Would not recommend. I had a 3 ton AC unit installed. They replaced my old unit with a new one in a different location that was convenient for them. This meant not putting the unit further back in the crawl space but right in the way of my crawl space entrance. This also meant installing a new pad that sits beside my already large and accommodating pad for the units, which also blocks a sprinkler head. The pump/drain installed was put right next to the house so water would drain between the foundation of my house and the pad. That also created a lot of algae buildup. I fixed this myself. Does the unit blow cold air, yes. Is this quality work? Not in the slightest. Despite this experience I called this company out to have my air ducts looked at for potential cleaning. A recommendation was made to have my air ducts cleaned. The quote received referenced systems being cleaned. It was NOT clear when they first came out they would only be doing 1 of 2 systems. I learned this while the work was being done. I reached out to express my frustration that a $1200 duct cleaning was only for 1 of the 2 systems. I received a call back with the technician citing he only looked at one system. The technicians explanation and the quote did not make it clear that only 1 system would be cleaned. Strange too that the odor that triggered this duct cleaning was on the system they installed. I had no issues with the original system that was there for 13 years. I will not only NOT recommend this company, I'll go out of my way to warn others. There are plenty of companies looking to earn peoples business, and I'm glad to give it to them. read more

We had an A/C issue and our normal company couldn't make it out so we called Covenant. We have used them for seasonal maintenance but nothing else. Trip charge was $109 to basically tell us to turn it off and they would be back the next day. Said he couldn't charge the gas because it would just run out. Night of heavy sweating. As they said, they came out the next day and analyzed the issue. $300 for leak detection. Once they found it we were told, even under warranty, it would be $2100. I do not like to get one opinion so I called our normal company. They came right out, found the leak without $300 leak detection and said it would be $800 out the door. In addition he charged it and said it would last us a week and call if we needed him before then. I do give credit to Covenant for coming out but charging us 3 times as much was ridiculous. read more

Per their rep - they do not warranty any work once the home is sold and takes new ownership. DEFINITLEY STAY FAR AWAY from this company. Their work should never be dependent on who owns it. You either do it correctly or you don't - and they obviously did not if I'm already having to call them out. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS. They will make clerical errors in their office, send someone to your home to conduct services you never asked for, and bill your credit card for them, while you didn't even ask for the services to be completed. They will lie about what was requested, fake a signature, and when you try to dispute it with your credit card, they will deny their error and refuse to reverse the charge. They turn a request for an estimate into work billed that you do not ask for. Apparently, credit cards can not reverse the charge once a crook has your card number on file for former requests. We found and chose this place, because of the positive reviews and had such a great experience we wanted to add our own. Our heater went out during a peak period due to the recent snowstorm, but covenant was still able to send Brandon out same day on a Saturday. We are new home owners and Brandon not only fixed our heater, but he took the time to explain everything thoroughly including give us guidance on what filters to order and how to replace, since that's what triggered the rest of the problems when the heater got to hot. We also felt the price was reasonable, considering the weekend service and fast turnaround. We had such a great experience, we signed up for the twice a year maintenance program. read more

It took me an inordinate amount of time to find a decent HVAC service company in the Nashville/Middle TN area. I seriously went through several companies before finding these folks--companies that would not show up when scheduled, wouldn't return calls, or would send technicians out to do work who had no idea what they were doing. I'm no HVAC expert (otherwise I wouldn't hire someone to do the work for me) but I was having to load up manuals and pages online to show the techs what to do to fix my problem! Anyway, I found Covenant and they've been out to my house several times over the past couple of years, occasionally to fix an issue but more often than not to perform annual upkeep that SAVES ME MONEY. Every tech that's been out has been friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. They show up when they say they will, work with you on YOUR schedule, and charge you VERY REASONABLY. I was poised to leave a 5 star review for this company because they were able to come out (for $129 fee) on a holiday weekend when everyone else was closed and our hvac was out with 100 degree weather. Alex told my hubby that our compressor was out on our 3 year old unit and that whole the part would be covered under warranty, the Freon and labor of 6 to 8 hours would run us about $2000 and they could get the part on Tuesday. We got a second opinion on Tuesday morning and they told us it would be approximately $1300 for the repair $250 of which would be for the new compressor under warranty. We decided to go with the less expensive option at first and then decided since Covenant could come out on Wednesday and it is just getting hotter that we would call Covenant back. The tech came on Wednesday afternoon and was here for approximately 2 hours from 1:20 to 3:20pm. He showed me an invoice for 1992.64. The problem is that all of the cost was now for the part that is under warranty with no charge for labor, about $470 for Freon and the remainder for the compressor. Why has this Christian based company decided to charge us for a part that was under warranty? read more

Just an update on a prior very positive review of Covenant H and C. Our new and very good system has had a glitch...AC shut down for unknown reason on hot days. Not good! Called Covenant and Brandon was sent out promptly. Very knowledgeable and(as or today 8/29..everything is working well as usual). Very responsive folks and they back up their product and wife and dog(Max with fur) are very happy again. After seeing the Positive reviews about this company I decided to give them a call as my Heat exchange has rust spots, along with a Freon leak and would need to be retrofitted with the new Type of Refrigerant in the coming years Which overall Made replacing the Unit more advantageous then the long list of repairs. I had read reviews about several different types of HVACs and had really decided on American Standard which is the brand they carry. He was also able to give me a 10 year warranty on Parts, labor, on the American Standard which put me at ease as a big worry would be spending this type of money only to have a problem shortly down the road. They were able to come very quickly and took measurements and decided that I needed a 2 ton 14 seer unit. when I asked about how quickly they could have it installed he then told me how is tomorrow. They showed up Bright and Early the next day. They had 3 very professional competent employees at my house they were able to load and unload the unit in a very timely manner. They checked the duct work and as I had suspected one duct had become dislodged and they fixed it. They changed out the wires and painted my gas line and made it look Top notch going above and beyond then just putting a new unit in the place of the old unit/ They also cleaned up after themselves they were a good company and I will use them again. read more

Covenant was very helpful in replacing the ductwork and a mini-split system at our home as a result of recent flooding in Brentwood. Chris, the site leader, and his team were helpful and friendly during the process. They found a crimped Freon line on the original mini-split install that answered a long standing question of why it would not work properly. Jeffrey is very conscientious and I have complete confidence in his work. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received from Covenant Heating and Cooling. I contacted them via their website on a Wednesday afternoon and someone from the office called me within minutes to set up an appointment. Because our AC unit was completely out, they said they would try to fit me in that day, but it would be late, between 8-10. Imagine my surprise when they called at 5 and said they were on their way. Unfortunately, the problem could not be fixed that day, but the technician followed up the next morning by checking to make sure our unit was still under warranty and letting us know. The AC manufacturer said the part would not be available for at least a week, but they found it someplace and a repairman was out first thing Friday morning. Both technicians were polite and competent, as was the receptionist. It is rare to find a company that follows through and does exactly what they say they will do. We hired them to install a tankless water heater and after several weeks of it not working properly, we eventually had to hire someone else in order to get it working properly. They kept telling us it was the heater so after several conversations with Rinnai we finally hired someone else and they had it working in a day! I want to let everyone know that this company goes above and beyond. We had gotten an estimate from them on replacing a central unit on a house we were purchasing. The quote was excellent We told them that we would like to get it in as soon as we closed (this was in Feb) so that we could start working on the house to be able to move in asap. They said that they would try to be there by the following day if we let them know in advance. Well I contacted them and let them know the closing date that was scheduled and as we all know things like that can change - so I told them I would call when we closed to let them know for sure. So on closing day after all papers were signed I gave them a call and let them know . Hoping that we could be put on schedule with in the next day or 2. Well they beat us to the house! LOL I'm sure they can't akways be that speedy but I'm sure they try. They really surprised us- it was service above and beyond! Honest company, excellent service, 24/7, very nice techs, aren't high pressure, have deals and discounts, having a 'membership' is worth it! They honored my warranty that the previous company would not (the ones who installed my unit). They give a timeframe that they'll arrive that is within a couple hours or so, not the 'Sometime between 8am and 9pm' kind of thing, then they call when they finish with the job before you to see if you are ready for them to show up. Gives you time to run home if you aren't there. My only complaint is that they weren't in business yet when I replaced my unit 10 years ago! read more
