This is probably our favorite restaurant in the Antelope Valley! Everyone is very polite and food is OUTSTANDING! We drive from town now because you are by far the best Mexican restaurant around. Do you like getting talked down to? This is the place for you! My fiancé and I went in, each ordered a burrito. We asked what came in each burrito and she listed off ingredients. At no time did she say onions would be on his burrito. I was totally nice and was just like, "hey we didn't hear you say onions, and there are onions." I was met with anger, and talked down to like a child. She actually said to me, "why you no tell me before?! Next time tell me before." Apparently everyone gets one, because she remade the food, and refused any further conversation with us the rest of the time. Do not come here! We had the worst service ever! I didn't know they put onions in the burrito, even after I asked, because I'm allergic to them. When I said something the lady said, "why didn't you tell me!" I said I asked what was in it and she said "I told you!" She never said anything. My 2 star rating does not reflect the food whatsoever, because the food was great. The service on the other hand was impeccably terrible! Whoever the older woman is that works here, is beyond rude and has terrible table-side manner. No matter how polite I was with a smile or continuous "thank you's" throughout my meal, I never got a "you're welcome" of any sort, but rather a "are you done?" After my plate was empty. I should have known from how rude the cashier was and how empty the place was the first time not to purchase anything but I gave them a try and the food was mediocre. The second time I actually recommended family who visiting from out of town, to say I was embarrassed would be an understatement. I am writing this review during COVID-19 takeout. This is my experience. I went in at lunch time, the first thing I noticed is that they have some outdoor patio dining available, which is nice. Then I noticed that they have a menu posted, but all of the prices are blacked out. When I went inside to order, it was empty. I asked them what happened to the menu prices and they said the price depends on what I order....huh?! At first I ordered 2 street tacos with rice and beans and a cheese quesadilla a la carte. She told me it would be $25...I was confused on the price and asked what the price would be if I did 2 tacos a la carte and the quesadilla a la carte and she said $19. 2 tacos (no rice and beans) and a quesadilla for $19!!! I ended up ordering because I had somewhere to get to. I don't understand how they can charge prices like that. I will say that the quesadilla was large and included a big scoop of sour cream and guacamole. The tacos I got were good and large for street tacos, lots of meat. Food was good! I got the Azteca Breakfast which had eggs, carne asada, cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. It was super bomb! I recommend this place. The staff was so nice too! The vibe inside was cool as well with salsa music playing in the background and real nice Aztec decor and paintings. I jus love places like this with real authentic Mexican food. Food was a C- Had to ask for chips and salsa after 10min. Also, ordered a margarita on the rocks. Tasted like straight margarita mix. Asked her what kind of tequila she used and her answer was 'wine tequila that has 24% alcohol and regular tequila has 40%, do you want another one?' No I don't. Do you want a beer or water? I have two experiences to review and I'm going to net them at 2 stars. Exp #1 I went with my fiance and 2 kids, we had a male waiter who was serving all of the tables in the restaurant. He was friendly and tried his best to get to everyone in the restaurant. We had burritos which were tasty, not a fan of the salsa. This would be a 3-4 star visit. Exp #2 my fiance is Hispanic and I am black. He does not speak Spanish. On this occasion my fiance took my mom and kids to have menudo. This time they had a female waiter. She was rude and kept speaking in Spanish only to my fiance, even though he told her he doesn't speak Spanish and my mom and kids obviously didn't either.
