Ours was everything we hoped for; a nice big , thick piece of meat, perfectly cooked eggs, a huge helping of thin sliced home fries, delicious gravy and a fluffy biscuit. Delicious! Casey, our server, despite being very busy was attentive, efficient and genuinely friendly. My suggestion is come hungry but be prepared for a short wait. Nick and his wife are Armenian so there is a very good Mediterranean touch to many of their dishes. This is a favorite lunch break spot for my co-workers and I, because the menu is so diverse. You can get Greek, Italian, traditional American, and just plain 'ol breakfast foods all at the same place. How do I know this already? Strangely, they have another location on Reems and Greenway, while this "Diner II" is a 5 minute drive away at Litchfield and Waddell! The staff is so friendly here! It's like being greeted on the show Cheers whenever we come in. They know that I always order Greek chicken kabobs with a side order of the chicken lemon rice soup. If you are ever ill or someone you love is ill, get a bowl of their chicken lemon rice soup, and trust me, you'll feel better! It's seriously must be what the Chicken Soup for the Soul book must be based on (well, aside from the typical "Aw" feel good stories). The gyros are ginormous! I just wish that the feta cheese on the side wasn't extra, because gyros don't seem to be gyros without the cheese! My friend, Kerry M., loves the fact that breakfast is served all day. She's had the biscuits and gravy dish and the hash browns which she said were delicious! I will continue to go to Nicks Diner I and II, because I enjoy their food, their company, and I love to support local restaurants. Went for breakfast after church. We ordered our food. It was brought out cold. Husband asked for decaf coffee. She brought regular coffee. I knew it wouldn't do us any good to complain because she messed up on people's bill across from us charging them for orange juice. Customer tried 2 to 3 times to take it off and finally they stopped her and she gave them $3.00 from her tips so she didn't have to redo the bill. She said she was having trouble multitasking . We are in town for football and found this spot on Yelp. Super excited cause all the reviews were good. I called prior to getting here and asked about the wait for a party of 9 as we were on our way. The hostess said it would be a 30 minute wait and they would have to put tables together. I asked if they can put my name down and she said yes. When we arrived I walked in and said I had called, asked about a large party and gave our name she said oh we don't do reservations. Instead of providing an apology and offering to add us to the list. So at this point I put our name for 9 on the list and was told 30mins. After about 45 mins and watching several parties of 4 or more being seated we went in to see how much longer, again instead of apologizing for the wait they reiterated that we do not take reservations. At this point we're just looking to get seated. We were finally seated and our waitress was Red. I can honestly say that she is the only reason that I did not give a 1 star. We placed an all breakfast order - chicken fried steak, waffles, pancakes, French toast, meat lovers skillet, steak and eggs, potatoes, cheesesteak and fries, and that big ass cinnamon roll. I can say that our food was amazing, it was hot and it came out quick. If we are in town again we will come back and ask for Red. read more

Ordered a Club Salad to go. I've eaten here a couple of time and have had good food. However, today was horrible! Why is it so hard to get a salad with fresh lettuce? Everything in my salad was fresh and tasted good, except the lettuce. I always inspect my lettuce, especially if it's Spring Mix, and upon close inspection most of my lettuce had brown spots on it or was wilted and slimy the way lettuce gets when it's old. (Review is for breakfast shift) This is a middle of the road breakfast stop. It's "OK". Nothing TERRIBLE about it. My sister and I went to breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my sister got the gyro omelette. The eggs benedict were just okay. The gyro omelette was a little bit on the dry side. We both ordered coffee and the waitress never came over to offer refills. We had to flag her down and ask for more. The atmosphere is decent and the service is friendly.
