My favorite food is the tortilla soup from here, but the last few times the portion of soup has completely shrunk.

My favorite food is the tortilla soup from here which I get delivered from doordash. The last few times the portion has completely shrunk. Really disappointing

Great place for a worry free meal. Grew up going to Azteca and I still enjoy it The service was attentive and fun and this place seems great for all ages

Skinny marg sub for spicy marg tequila. Absolute new fav!!!

I have been going to Azteca for decades all over the state, and am very familiar with this Mukilteo location, figured I'd finally speak my praises! 5pm on a Friday, no wait to be seated. Customary chips and salsa served right away and server asking for drinks not far behind. I wanted the fresh base of a skinny margarita but the tanteo jalepeno infused tequila of the spicy margarita. They made it happen and it will now be my go-to marg at Azteca! The taco autenticos with steak came up super quickly. The server brought out this amazing green salsa spicy sauce and it deliciously complimented the tacos. I did need to add a generous amount to feel any heat but it was a latent and creeper kind of heat. As always, friendly and expedient service, checked on by the manager and several servers. Consistent service and quality every time. If you don't know already, their pico de gallo with chips is amazing!

It's always such a great time when we come in! The food is beyond delicious and service is always amazing as well. It was a busy night but the atmosphere was still so amazing and never did we feel neglected. Definitely will be coming back!

Wonderful food and really friendly staff. Food prices was on par, not too expensive, but we didn't try any mixed drinks. The Nachos were way too much for one person, it could have been enough for two people. My son had the lunch fajitas and said the stake was really good. Quiet and clean. There wasn't a line or large crowd at 11am.

    Brown throughout!

Usually get pretty good food from this place but we paid $10 for Brown guacamole tonight, and making guacamole myself. I know how long it takes for Brown to work all the way through from top to bottom so this stuff is easily day-old if not longer...... Sad

Tonight I ordered a La Bandera Ensalada Garden salad generously topped with choice of fajitas. Finished with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocados and cheese. Options include Chicken, Steak or Shrimp. Steak or Shrimp $16.75 It was strictly a romaine leaf from a stalk that was strategically buried under hand shredded steak. 1/4 sliced avocado in one corner, fresh mushrooms, slightly surprised they weren't sauteed, shredded cheese in another, and diced tomatoes in the last corner. It was a disappointment.

They get skimpy on things when you order them to pick up and they are also very rude and have poor customer service.

No comment. I am not a big fan of spending $20 a plate off a resteraunt off a speedway. For that price I want ocean dining.

This Azteca location consistently has great food. I wish they'd have more promotions like many of the other Mexican places around!

Very overpriced from other Azteca's, service was crappy. They wanted to charge us for more tortillas to take home with our food (4).

In long I came in for lunch on a quiet Friday--one party of friends was leaving, one party of co-workers was filling up another table. The dining room felt super empty right at lunch hour. Probably could seat 50 people. Dude was working the floor by himself. They have some flat screens up, showing whatever's clever. There's a full bar, but the cocktail menu is even shorter than the food menu, which isn't long. They seem to want to go for that family-place vibe, including the sports-focused bar area, but their space just isn't big enough to really bring that to life. I ordered carne asada for $28. You get a nice serving of steak with real grill marks and nice smoky aroma and flavor. Rice, beans, a little guac, some pico, and 3 tortillas. Hearty enough for lunch, though the menu says "dinner portion only," and that made me wonder for a second if lunch portions are usually much smaller. All the flavors were right on, and dude kept my iced tea full. Word of mouth on this place is kinda mixed around here, despite the solid rate here. I'd go back, but even just for the sports-bar/family-Mexican restaurant segment, there are multiple options nearby that have more resources (even if the food here is just as good).

If you are placing a big order or future order, expect wait times longer than expected (approx 15 mins or more). The morning crew are a bit unorganized handling customers coming in and future orders for pickup. I've placed 3 separate orders this past couple months for the taco box. Each time, I've placed (3) taco boxes for a 10:15am pickup for corporate lunch. The first time was via. local by toast (paid in advance and schedule pickup) second time I visited the restaurant and placed my order in person, and third time I played via. Local by toast and even called afterwards to confirm order and pickup date / schedule. The first time, they completely forgot our order and we waited 30 minutes to make. The second time, they did the same thing but thought that the pickup date was for a different date and we had to wait 30 minutes. The third time, I came in at 10:05am and didn't see any boxes being made. Only saw the worker prepping the other orders. I checked in and 5 minutes later, they started prepping the boxes. They finished the boxes and were still frying the tortilla chips and prepping the guacamole. They also forgot the burrito that was placed as well. We had to wait another 30 minutes.

In long They have been tearing it up a few minutes south of here, lost their lease, opened this one, and then re-opened the OG location not far from where it used to be. 2 brothers run the empire, one at each spot. It's a nicely crowded strip of good restaurants, among other businesses, on a busy stretch of 99 just up the highway from where 405 and 5 meet. Easy to get to. They don't have the crazy variety of proteins that some other local spots have, but the beef, chicken, and pork all show up as an option on most of the items. Tacos, burritos, plates, sopes, some other fun stuff. Big cooler of Jarritos sitting right where it should. It's a big dining room with at least a dozen tables, but the menu is nicely focused for sure. Staff are super friendly, and there's a pastry case up front by the register. Order up front so you can drool on the pastries...then they bring out your food. I had the steak picado, which was a nicely-seasoned mix of chopped skirt steak grilled on the flattop with chopped peppers. Good rice and beans and corn tortillas. But holy cow, those salsas. Just perfectly balanced. I just tried the ones they bring out automatically--next time I'll ask for a spicy one if they have it. These had just the right kick, using heat as part of the flavor rather than as a wrecking ball. I was out the door with a to-go plate for family, my big steak tacos plate, and a Jarritos for a little over $30. The kid behind the counter could not have been sweeter, and there was a steady stream of regulars getting to-go orders, even on St Patricks Day. I love this spot already and I am so glad it is so close to my place.
