I brought a tablet in to get fixed and they told me that they would order the parts, which would only take 4-6 days to be delivered, and that they should have it fixed within 1 day. I went back in on the 7th day asking for an update (because I didn't get one). They told me that they weren't sure if the parts came in because they didn't check their deliveries. My style isn't to create problems, so I told them I would be back. I asked them if they were going to contact me when it was done, and they asked me for my information. I told them that they should have had it from when I brought the tablet in? It was very strange to me. They didn't send a receipt through email as promised either. At this point, I started to worry a bit that I was going to get scammed, but I held on to faith that they would do the right thing. My husband went to pick it up weeks later and it was ready. My husband asked why they didn't send us an update that it was done. Their response was "it should have been sent out in an email." That email never came. Did they fix the screen? Yes. It was in great condition. I am glad they came through with that. My only issue is the transparency of their process. If you're not on them, I swear they might keep your item, say it was abandoned, or that they never had it. At least that is how my experience with them came off to me. Oh, and make sure you get a receipt before you leave! I can say that that part was my fault, trusting that it would have came through email. I know better now if there is a next time, anywhere.

I was unable to get Prestige TV to commit to a time or a location. I ended up spending as much time as it would take for me to mount the television myself, trying to get Prestige TV to simply agree to a time and a location. Prestige TV told me that they would do the work between 5pm and 7pm on 5/30/2026. I told Prestige TV to contact me via phone and I would provide my address. Prestige TV never contacted me at all. Not on the app, not on my phone. They stated "Hi! We can be there sometime between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM tomorrow " and then I spent the next day attempting to confirm a time and a location. If they respond to this review, they will likely state that I asked them to confirm via phone, not the app. That is true, and I specifically did that over concerns about cybersecurity. A way that you can protect yourself as a consumer is to get the vendor to contact you via phone. By doing this, you insure that the person you're talking with online is a representative of the company that will be coming to your home. I think it's important to practice OPSEC when inviting Prestige TV into your home to do work. Trust is crucial. It's Saturday May 26th and it looks like I am mounting my own television, because Prestige TV failed to meet their commitments.

I've recommended them, defended them, and even did so in-store less than 24 hours before this went sideways. Then it fell apart. I dropped off my laptop at 2:30 p.m. for what I was told was a simple job: remove a RAID controller, copy data, and install a second SSD. I was promised it was "easy," that data transfer was the only real step, and that I'd have it back by 2 p.m. the next day. I was signed up for text updates--none came. At 5:45 p.m. that same day, I called to check in. I was told the transfer was "60-70% done." Two other people heard that call. The next day was a string of delays, missed calls, and vague updates. By 4:30 p.m.--well past the promised deadline--I finally learned the truth: no data had been transferred, no work had been done, and the laptop hadn't even been turned on. (Alienware logs don't lie.) Then came the real problem: Jonas. Instead of owning the failure, he pivoted to condescension and denial--telling me I "don't understand RAID," insisting no one promised a next-day turnaround, claiming my SSD was defective (it isn't), and denying statements multiple people heard firsthand. In short, the story changed, the facts didn't, and I was treated like the problem. Meanwhile, I can't get anyone to tell me my data was safe; I was panicking as any normal person would. I have backups, scattered across several drives and will take days to recover to 90% of what was on the laptop. I got the laptop back around 5 p.m., untouched until 3:30 that afternoon--hours after I was told work was already mostly complete. How do I know this? Because every powerup, every keystroke is logged by the laptop's security system. See shots below: One can see exactly when it was plugged in. Mistakes happen. I can deal with delays and mistakes. We're all human. What I don't tolerate is being misled, talked down to, and effectively called a liar when there's clear evidence otherwise, indicating precisely who did what and when. Curious isn't it, how some business project their own failings onto others, rather than just honestly owning the problem and making it right? That's how I manage my clients, anyway. Explain the failure, offer a solution, make it right, and everybody stays friendly. I'd never consider insulting a client; it cost a lot to gain them, and it's easily 30X more costly to lose one. Clients share experiences. Here, and elsewhere. And people trust those shares of personal experiences. shared on review sites. As I'll do on every review site I can find after the insults tossed at me. What a shame; my most trusted go-to gone means now finding their replacement.

I'm nearing the end of an extensive project to modify an upstairs room into a proper home theater…read more At every stage of this process--from initial brainstorming to projector screen hanging--I've felt VERY fortunate to be relying on the professionalism, expertise, and integrity of Don, Bill & Carolyn at Image, Sound & Control (IMSOCO). Although I had been using the room as a theater for several years, turning it into a proper theater required some serious effort including removing and relocating one wall; rerouting the A/C system; building a riser; remounting doors; installing and wiring computer-controlled lighting; and of course, permanently installing and organizing the previously tangled network of cabling. I was prepared to spend a few bucks on this because having a permanent, dedicated theater was a lifelong dream; but like most of us, I didn't have unlimited funds. Here was the first sign that IMSOCO was a superior choice. At every decision point, Don & Bill have had one eye on "doing it well and right" and another eye on respecting my budget. This extends from shopping for high quality but cost-effective products (chairs, screen, etc.) to integrating my current audio/video gear into the A/V design. And that respect for budget isn't just lip service. On the few occasions that part of the project took a little longer than expected or didn't go quite as efficiently as Don intended, my bill was voluntarily adjusted (without any request from me!) so that the inconvenience didn't come out of my pocket. That's extraordinary integrity at work. Before any actual construction began, Don meticulously discussed EVERY IMAGINABLE detail of the project and prepared CAD drawings to pin down measurements, features, wire runs, and the like. Further, throughout the project, Don (who is officially the most detail-oriented person I've ever met, and therefore, EXACTLY the guy you want supervising a project like this) thought, rethought, and consulted me on every choice and refinement, including proposing solutions I would NEVER have thought of (and I've been doing home theater as an amateur for nearly four decades, myself.) Key to all of those choices is Bill, a professional musician with decades of audio/video experience. Since I'm a musician myself (and an audiophile old-timer), I appreciate that Bill brings to the project an authority and comfort level that can only be realized with a true meeting of the minds. He knows how high-quality A/V should look and sound, and how to get there whether your budget is unlimited or down-to-earth. Every expense was precisely identified and approved in advance, and the billings from Carolyn were detailed and clear. No hidden charges, no surprises, all up front and in the open. Finally, Don, Bill & Carolyn--and their team of pros who have participated on the project (with their own contributions of expertise and creativity)--made this experience a helluva lot of fun. When the project comes to completion, I'll post a photo of the final results. At this point, I wanted to chime in with an endorsement of IMSOCO for anyone who is considering a new audio and/or video system, or adding automation to their home. You'll enter into a project with Image, Sound & Control with a superior professional relationship, and come out of the project in an authentically friendly relationship--and a MUCH IMPROVED home entertainment/automation setup.
