Amazing!!! I went here with my boyfriend on our trip and we were blown away! I got the pick me roll and he got the shrimp tempura roll, they were good sized rolls! I was full from one with the gyoza (which was yummy, the sauce that came with it was a tad spicy but in a good way) we also got the barracuda sashimi and it was ok, (it wasn't my favorite flavor because it had ginger on top, but if you like ginger I bet you might like it!) Highly recommend!

Satoshi sushi is the best lowkey sushi spot ever and I am willing to die on this hill. You can tell the chefs LOVE their job.

When it comes to sushi, I'm very picky and prefer all you can eat, but in this case it looked really good on Instagram, so I had to try it out. What did you order? I was okay with ordering 2-3 rolls. I got Hell Yeah, Triple Tuna, and forgot the third one was called but they were all so good! Food came out super fast. It was a Sunday too. Plenty of parking! The place is small and cute :) I'm excited to comeback next time to try more sushi For drinks they have beer, hot & cold sake. Food was 10/10 for me :)!

Favorite Non-AYCE Sushi Spot. Sat at the sushi bar tonight, where the chefs behind the bar were real welcoming. First time this place has ever been crowded, which is well deserved on their side. Ordered the Hotate scallop nigiri, spicy garlic edamame, shishito peppers, yummy tummy roll, and fountain valley roll. All so fresh and so good. Quality fish and rolls, with welcoming vibes, so really can't go wrong here.

We came around 1 pm on a Tuesday and were immediately sat. The shop is relatively small and quaint, but has a very nice Japanese atmosphere that feels authentic. We ordered the Spicy Garlic Edamame, Salmon Sashimi, Salmon Avocado Roll, and the Dragon Roll. All these items came out very fast (only a couple minutes after ordering.) Spicy Garlic Edamame (3/5): Not bad, but not as good as other places I've had. The flavor could be more garlicky and savory but the edamame was cooked well. I like that it came with bonito flakes and the portion was very plentiful I would say. Salmon Avocado Roll (5/5): Very good! The fish was buttery and not fishy at all. Rice to fish ratio was well portioned and rice was cooked well (not gummy, still has a firm texture yet soft, and well seasoned). Also this basic roll was only $9 which I found to be very affordable. Classic but still delicious. Salmon Sashimi (5/5): Yall, this salmon sashimi was insanely good. While it was cut very thick (way thicker than I've seen in other sushi places, like almost 2 inches thick), the salmon was so buttery, soft, and melt in your mouth. Not fishy at all. I'm not someone that typically goes for sashimi, I prefer nigiri, but this was sooo good. Must try! It doesn't come with a sauce or anything, but the texture and quality is enough to be the star of the show. I didn't try the dragon roll but my friend said the eel was delicious. We were very satisfied with our meal here and the service was fast and friendly. Our 4 items came out to be around $50 which is not bad. We definitely would come back here again!

    Caterpillar roll

Ordered delivery and the food came quickly and was packed well - they double wrapped the miso soup to prevent spills. The miso soup was tasty and they didn't skimp on the tofu and wakame. I liked the flavor of the caterpillar roll, but it was a little too saucy on the bottom so the rice was a bit soggier than I prefer. I would be down to try more of their menu.

Very solid sushi experience with amazing service and fresh fish. I eat sushi everywhere and Satoshi is better than most. Had a large group here and the staff could not be more friendly and efficient. The chef's are fast and food comes out quickly. Nice variety of fish beyond the typical standards and good pricing. All of the whitefish were outstanding. You will not be disappointed.

Satoshi Special Roll Triple Tuna Roll

We've been coming to this sushi spot for a while now, and it's always buzzing. The sushi bar is small but constantly packed, with a steady flow of dine-in guests and DoorDash pickups--clear proof of how popular it is. Despite how busy they are, the quality never disappoints. Two of our favorite rolls are the Satoshi Special Roll and the Triple Tuna Roll, both consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. They also offer a large roll menu not shown here, with plenty of options to choose from. This is one sushi bar that's not going anywhere--portions are generous, and we always leave feeling completely full, not hungry an hour later. The staff truly makes the experience special. The servers are attentive and incredibly helpful, the sushi chefs are kind, and everyone is welcoming and inviting from the moment you walk in.

    Chirashi Bowl -- not recommended!
    Daisy D.

Oh man..I really wanted to like this place since the staff were all very friendly, but I can't in good conscience recommend the fish here. Our favorite sushi spot to get chirashi in the area was unexpectedly closed, so my husband and I decided to try this place for dinner after seeing how many great reviews it had. We ordered the fried calamari, 8 nigiri, and 1 chirashi bowl. The calamari was honestly depressing to look at. I was expecting chopped pieces of whole calamari fried in a light and crispy batter with some salt and lemon. But instead I got bland doughy overcooked squid rings sprinkled with raw green onion and spicy mayo. It was really giving pre-made and pre-frozen. My husband didn't like his nigiri at all. The ootoro was the biggest disappointment especially because it cost $25 for two pieces. As for my chirashi bowl, I was barely able to stomach it. The albacore was probably the worst of the toppings. If you look at the picture below you can see how mushy it was just by all the loose fibers hanging from where it was cut. The "sweet shrimp" was just an overcooked shrimp. The rice overall was a little overcooked but not terrible. For all of the food we ordered, our bill came out to be $98. I almost shed a tear knowing we could've had an amazing sushi dinner with excellent quality seafood for the same price at our other favorite spots nearby. To summarize, if you're looking for authentic sushi I would steer clear of this place. If you like the specialty rolls, then it's probably fine since all the sauce/toppings masks the quality of the fish.

Mixed Tempura (3 Shrimps 4 Veggies) Chirashi Bowl

Satoshi Sushi is a small Japanese restaurant in Fountain Valley. This spot sits in a very quiet plaza, and I did not have many expectations walking in. However, the service was friendly and quick, and the interior was very small, but felt homey. The food itself actually ended up being very good! I really liked the tempura as it was very crispy and flavorful. The Chirashi Bowl was actually pretty solid as well, although I wish they gave more fish. Overall, Satoshi Sushi is a very solid Japanese restaurant in Fountain Valley. Definitely come and try it out!

I came alone for dinner and was sat immediately at the bar. Staff were quick and attentive as there were at least 3 servers running the place. Small tables inside, plenty of bar seating and outside seating facing the parking lot as well. I ordered the crazy salmon roll and asked for the salmon on top to not be seared. The roll was delicious and very flavorful with the different sauces it came with. Fish was fresh as well, that must be why the nigiri is quite expensive. When I asked for the check the chef in-front of me handed me a pack of chocolate pocky. The chef was very kind and checked up on me while I was eating! I paid with cash and my change should've included 57 cents in coins, but I only received the bills back. I was going to leave the coins as part of the tip anyway so I didn't say anything but I was confused because the server didn't mention anything to me... not sure if they were out of coins but it would've been nice to know that instead of not getting it back at all.

    Dry chicken with no flavor.
    Jackie B.

Ordered four chicken teriyaki bowls. They were so dry no one ate them! $50 straight into the trash. Teriyaki sauce was the consistency of water. My suggestion to you is don't go!

Salmon hand roll, Scallop Avocado Roll, Sashimi Salad
    Fawn R.

So good! We eat here a few times a month, the salmon is my favorite! It's always fresh and it's not super expensive. I like to get more simple rolls and the eel roll is really good. I notice that they put some sort of sweet umami soy sauce on some of the maki and cut rolls, it's very good. Don't forget to order the fresh wasabi! Service is always good and they are always busy. Be prepared to be squished inside like other tiny sushi spots.

I called a day before to request that we be seated at the bar and the hostess was super friendly and communicative. When we arrived the restaurant was very bright and well decorated. Despite being a nicer restaurant it didn't feel stuffy, so it felt like we could really enjoy ourselves without needing to be hoity-toity. The sushi chef was very personable and every bite I had was delicious. He asks you ahead of time if you like wasabi, which I do so I loved everyrhing. The quality and texture of the fish is incomparable to anything I can get at "regular" sushi restaurants. The carpaccio to start off with was bright with yuzu flavor and the chawanmushi was so creamy. My only complain is that I wish there were more of the dishes as I left still hungry, but that may have been in part due to me having not eaten breakfast. I loved this omakase experience and would definitely return for a special occasion!

Good atmosphere, good service, great food! Came here on a Thursday 6:30PM and our server Kristin was great and attentive. We ordered appetizers: (1) pork belly skewer + (1) sausage skewer. Kinda steep price for 1 skewer but each were very well cooked and flavored. The drinks were super yummy. We ordered the Guava Calpico & the Lychee Margarita. The lychee was lined with Li Hung Mui which was delish! Guava was refreshing and milky. Food: Chasu Tom Kha Ramen: a little spicy but the broth had amazing flavor, chasu was tender & filling. Unfortunately, the filet mignon yakitori was tough (we couldn't chew through it & had to spit it out ) and overcooked. Our server was quick to offer a replacement and unfortunately the 2nd time was still a bust, which at that point seemed more like an issue with the meat they had rather than the cooking itself, so not much they couldve done. Thankfully, the manager (i believe, he was dressed differently than the servers) was kind enough to take it off our bill. Our server also offered a dessert on the house to make up for our experience! We got the black sesame coconut ice cream with sago and it was sooooo good. Of all the noodle dishes, my favorite was the chashu tom kha ramen. holy moly, the flavors were incredible. And for $17?!
