Second time here and I like it the first time! The service was fantastic and the ambiance was nice and mellow... However, this time the food was subpar. I normally stick to what I regularly order for brunch but I've been trying new things because life is too short to be boring! I tried the Greek Breakfast Sandwich (I LOVE feta cheese). Unfortunately, it was lacking in flavor and only one side of the sandwich was cooked/toasted. If you do stop in, I do recommend their cinnamon roll French toast! Love the location right in the middle of down town castle rock. We joined the waitlist online before showing up, and then let the hosts know we were there. Waited 45 min (10am on a Saturday) but just walked around downtown. You get a text when your table is ready. We were able to get my son a sucker while we waited, so he was happy. The food: very tasty! Obviously the cinnamon roll French toast was sweet, but yummy nonetheless. My husband and I both thought the Chile rellenos could've had more substance. You get two giant chiles, and we would've liked more eggs/sausage. We got a side of sausage links and those were very good and substantial! We'd come back, but continue trying different things on the menu. read more

I sat here and watched your team turn away paying customers because it was "five minutes before closing"! The customers stated they would be quick and knew what they wanted, but the "team lead" stated she could not seat them! WOW. Your employees have forgotten their job. Their job is not to open and close a restaurant and get home ASAP. Their job (and the entire reason your business exists) is because you/they provide goods and services to PAYING customers. Castle Rock has evolved into a competitive dining environment. There are twenty times more restaurants than there was 25 years ago when my family moved here. Be careful. You are pushing money (and reputation) out the door and redirecting it to your competitors. Soon, the restaurant chains will take over and it will be your "team leads" who undid your business. Please remind your staff that open til 2:00 means you are VERY WELCOME to join us at 1:55 pm and we will provide the same friendly, quality service as the customer who showed up at your establishment at 7:05 am. Breakfast on a Monday morning around 8:30 am essentially no line and no waiting. Very good waiter. She was very pleasant and very efficient, especially dealing with four retired guys... food arrived quickly and accurately. Two of us had the Classic Eggs Benedict. It was okay, potatoes were lukewarm as was the hollandaise sauce, but it did have a thick slice of Canadian bacon that was good. The other two ordered breakfast burritos and they indicated that they were okay, nothing worth noting either way. Bottom line, it was okay and we all would return. Went back again to give it another shot. Same story different day. I saw the turkey sandwich last time, wanted to give it a try so agreed to go back as my daughter wanted pancakes. Pancakes were fine just as before. Bacon still tastes like ham. This time the food was so undercooked it's really amazing anyone let it out of the kitchen. I included two pictures. The first was my toasted bread for the sandwich, the picture does it justice. The second picture is of my wife's French toast, and the pic doesn't do it justice. Couldn't get good enough lighting, but it was barely darker than my bread. The breakfast potatoes were still not cooked through either. The execution is just so bad that it can't overcome just okay food. I don't think I will ever be back. My in-laws seemed to like the place, they can certainly have it when they're in town. read more

I have zero bad things to say about this place! We were quoted 30 minutes for an outside table, we waited maybe 15! Our waitress was fantastic. The variety on their menu is superb. I got the California Benedict and it was the best eggs benedict I've ever had. I didn't miss the ham one bit. The potatoes were also seasoned perfectly. We were raving about this place for days. I really enjoyed this place. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and it was easy to get into. Don't worry if it looks like there is a crowd. There is plenty of room inside, and they'll be able to seat you quickly no matter when you come. I was surprised how big the place was. That staff were all friendly, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will definitely come back the next time I am in town. It's a good location near plenty of free parking, and close to other attractions like the Castle Rock Museum in the old train depot. read more

Love this local diner ish spot for breakfast. Today kids had strawberry shortcake waffles (a special ) that were amazing!!! I love the country garden skillet with a side of hollandaise so it's gluten free. Service is nice. Atmosphere small town friendly and love its right downtown with outdoor dinning too. Also On Yelp you can see the wait times (helps with hungry kids to know what to expect). -1 star because the coffee is soooooo BAD unless you like water with a drop of coffee that tastes like watered down Folgers. This needs to change. Do people actual drink coffee like that? For real when it's poured it looks like a light tea. read more

We waited about an hour past our estimated time because we were a party of 6 even though we said we'd take a smaller booth because we had 3 smaller kids in our party. My husband & I came for Sunday breakfast at around 8AM. It was pretty busy but we easily found parking & were seated immediately. I loved the character of the historic building, & our seat offered a lovely view of the downtown street for some great people watching. They have a pretty nice selection of breakfast cocktails but I opted for a mocha (husband had a basic mimosa). For breakfast I had the California eggs benedict & my husband had the cinnamon bun french toast with eggs, bacon, & potatoes. He also added nutella to the french toast. Both were out of this world. The eggs benny were some of the best I've had; the flavor of the pico & avocado were so fresh. My few bites from my husband's french toast were very indulgent & rich with a great chocolate/cinnamon mix. The staff were very nice & quick on service. This place, especially because of how close it is to our house, is in my top 3 favorite breakfast spots. read more

Stopped in here on a whim. What a lucky chance our party of 4 had a great seat outside with great food. My picky 6yo daughter had her words "amazing French toast sticks". This place is a classic gem of Castle Rock. We had wanted to go but always saw a long line out the door. We now understand why. The food is amazing! They have a huge menu of classic breakfast options. My favorite menu item by far is their banana bread French toast! Yes you heard that right....banana bread French toast, yum! We also love their cinnamon rolls (they're huge) and biscuits and gravy. The lunch that we tried was also good, but their breakfast is where it's at! We have returned many times, and have brought out of town guests. The historic building makes it a cool and unique place to bring our friends and family from out of town. This is a quaint little breakfast place that seems to be popular with the locals. Cute booths, bottomless coffee and friendly people. But it wasn't the right place for me. The menu has many dishes marked as gluten free, but that's if you stick to the meat options. I was told they could substitute toast with tomatoes, for an upcharge. Not feeling this one. Hopefully they'll offer some gluten free toast and get themselves a second toaster. They could also do to have gluten free pancakes, muffins, waffles, etc. Then I'd be happy to give them another go! read more

Ordered takeout brunch for the whole family, and was surprised it was ready so quickly. The menu offered a variety of options, and there was something for everyone! I had the eggs benedict, the eggs were a bit over poached..but it was still tasty. I was also thrilled that they had huge cinnamon buns. Honestly one is enough to feed multiple people lol. I like my cinnamon buns on the chewy/doughy side, and I will say this one had a bit more of a bread consistency and some of the sugar was a bit crunchy on the inside...but the icing was heaven and I'd still order it again :) I felt very comfortable going inside to pick up my food. Not crowded, and plenty of hand sanitizer available. My brother and sister in law order from here all the time, and I know it is a favorite of theirs so I would definitely recommend picking up an order if you're feeling like a hearty brunch! read more

This is my new favorite eatery. This place is very popular and there seems to always be a wait. The wait goes pretty quick and once seated, the service is awesome. The food arrived sooner than expected and was hot and prepared as ordered. The staff are polite and attentive. The quality of the food and portion size is generous and I feel it is comparable to Snooze but not as pricey. Definitely heading back soon. read more
