When Cheron called me at 9:10 I immediately apologized and even offered twice to reschedule if that was easier. Instead she just asked for my ETA in an irritated tone and said she'd see me soon. From the minute I got there the whole appointment felt tense. I asked for a simple trim, some face framing pieces, and something low maintenance since I don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. It didn't feel like a difficult request but I felt like my preferences were an inconvenience. Even the shampoo was so rough it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The haircut itself turned out nice but what really shocked me was the finish. I paid $150 and expected at least a basic styling. Instead, my hair was blow dried with her fingers... no round brush, no comb, no straightener, no curls. Nothing. I genuinely couldn't believe that was the finished result. I'm happy I ended up with a decent haircut but the overall experience felt uncomfortable from start to finish and nowhere near the level of service I expected.

Emma, the general manager, is exceptional. The way she interacts with and supports her team is reflected in the positive attitude and professionalism they show every customer. It's clear she's a strong leader who runs the store with care, efficiency, and high standards. I recently had an issue with an online order that customer service assured me had been resolved, but unfortunately it hadn't. Emma took the time to listen, stepped in to help, and made sure everything was fully resolved before I left the store. She turned what could have been a very frustrating experience into a positive one. ULTA was close to losing me as a customer, but my experience with Emma completely changed that. First, this isn't just a hair cut or a blowout, this feels like a deeply personal experience with someone passionate about her craft, her life, everything. To be in the same room is to be sucked into her obvious joy for everything she does. It's mesmerizing.
