Neighbor's has become our very reliable and favorite meetup location when meeting friends for events in Old Town. It's always open, the service is prompt and friendly, and the price is right. Yesterday, like so many previous times, we were getting a large group together for the Clovis Craft Brew Festival. What makes Neighbor's so perfect is that two friends arrived first, and despite being just a group of two, they were able to snag a table for 8. As other friends showed up over the next hour, we just kept adding to our table. And our server was wonderful! He greeted each new person/couple and quickly took their order. At one point, the poor guy had 4 different orders put in on 5 separate checks. But everything was delivered promptly and to the right person, despite us constantly shuffling around the table and changing spots with each new arrival. I just love the casual and laid back vibe at Neighbor's! The food is also delicious and fair priced, and my draft beer was icy cold and only 5 bucks. read more

We got into Clovis pretty late and by the time we checked into our hotel, it was fast approaching 9pm and we wanted to find a spot to grab a couple of beers... on a Tuesday night. It turned out to be quite the mission to find something open past 9pm, but we happened upon Neighbor's, which was set to close at 10pm. The bartender was cleaning up so we checked if it'd be alright if we sat down for a couple of beers and she was more than happy to serve us. There was plenty of street parking as well. They have a decent selection of beers on tap (about 10-12 if I recall correctly) and I tried a couple of their IPAs, which were both great. The kitchen was unfortunately closed so I can't comment about the food, but this seems like a great place to hang out at the bar and grab a couple of beers if you happen to be in town. read more

2 Grilled chicken sandwiches ordered with pepper jack, veggies and limited oil with side salads. 1 with ranch. Nice bar. Good music playing. Clean and safe. The worker was kind. Order not ready yet. Waited. Received shortly later and left. Lunchtime! Got it ready per usual. The side salad was fresh and delicious! The sandwich was wow! Fantastic! Fresh and delicious! We showed up to this place on accident and we were very hungry. It was 7 PM on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere.the place was clean and spacious. We decided to sit outside because of the nice breeze before the real summer heat starts. Our waiter was quick and friendly. We decided to share the cul de sac between us two and got the wings, mozzarella sticks, corn dogs, and chicken strips. The cul de sac is a lot more bang for your buck because it's less expensive than two entrees and we were craving too many different things. Plus, other than that nothing on the menu particularly stood out. We ordered a side of fries to go with it. All of our food came out hot and very fresh. I was extremely excited to try the mini corn dogs because I thought the breading would be thicker and more flavorful. They tasted like regular corn dogs. I found the chicken tender breading to be disappointing, but the inside was flavorful. I loved the mozzarella sticks! The wings were tasty too and not too spicy for me. The fries had the same look and texture as McDonald's fries with French fry seasoning. We found them to have a bit too much seasoning. We tried Neighbors to check out their breakfast since so many of the breakfast spaces in Clovis are super busy on weekends and this place seemed pretty chill. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and always appreciate having a patio option. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, which were very savory. Lots of gravy but it was well seasoned and the biscuits were nice even though they were on the thin side. The farmers market skillet was great - local veggies, mushrooms, onions, and spinach with scrambled eggs. I asked for light cheese and added hot sauce and it was fabulous. My kids got the French toast and it was a large portion even though it was called "little" on the menu - it's the equivalent of 2 pieces of bread. We also orders the eggs Benedict on an English muffin and it was solid. Not amazing but good. Overall we enjoyed the food and the service and the pricing, which was around $10-12 a plate. They have mimosas and stuff as well but we didn't try that this time around. We would definitely come back! read more

I was here on 11/11/2021 with my wife on a random kid-free Thursday. We sat at the bar in front of the entrance and were promptly greeted and offered a sample of beer before ordering. Once the greeting was done it took longer than expected to place an order and at that time they were pretty slow. I ordered the Cali-Licious from Full Circle Brewery and my wife got an 805. We also ordered a fireball shot as a lost a bet... From here the good experience went downhill as they got busier and busier. Thursday Night Football was on and it didn't seem they were staffed to handle the crowd. Our beer refills were quick but I feel that was because we were right in front of the bartender. Beyond that we were mostly ignored. Not the end of the world as we were enjoying our own conversation. I ordered the burger of the month with onion rings and my wife ordered the cup-de-sac sampler to share. Mind you I've been eating greasy food for decades but this food was all mostly deep fried in old/dirty oil. The burger was meh. It was deli sliced turkey, stouffers stove top stuffing and some from a package gravy. Disappointed doesn't say it enough. About an hour after eating I had to puke in the bathroom, sorry TMI but it's the reality. Before eating I had a beer and that shot but I'm no rookie so some alcohol. In my opinion the sub par food just didn't sit well. I've got to the Fowler location for years and this was my first time at this location to eat, I've had drinks before. Will I be back, most likely but I'll stay away from the food. read more

On a typical date night, we will visit Neighbor's/Mad Duck. This time, we visited the Neighbors in Old Town. It is smaller than the other Clovis bar, which isn't bad. The bartenders were young and nice. They also play the music, which is fine, but, because it's so small, you are able to hear the songs, so, if the music is not your type, then it just changes the feel of the bar, you know. I kind of like the option of switching music on Touchtunes, or just having the bustle of the bar be the noise. Nobody looked like us at this place...but, it's Old Town, so expect a little bit more cowboy hats and less diversity. read more

I LOVE this place! I also LOVE their Fowler location! I think they have the most AMAZING staff. So friendly, attentive, fun. Even just today a server who wasn't even my server strolled by and brought me a sample of a new beer on tap. I thought that was fantastic! Made me feel so welcome:) I came by myself and they gave me the same attention as they would a big party. The Fowler location brings water for my dogs and loves to come say hi. I'm fact, they remembered when I said one night I was getting a new dog and they rushed out to ask me where my new dog was. Whoever does the hiring does a great job. The food was mediocre. The guacamole was mostly brown with no lemon in it to keep it fresh. The salsa needed a little salt. And and my son's girlfriend was served chicken in her quesadilla... she is a vegetarian!! Besides those flaws the food tasted fine. The service was pretty good. I've eaten in the restaurant 2 times. One time we were the only ones in there & service was great. Another time the restaurant was half full & service was horrible. It took forever for our order to arrive & we had to track someone down for more water & the check. I've ordered to-go 2 times & both times the order was wrong. They either left things off the meal completely or added things that the menu didn't state the item had. I'm not sure if it's staffing issues or what, but I've tried to give this place multiple attempts at redemption. I won't be dining here again. I met a friend there for a weekday lunch. We were greeted right away and seated. I had the Ruben Sandwich on marble rye bread. So this is the first time I've eaten here. To be honest my wife and I were there because the bar across the street was not open yet. I ordered us a couple of beers and we decided to order some food. I ended up ordering the burger of the month with some potato salad. The burger was impressive not only in appearance but it had a great taste to it. But that's not why I'm giving this review. Was more interested in talking to the customers sitting at the bar. Not friendly and terrible service. We got up and walked out. The location on Fowler and Nees is a way better place.
