I've been visiting to this Azteca since moving to Lynnwood. And I have to say, my experience there is always different. Sometimes the service is ok, but the last time I went the service was just terrible. After we were done with lunch we waited almost 30 min to wait for the check after the waitress cleared out our table. It was a slow day there and I saw the staff hanging out by the bar. I've fiesta'd here a few times and each time left with a happy tummy and not terrible bill. They have decent priced lunch specials (around $7 per plate for different combos), consistently friendly service and very quick food delivery. The veggie quesadilla is tasty! Came in late for dinner on a friday. Great fast service and tasty strong magaritas and daiquris. Had the carne y mojo (skirt steak & shrimp) split between 3 people. Delicious and unanimously enjoyed. From the other reviews it sounds that, like most Mexican restaurants I have been to, it can be hit & miss. But I had a good experience when I went, so I have to give them credit for that. read more

This is among the most uninspiring Mexican food. The mole and verde sauces were thin and flavorless. The margaritas overly sweet. There is nothing wrong with the food in terms of quality it is just a lack of taste. The service is good and the atmosphere is very family friendly. read more

The only reason I give this place a 3 and not a 1 is because I like their cheap happy hour menu and the staff are always friendly. However, I came here for dinner with a friend after work one night and ordered the enchiladas espinaca and they were AWFUL. The description says sauteed spinach, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, cauliflower and jalapenos yet there was nothing but dried up spinach! It was almost inedible. It was clearly microwaved too with how dried up and crusty the spinach was. I know that Azteca is not known to be the best Mexican food but come on!! That THING that was served on my plate I wouldn't feed to a starving dog, it was so bad. I mean, how does a cook forget ALL the ingredients minus one?!! My wife and I love Azteca in Mukilteo for several reasons. We have tried them all and found that this location the best over many years of dining. I'm a Real Estate Broker and own MyNorthwestHomes.com. I was working with a client in Mukilteo, an area we do a lot of business in, and decided to go to dinner again for a couple drinks and dinner after we were done. The people who work there are so nice and always nearby. Rafiella is one of the wait staff we love. We always ask to be seated in her area. She is funny and always right there for us. If you haven't been here in awhile, I recommend giving them another chance - I wasn't really impressed with the food or the service the last time I was there, but had a great meal, great service and even had a fun atmosphere in the bar area. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.. The very nicest family running and cooking this wonderful Mexican food. We go every birthday, they put a hat on us, take our picture and post it up on the wall in the hallway. A gem!! They always remember us and love to have fun with the customers... especially Halloween, watch out for the spiders that hang from the ceilings...tee hee, they are fake, but make u jump! Can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. OUR FAVORITE FOR MEXICAN FOOD... and great views of the Sound.... Ck it out, you won't be sorry!!!! read more

I will never go to this Azteca again. The service felt rushed and forced. The customer service is horrible. I ordered a picadillo enchilada. The waiter comes back with chicken. I told him that I ordered the enchilada and politely asked for him to take it. He told us, "no, no you ordered chicken". He did come back with SHREDDED BEEF and said, "there. There's your picadillo. Good? Okay. Good." (Again, very rushed). It's a matter of principle in this case. If picadillo wasn't available, I would have appreciated, "sorry ma'am, we do not have that tonight, however, we have other choices- chicken, beef, etc..." He turned it around on us and made it seem like we were liars or that we made the mistake the first time. I know what picadillo is, as if eaten it many times. I did not appreciate how perceived us as "dumb customers", played of chicken and shredded beef as "picadillo", and expect us to just accept it. read more

I went to Azteca last night for dinner with my wife and the service was extremely bad. When our food was served, they asked if I wanted a refill for my Pepsi and the server never came back. I had to flag somebody after 15 mintues to get another drink. When we were done, we waited for the check for over 20 mintues, while other tables were receiving their check well after we were done eating. We were ignored the entire night from both that fat hairy manager and the server. Guess what? They got a $0 tip and I will never go back to that Mexican chain restaurant dump again. read more

I love chili Reanos but this one was not even eatable, the chili was completely raw, crunchy raw, the Mole was right out of a can from the grocery store & my wife's chicken fajitas had absolutely no seasoning at all and the attitude of the staff is "don't give a damn". ONE WORD....HORRIBLE!!!!! The food is ok but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I ordered my food to go and pick up, I called them 1hr before I said I would be there and it was STILL NOT READY (I ordered two taco salads). The hostest has been rude the last two times I have gone there as well. I called the manager to make a complaint and he told me I was a liar. Very disappointed in the service and the staff. Had dinner here last night. Food was over-priced. Service was ok. We ordered a side of guacamole and got about 2 tablespoons of browning guacamole on top of some lettuce with our entree and then were charged $3 extra. We just had dinner at this Azteca with our family and the service was terrible. They charged us incorrectly. The server and the staff were rude. They rolled their eyes in front of us when we said that what we ordered was different from what we got charged for. Not a pleasant location to eat. We're very disappointed at the service. read more

I have to tell you, the food and drinks tonight were absolutely terrible! I wish there was one thing from the chips and salsa, the drinks and the food, NONE were even close to tasty. The restaurant was three quarters empty at 7:00PM on Saturday night which should have sent us a big warning but I gotta tell you, it was the worst Mexican Food we have ever eaten bar none. The Margarita I had was "urine yellow" in color and tasted like sweet week old Orange Juice, the Mojito my wife had was worse. The Salsa tasted like canned tomato paste with a few sweet tomatoes and onions added. Then, this was followed by a tasteless order of some kind of Chicken Soup for my wife and Tacos al Carbon that were both tasteless. The hardest part about tonight's experience was the $50 Bill that I had to pay for food and was not worth the plates and glass they were served in. AVOID this place at all cost because if you stop in, you will most likely see that you are dining pretty much alone as only about 10% of the restaurant was even occupied. read more
