a la carte and they add all these things on to the charges. That being said, this was my first time at this nail salon. I was greeted by a gentleman that I think is either the owner or the manager who was very nice. He checked me in and showed me these books of different colors that I could choose for my pedicure. I did have an appointment already scheduled. Don was my nail technician and he did a great job. He was very thorough and did a great job with the foot massage. He didn't speak much but that's okay. He did a great job of what he was supposed to do and trimmed and polished my toenails and I would go back to see him again. The space is very chill and welcoming and they have three or four TVs going at the same time with no volume on, and they have music playing in the background that's not too loud, rather very laid-back music. I saw some customers getting bottled water out of a fridge but I don't know if that's offered to everyone or just certain clients. It also looks like they have some kind of membership where you get discounts and I'm not sure about that either. I did not ask about that. On May 21st, I came in for a full set and a pedicure before leaving for a trip. During my appointment, I noticed the shape of my nails looked uneven and mentioned it several times. I was told they looked fine, despite the fact that each nail appeared to be a different shape and size. I also requested regular polish on my toes but gel polish was started instead. When I pointed out my concerns again, I was told only one nail was an issue and that there wasn't enough time to fix the rest. I decided to leave and move on, but the very next day my pinky nail snapped in half while I was simply cooking and opening a cabinet. Because I was leaving town that day, I returned right when the salon opened. I was initially told to come back the next day, which wasn't possible, and then was asked to return an hour later. When I came back, the broken nail was repaired, but it was noticeably thicker than the others. I also pointed out again that several nails were uneven and that one thumb wasn't fully painted. I was told the manager was on vacation, but that when I returned from my trip the set would be redone at no cost since the issues were the salon's mistake. After returning from vacation, I called to schedule the promised correction. Unfortunately, I was met with a rude response, was told there was nothing they could do, and that I should have had the nails fixed before leaving--even though I had already attempted to do exactly that and had been assured they would be redone when I returned. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What disappointed me most was not the initial service, but the lack of consistency, accountability, and customer service after I repeatedly tried to address the issues. I truly wanted to give the salon the opportunity to make things right, but unfortunately that never happened.

I have been coming to this nail spa for a while now and have been meaning to write them a review for some time. I normally only go in for a gel pedicure but yesterday I decided to get a manicure done as well. Nina did such a great job and was surprised that she got it done so quick. Pedicures are always great there. But the thing the really keeps me coming back is their cleanliness and great customer service. They never use the same tools on you and towels are always fresh. And they offer you a beverage! Which is something I have never experienced before. You can tell that they really care about their customers. However, when she is on vacation, I visit this cute nail salon and make my appt with Tina who was a former coworker at Nice Nails for several years.
