I was traveling on Wollaston beach headed towards Adams Shore when a flat bed tow truck operated by Ayers nearly ran me off the road. I phoned the office and was greeted with expletives about my mother. Really? This company represents the worst kind of whiskey tango there is. I received a call from a "no caller ID only to be taunted again. These guys have a cozy relationship with law enforcement and believe they can get away with this kind of dangerous insulting behavior. When I lived in Quincy Ayers was a respectable business. So much for illiterate generations inheriting perfectly good businesses. They can call me any time they have my number. Ayers Collision in Quincy is the worst place I have been to in years. No one would actually be dumb enough to get their car serviced here. I am calling out anyone who posted otherwise as a moron or more likely someone who works for Ayers. The driveway is half flooded, and is filled with potholes, I would post the photos I took, if I could. The parking lot where you car is kept, looks like a bomb went off blowing pieces of car, plastic, trash, metal, glass all over the place. Never mind, it looks like they never paved the place or bothered to flatten the ground / remove the canyons everywhere. To top that off the people who work there look like they are total creeps, and will attempt to intimidate you if you want pay for whatever they decide to charge you. This place is a total scam, they should be shut down. I have no idea why anyone would bring their car to this place. The service is terrible, the business ethics are sleazy, the workers are either overweight and lazy or look like they should be in prison or rehab or both. read more

I had a super seamless experience getting my bumper replaced here. They worked with my insurance company and made the experience very easy and convenient for me in getting it fixed. The bumper's paint is a perfect match and it is still standing strong! I was so pleased with the work that they did that I brought my Jeep in for a detail. The first time I got it done the person who was in charge of doing it (and is no longer there btw) took a long time and didn't finish as I would have liked. However, in response to my dissatisfaction, one of the owners reached out to me and offered a free detail at my convenience! I just had it redone this week and my Jeep looks amazing--everything is completely on point! Sorry to say this is my forth time going to Ayers. But they do such a great job every time. My 2010 Honda civic was hit on the drivers side, car was almost totaled. Ayers brought my car back to looking new inside and out, the car was detailed inside. they are the friendliest people you could meet.They helped out as much as they could with a rental. I have taken numerous vehicles to Ayers Collision Center following accidents ranging from minor collisions to undercarriage damage caused by a large rock on the highway, to even a now-deceased rogue turkey. With all of these incidents, Ayers came through in spades, giving expert and thorough appraisals for repair, relevant and thoughtful suggestions as to how I could proceed, and consistently sage advice during times of uncertainty. During my most recent collision experience, I briefly considered consulting with another collision center that had been highly recommended to me, but in the end I decided to stick with Ayers because their past work, their upbeat attitude and honestly their close physical proximity to my home suggested no good reason to look elsewhere. I have worked closely with Chuck and Dan, and both are exceptional. But it appears the rest of the staff are highly professional and knowledgeable as well. In summary, I would grade their services in the A range, and possibly an A+. They are perfectionists, and their time estimates for repairs are reliable and well-reasoned. I had an awesome experience with this company's towing service. The operator's name was Drew, and he really knew what he was doing. Not only did he expertly load my van onto his flatbed, but placed it down within 2 inches of the curb in a very tight place where my mechanic wanted it. If that wasn't enough, he gave me a ride where I was going *and* helped me with the electronics I was carrying in my van when it broke down. He provided service above and beyond the call of duty on top of being a man of great character. With this kind of service, it gives me confidence that the world is headed in the right direction. This company actively engages in predatory towing practices. I was parked in a loading area outside my apartment, and carried a box inside. When I came back, my car was gone. The car was unattended for literally 5 minutes. The tow driver had been casing the building and waiting for a victim to extort. Towing company/contact info was posted nowhere, and the police had no record of the tow. A passing resident informed me of the towing company name, which she knew because the same thing had happened to her 2 weeks prior. After extorting $140 from me to get the car back ("cash only!"), the tow truck followed me right back home to start casing the lot again, waiting for his next victim. I don't know how I'm going to carry groceries inside with these vultures waiting to ruin people's night for their own petty gain. Really disgusting, guys. There are better ways to make a living. read more

My car accident, as minor as it was, is a PRIME example of why old people need their licenses revoked! I took my car to Ayers and all I had to do was file my initial insurance claim, they took care of all the rest. They even have a relationship with Enterprise Rent A Car and will call them up to reserve a car for you. It took them about 4 days to replace my front bumper. Amazing service. I had a horrible hit and run on the rear side fender that required cutting, painting, and welding. In the end I could not even find the weld and it looks brand new. A good portion of my front end was smashed up and made my car pretty undriveable...and even through all of the struggles of dealing with my insurance company ayers made everything better. they were able to get my insurance company to pay for a lot more than what they were offering thank god! the day i finally got my car back it looked as if it were brand new fresh off the lot again! i don't notice any difference in the way my car drives, it's almost as if nothing ever happened! also, the detailing job they did was phenomenal! not to mention they picked up my car for me right from outside of my house. since i'm new to this area i was nervous about ringing my car to just any collision shop and i'm glad i was referred to ayers! definitely one of the best around with top notch service, i recommend this place over any other if you need your car fixed! read more

I took my car for detailing Monday October 10/2011...returned the car to me in the evening. Windows were filthy, handprints all over the dashboard, engine not cleaned, trunk not cleaned. and they broke my spare car alarm lock!!!!!! They took my car again the next evening...still did not clean the trunk. They had no promblem charging my credit card before I saw what they did...they are WORST customer service...very rude!!!! NASTY WORK. DO NOT take your car there for detailing....they take your money and return your vehicle back in terrible condition...thank god for me it's not a question of money...but for someone else to pay their hard earned money for service not completed ...it's a crime!!! Just had my Lexus repaired at Ayers after a minor run in with a "stationary object" as my insurance company has classified it. Ayers did a great job restoring it to like new condition. The pearl finish paint on the lexus is tricky to match but they did a great job. It was clean as whistle inside and out when I picked it up. Too bad the snow came and ruined my clean car. I've been here before and the flooding/pot holes that are noted in other reviews are the city's problem. The access road is the same one used by the city for the school bus depot. Not sure why it was't addressed when they built the senior center but it is not Ayers problem. read more

Ayers came up when looking for a collision center and they are absolutely amazing. They were in constant contact with me and my mom. They had a rent-a-car waiting to make this as east as possible. Stay as Far way as possible, biggest SCAM IN QUINCY. Had a minor accident, Ayers showed up to tow my Car (I never called them, Nice deal with the Quincy PD), I already had a flat bed on the way and was not obstructing traffic but was told I needed to move it now. Ayes driver told me it would be $131, guess what I called the next morning and that amount had ballooned up to $224. Lets break it down.... $90 tow fee... 68 gate fee....(offered to waive it if I left my truck there and have them fix it) $25 special equipment (bullshit charge) yeah like I would actually trust them with my car..... $6 gas the accident was about a quarter mile away from the Ayes Yard.... $35 storage..... Like I said the driver had said it would be $131 yeah he lied what a surprise.... I told him had I known I would have had it towed to my house that was less than half a mile away, he proceeded to tell me he was no mind reader, I told him he never gave me a chance to tell him. I came out to a guy seconds away from trying to tow my car, calling in my plate to someone and when I asked, "Is there a problem?", he said, "Nevermind" to the guy on the phone, hung up, and jumped in the tow truck and left without a word to me (but with a black Honda on the bed). We've been taking our cars to Ayers Collision for over 15 years. Probably half a dozen times. The car always comes back better than before the accident. The panels are blended flawlessly. Dan who handles insurance claims will help you out dealing with the insurance company and even talk with the people who hit you! That saves me time and headache. Also I wanted to point out that once my parent's car was automatically towed to Quirk Auto Body in Quincy-they didn't stop it. The paint job wasn't as good[I could see what is called orange peel effect in the paint -not smooth] and they were paid to replace a side marker light assembly which I found they did not. Quirk auto body used the old light or a used part which did not work. I went back and Quirk Auto Body didn't fix it. Oh and the Quirk paintjob was covered over by Ayers recently -yep another accident not our fault. Guess what? No orange peel paint job and it blended flawlessly. My father says it looks like a new car -it's 10 years old! So, to me those things prove Ayers is better. I don't believe it gets better than Ayers Collision. If I thought it could be better somewhere else I'd change in a heartbeat. ============== ============== Somewhat unrelated but responding to another review... As for Dean F. who gave a one star review and complained that Ayers roadway to the building is potholed...well it's in a Marsh area that floods so the salt ruins the asphalt. The actual building does not flood just the roadway to it. I'm sure they'd like it not to be in a marsh area but you know it's a convenient location, they're not making more real estate and the marsh floods more with Global Warming. Dean, did you pay them to fix your car or the road? I'd rather have an awesome blended in paint job and body work than worry about the roadway to a bodyshop-which is MOST of what you complained about. But then you went on to criticize the bodies of the workers etc? Give me a break. Did your CAR turn out ok or not?
