They serve bread and coffee and bottled refreshments. Main item: Focaccia bread with different ingredients on top. They also sell other sweets: brioche, pie, Frittatas and pasta as well as merch. I I tried the Focaccia with no toppings and the pomodori that had cherry tomato and oregano. I must go back and try their pasta. Still good after a day. I even put cheese on top of the plain Focaccia i had left over and it was delish. Not busy in the morning on a weekday. Good for pick up and to go orders. Friendly and quick staff. Metered parking. Outdoor seating only on the side walk under the umbrellas for shade next to the busy main road. You can watch the cars drive by as you enjoy ur Focaccia and latte.

I'm always on the search for great focaccia and Ceci's has that. I ordered the meatball sandwich with added buratta. It was good. It could have had more salt and the bottom was soggy even though I ate it as soon as it arrived. Mom ordered a veggie sandwich, which I enjoyed more. You can really taste the fresh arugula. My neighbor ordered the pesto bean salad and another salad. I really enjoyed the pesto. We also shared the onion focaccia. That was fantastic. We should have ordered more. Parking can be limited depending on the time of day. The young man at the counter was wonderful.

We stopped into Ceci's Gastronomia and tried the Polpette Al Sugo and the Crudo & Ricotta sandwiches; both were delicious, with really good focaccia and fillings that felt balanced rather than heavy. On my list for next time are the Il Mortazza or the Caponata, and I would also love to come back to try their pastas. If parking in the area were easier and it didn't feel like such a production to get here, I could see myself stopping by a lot more often.

Ordered a couple of things like the frittata, pesto lasagna, and focaccia sandwich. The focaccia sandwich is where it's at - it's filling, fresh and very balanced.

Wanted to find a quick place to stop for lunch while in LA, we heard this spot had an amazing meatball sandwich and opted to try this place given its authentic vibes. Parking is a little difficult, but just going down one of the sides streets is plenty to find some easy spaces. We purchased the sandwich along with their lasagna al ragu as well as their tiramisu for dessert. Both dishes were very fresh and delicious. I particularly liked the lasagna! Our only gripe was the size of the dishes as we were both left pretty hungry afterwards, with both of our entrees totaling around 35$ for the two. Overall, a nice decent place to check out authentic italian cuisine!

I had no idea how important bread is to a sandwich until I came here. I am not sure what kind of crack they put into this bread, but Ceci's is the real deal. We tried the meatball and the mostaza sandwich and both were amazing. Would love to try their pasta dishes, but it would be so tough to stray from their pristine sandwiches

Authentic Italian!! This place is the real deal. The polpette al sugo (meatball focaccia) is my favorite sandwich and they make tasty sweets like bomboloni and sbrisolona, both of which I HIGHLY recommend! The people are friendly, service is great, and street-side ambiance is fun! LA people are sleeping on Ceci's!!!

I've been looking for a good suppli ever since I got back from Rome. I finally found a place with AMAZING Italian food. The shop itself is simple, with a few outdoor seats. The person that took our order was very kind. We tried their meatball sandwich (it has an Italian name on the menu). It was amazing! The focaccia was the right texture too. I am coming back even though I low-key would want to gate-keep this place!

This is such a great little café! I absolutely love their focaccia, in a variety of flavors. They have great desserts, such as Italian donuts, and sandwiches as well. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, everything is made by hand fresh with high-quality ingredients. Prices are fair considering how much effort is put into their products and presented beautifully. They have a bit of outdoor seating and easy street parking. Wonderful local business supporting!

Zucchini alla Parmigiana after we baked it

Heard about this place having the best meatball sandwich (on focaccia) in LA. But we opted for a couple to go dishes since we were in the neighborhood. We purchased the cannelloni with ricotta and spinach entree and the zucchini alla parmigiana. Easy to make hot at home and very delicious. The only disappointment we had was we thought the dishes were a bit on the small side. But I guess that's the price you pay for high quality food. Two entrees cost about $35. It might be nice if a bit of bread was thrown into the take out bag as a surprise. Parking is kind of sparse and the store has a few spaces for seating outside.

Meatball and other random sandwich. Fresh and tasty but small portions in my opinion.

Small restaurant & cafe off a busy street with limited seating on the sidewalk. We ordered two focaccia sandwiches one with meatball and the other I can't remember. Both tasted pretty good and the bread seemed very fresh. The only downside for me was, I thought the portions were too small and pricing was too high. Overall decent experience.

    Cannelloni ., amazing honestly

Best food in town , food from legit chef owner ., bravo cecis , food is consistently great and quick easy .,

Focaccia Toast with Spicy Marinara - so good!

Wow wow wow, very glad I decided to be hungry while visiting this part of town I don't normally always get to. Italian lunch made by a real Italian?? The owner was incredibly nice and gave me the tour of the whole menu. The homemade focaccia looked so good and I'm such a sucker for it that I ordered a sandwich that was too good. I got the Focaccia Toast accompanied by the spicy marinara - chef's kiss. Enjoyed it out on the sidewalk on some tables surrounded by others - felt like a visit to Europe.

I've been on the hunt for a really good fish sandwich, so I had to give it a try. Located on Melrose Ave, Daybird is a small spot with a simple menu--basically chicken sandwich or fish sandwich. I love that kind of simplicity. No huge menu, just focusing on doing a few things really well. I ordered the fish sandwich with no spice because I wanted to taste the breading and the fish itself without any distractions. First thing I noticed when it arrived--it was hot and huge! The bread was soft and pillowy, and the tartar sauce was amazing. The seasoning was perfect, keeping everything simple and balanced. The fish was flaky and tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and every bite was just incredible. The cheese was a perfect addition too, adding just the right amount of saltiness to bring everything together. Definitely one of the best fish sandwiches I've had. My only complaint is the location and parking. Finding a spot in that part of LA can be a challenge, but it's worth the effort. I'll definitely be back.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! PS the kid loved theirs and so did the hub. Thanks for making dinner: easy and delicious! There are no pictures because it was too delicious to take the time out and take any. Just order.

The salad was way too overpriced for the portion size and there wasn't anything special about it. Maybe other than the snap peas were slightly charred? The beef tartare was okay. I think if the toast was not as thick, the flavor would be more balanced. The char on the toast was the main flavor. The ricotta dumplings were the best thing we ate that night, mostly because of the broth. It was equally light and full bodied, I could've had an entire bowl of the broth to myself! The ricotta dumplings were good but definitely needed the broth to complete it. Otherwise, it was just okay on its own. The dish comes with two dumplings. The half chicken was good. The charr on the chicken was perfect. The chicken breast was on the dry side though. The salad was more on the bitter side and it lingered. I liked that the bread was mixed in the salad and soaked up the chicken juice. I think there is room for improvement in terms of the food quality. The pricing definitely doesn't make sense. Half a chicken was only $5 more than the ricotta dumplings?? Idk. $21 for 5 endive leaves, snap peas, maybe a quarter of an avocado... the most overpriced item on the menu for sure.
