Compared to the MVD on Mesa dr. this one is better. Sure it's crazy busy, but what MVD isn't? I brought a client here who had to use a walker to walk with. We stood in this line of 25+ people just to check in. After about 30 seconds a woman came to us and said she would take us immediately at her window. We came here to get a handicapped tag for their car. There was a problem with the paperwork not being properly filled out. The woman was polite and helpful assisting my client with the necessary corrections. The whole process took about 5 minutes and we had the tag. I was impressed that they show preference to people with disabilities. read more

OK Why you ask 5 Stars?? Only one reason. The Driver Examiner that tested my daughter today on 10 July. He was an older gentleman that mentioned to my daughter that he worked the Mesa Dr. branch for 15 yrs. My daughter already was so nervous about her test due to the fact she was rejected so quickly by the examiner at the mesa dr branch after trying to perform the 3pt turn which on Utube is nothing like a 3pt turn, more like a drive backward for a block backing into a narrow parking space then driving it fwd facing the opposite direction wtf? Anyway, this guy was awesome! A true professional and a instructor. He calmed and encouraged my daughter all the way thru the maneuver and she passed! I'm sure the DMV gets all kinds of valid complaints but when a dude kicks ass at his job then he should get the praise too. Dude who ever you are, I drink a toast to you! read more

During 90% of my visits, I've been in and out under 20 minutes! I know what you're thinking - you think of the MVD/DMV and you think long lines, long waits, and unfriendly staff. But not here! The receptionists are very nice and truly helpful. They've answered a plethora of my questions and this is my favorite DMV/MVD I go to! I've gotten my Az ID, driver's license, and car registration here and usually in and out very fast! Maybe I'm just lucky, or maybe it's because I go during school hours. After coming back for the third time because they wouldn't give out a new DL despite bringing everything we were told to bring previously, we were met by the most bitter little troll I've ever encountered "Tiffany". They were rude, condescending, and most likely deaf. Every question I asked was met with an answer completely unrelated, "why were we told to bring a birth certificate by the last employee but now you're claiming we need a drivers license and social?" To which this moron replied "Noooooo You can only get a state ID". Instances like this happened three times where I would ask a normal question and I would be met with a snarl and sass without informing me of anything. I believe tiffany was born and bred in the back locker rooms of the DMV and is only let out to torture tax payers with her disgusting attitude and presence. They are so complacent and have zero idea how the real world works. If you can make it out there, get a government job. I was waiting for 3 hours, let it be known I this was my third day trying because the other 2 seemed too busy. They are all the same. Crowded, full of grumpy ass workers who get over paid for what they do. This isn't my first review on yelp and understand things don't always go as planned. But this place is such a joke. A town of 7 million people and only 2 places to get anything completed if you have a CDL. Such a joke, but they are the government and can go as slow or act as dumb as they want. This place is HORRIBLE! The staff is rude, acts like they hate their jobs and life. When you talk to them they just stare at you like you're stupid. They won't do my sons drivers test because they said "they have already filled up driving tests for the day." We're told to fill out paperwork and wait for the next window. How good can the DMV really be? They are helpful when asked but also understandably rushed. Seemed to be some confusion on policies regarding people who west glasses. One lady said if you don't have glasses on in your photo you can be ticketed. Really?!?!? Another said that's not true. One said my husband needed to do their eye check and sent him back to the front for it and the lady at the front said not needed. It was a little weird. This is the best Mvd I've ever been to in my life.I was in and out past 2 times within 20 minutes!this is just unheard of!2 years ago I used to go to Chandler location..spending at least 2 -3 hours on each visit...Long story short,whoever is running this location (baseline/greenfield)is doing a great job:service is professional and very fast(they had about 20 windows open),even employees are trying to be friendly. And don't forget ,you can fill most of forms online now and even make an appointment and show up at your appointment time with no wait at all!i am not going to any other locations for sure! read more

Compared to other states MVD is very well organized, When you enter they direct you in which line to go based on your needs. It will not be fast but far quicker than the other state I lived in. I can't praise Dina enough for her services. She was a pleasure to deal with when we got the kids ID cards. Happy, friendly, helpful......a breath of fresh air. If you have a child that does better with verbal tests, maybe has test anxiety. Schedule a verbal learners permit test and with Dina. She kept him calm and laughing throughout his test. Came here to have HAZMAT certification removed from my CDL. First tried on a Friday at 9:00am. By 2:00pm there were still 20 people ahead of me. Had to leave. Came again on Monday, got my number at 10:28am. Didn't call me up until 1:55pm. Once I was called it took less than a minute for them to do what I came for. The people working the desk were friendly and helpful, can't fault them for anything. It's just a terrible, terrible system. People coming in just to drop off paperwork have to wait in line behind dozens of people taking drivers tests. Arizona needs to authorize third party DMV to handle all motor vehicle transactions. Made appointment and came all prepared with all documents needed. As soon as I walk in the entrance it was chaos. I was told to go stand in line but I had made an appointment and was then told to go to another location, I get there to kiosk then was instructed to go get picture taken, my son was getting his permit and was treated so rudely by women taken photo ID. She spoke to him in such a manner that I couldn't believe my eyes and ears, my son was having trouble signing his signature, she said your son can't write cursive! Of course now he's nervous and humiliated. I then needed to hand her a paper for my own ID, I'm totally flustered, upset about how she spoke to my son and her unprofessional demeaning instructions to me. She acted as if we should just know what we were doing and her condescending attitude literally had me shaking from disbelief and anger, as she proceeded to take a picture knowing how visibly upset I was, I forced a smile, got up walked away, I then lost it. Never in my life have I been treated so horribly in a public setting. An employee from another office assisted me and my son, she was kind, professional and concerned as to how upset I was...she took care of everything and was able to get us out of there pretty quickly. I am appalled by the women who works the photo ID at the entrance...I walked over to get her name but it was conveniently covered. I've been to this office several times and yes the DMV is a hassle however when properly prepared, with an appointment, it shouldn't be this horrible. If your gonna take a drivers road test go on a Monday but make sure to make an appointment. Because if you don't they won't let you take your test. I have nothing but great things to say about this MVD. They had someone helping as you came in, making sure everyone had the forms and documents they needed so no time was wasted. The gentleman who helped me transfer my DL to an AZ license was super nice. I told him I'd been putting off coming in because I assumed it would be a painfully tedious experience but all and all the place was running like a well oiled machine. read more

It has been some time since I've visited a MVD office. Sharon that helped me at the front was incredibly nice, was pleasant and helpful which is not what you typically experience when dealing with folks at the MVD. Next I was sent to window D-1 where another Sharon was pleasant and helpful again with renewing my Driver License. I never feel rushed and that's one thing I really appreciate. Total time spent in office was about 30 min. The office was surprisingly clean and offered Good customer service. I also noticed other employees didn't have attitudes. Seriously, this location is as good as it gets. The staff is as friendly as you could expect at MVD. They are quick! I mean FAST!! The lines move well here if you go on a Tues, Wed, or Thurs (Mon & Fri are the busiest). You may not like their answers to MVD questions since the bureaucratic monster that is our government is not efficient (or "fair"). However, these ladies and gentlemen seem to do their best.
