Found this great little coffee shop on Yelp. It called BS Coffee Shop in Clovis. It's a small place with great food and service. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. We had the veggie omelette with the small pancake. And the Country Benedict. Everything was delicious. It tasted very much like home cooking. Definitely a great breakfast place. I'll have to go back and try their lunch next time.

Morning everybody, check this out. We stop by this hideaway in Clovis this morning. We heard that the meals were home style with big portions. Well the food was very good certainly don't judge a book by its cover. Very small nestled within a neighborhood and you can tell it was a favorite among the locals. Our waitress greeted us as soon as we walked in and what I believe were her children were seated at the counter doing possibly home schooling? We asked if they had specialty coffees and she replied no but we have hot coffee that response was priceless. This was a neat place to be. The vibe was make yourself at home and enjoy a great homemade meal. Check it out, I gave it four stars not only for the food but because it was old style service.

It's been awhile since I've been but this place is truly a hidden gem... Have been driving passed it for years not thinking much of it til one day I finally got the urge to try it. I order the same thing every time, I believe the BS stands for Betty and Shirley's coffee shop (original owners way back when). If I'm not mistaken. the space is small but the food is mighty. Come on a CHEAT day for sure I throughly enjoy the Country Benedict with Sausage side of Hashbrowns Like a classic biscuits and gravy, two fried eggs, biscuits topped with gravy and sausage underneath the eggs. I ask for mine easy but they do their best to accommodate to what you like. I don't remember my server but she was a beautiful blonde woman with nice nails! I want to come back soon.

Love this local place! Wonderful breakfast, ambiance, and the staff is always on point :) The biscuits and gravy are my favorite and make me want to eat all day. my husband devours the pancakes and waffles, plus the hash browns are so crispy and such a nice touch to any sweetness there is :)

I don't know how I went so long without eating here. It's a traditional diner with a small dining area, a counter, and a friendly atmosphere. I tried various breakfast items here and the only thing I don't really recommend is the country fried steak. It was a thick piece if meat that wasn't tenderized, and the breading didn't adhere to it. Everything else was great. I tried both the bacon and the sausage gravy and both were excellent. Biscuits and pancakes were really good too. The hash browns were crispy but so fluffy. There were two servers who seemed to work selflessly like a small team. One of them brought a hot carafe of coffee to stay at the table which is just a win-win situation. I plan on making this place our regular breakfast spot and can't wait to try other items.

The Local has a ton of potential. My family and I were excited to try a new restaurant in Clovis ,…read moreand ran across positive reviews of this place. We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The Local gets the job done if you need a quick bite during the work day. I tried the BBQ Bleu Burger, which comes loaded with bleu cheese crumbles, BBQ sauce, bacon jam, fried onions, and the usual burger fixings. The burger itself was generously sized, but the patty was underseasoned, and the dominant flavors were mainly the bleu cheese and BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and felt it lacked flavor. Our kids split the mac & cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich, but neither was a hit. Even the grilled cheese went mostly untouched, by my kids which was unexpected. On the plus side, the outdoor patio is cozy and looks like a great spot for fall dining with a drink in hand. They also offer brunch, though it's available by reservation only.

They didn't make them, refrigerate them, plate them, or serve them. Apparently the cupcakes were just undocumented pastries crossing the Colton's border. It's not the $10 folks, it's the nickel-and-diming. Ranch? 50¢. Reservation? There's a fee. Birthday cupcakes after dropping $450? Another $10. What else is on the secret menu? Extra napkin, 75¢? Another lemon in my tea--do I need financing? Second straw--hard credit pull? We've enjoyed Colton's food, but we'll be taking a break due to their nickel and diming policies. There are too many good restaurants around town that value their customers to spend $450 and still get shaken down for cupcake money and ranch fees!!

It's always open, the service is prompt and friendly, and the price is right. Yesterday, like so many previous times, we were getting a large group together for the Clovis Craft Brew Festival. What makes Neighbor's so perfect is that two friends arrived first, and despite being just a group of two, they were able to snag a table for 8. As other friends showed up over the next hour, we just kept adding to our table. And our server was wonderful! He greeted each new person/couple and quickly took their order. At one point, the poor guy had 4 different orders put in on 5 separate checks. But everything was delivered promptly and to the right person, despite us constantly shuffling around the table and changing spots with each new arrival. I just love the casual and laid back vibe at Neighbor's! The food is also delicious and fair priced, and my draft beer was icy cold and only 5 bucks.

It turned out to be quite the mission to find something open past 9pm, but we happened upon Neighbor's, which was set to close at 10pm. The bartender was cleaning up so we checked if it'd be alright if we sat down for a couple of beers and she was more than happy to serve us. There was plenty of street parking as well. They have a decent selection of beers on tap (about 10-12 if I recall correctly) and I tried a couple of their IPAs, which were both great. The kitchen was unfortunately closed so I can't comment about the food, but this seems like a great place to hang out at the bar and grab a couple of beers if you happen to be in town.
