I'm not a korean expert or anything but this place serves the best beef bulgogi i've had in okc. i saw that this place has such a low rating and i'm outraged. hence why i'm writing this spur of the moment review right now. granted i've only had the beef bulgogi here because i stick to what i know unless i'm with my asian buddies that can tell me what is what. but still! if you find a better bulgogi in OK tell me. Very dark setting to eat in and when you walk in, don't expect a inviting environment. No one smiles or talks nicely. Don't order water!! It is scooped from a white bucket with faucet water. Went here with a group of 20. The restaurant was a little hole in the wall, and the food was pretty good. Others in my group stated they have had better in the okc area. The waitress was not the most helpful. I was nervous that she didn't separate the tickets when she took our order. When I went up to pay I forgot I had ordered the egg roles. When the last one left there were 3 items not paid. And the owner gave him a hard time. One being my egg roles. I felt bad that this happened. But there was a huge group. They should have separated the orders. Also, it wasn't clear what they were bringing out. I ordered by pointing to the name of the item. She came out calling out numbers. Making it more confusing who had ordered what. I gave the money to the leader of the group. They need to figure out a better way to get the orders in. I will not return to this restaurant. read more

The first time I was here was 1999, then I moved and came back. Same food and same customer service. I always ordered the bbq, love seeing the food grilled in front on me!!! My gf loves the Bem Bem bop. I read a lot of negative review for this place - I feel like it is unfair. I have had their regular waitresses there. Indeed they do not speak english well, but going to a small foreign ma & pa restaurant, what do we all expect? I had the beef bulkekee and rice clay pot (the #18). It was basically seasoned beef on rice with an egg on top. The flavor overall was bland and the rice was burned to the bottom of the dish. A friend had the pork bulkekee, the #7 I believe, that tasted pretty good. The food came out fast, but we didn't really see the waitress again that. I've been told there are better Korean restaurant in the area. If I'm in the area, I may try something else on the menu, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat there. read more

Food is okay as well as the service. Our food came out well and the appearance of the interior was nice. It is a little more expensive per serving than other Korean restaurants in OKC metro area and the side dishes are scarce. It's never busy so you're sure to get a table quickly. Once it does get busy, I can tell the level of attention to their service will be reduced since I've only seen 1 waitress. read more

Spice pork belly is basically bacon with chili frosting. But the chopped beef in black sauce and pork in special sauce were much better. That being said, it's middle of the road for this place -- not worth $13 a plate. Happy to pay this when the dish is savory. read more

It looks like this Korean restaurant is the only one left in town. We went to two other locations and they're out of busy. There's only one server in this restaurant that take care of everyone in the restaurant. I think they just need to hire another person to help out. It was hard to get a hold of her. We ordered the short ribs. That is really good. The beef tofu soup is good. Fyi the soup came spicy already so do not ask for more spice otherwise it will be very, very, very spicy. The fried dumpings are good as well. The reason why I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars is because of the witness. She is not a good communication person. When i asked her that if she can make sure that the beef/tofu soup come spicy. She never told me that the soup is spicy already. At the end of the meal before we about to leave she decided to tell me that the soup came spicy already so when i mentioned to her to make sure that my soup come she decided to go back in the kitchen and told the chef to make it more spicy, spicy, spicy to the point that we can't even eat it. This place even though looking a little old,is where I always go back to whenever I crave Korean food,and I live in Edmond =D It's so worth the drive because I could taste that they do everything the authentic ways. Heads up servers are mostly Koreans so there might be a bit of language barrier,but that's nothing for me. Their ban-chan are very good,I usually asked for extra side of the omelette and they never charged me for it. Food are always excellent and very friendly service. This is my favorite Korean restaurant, the prices are reasonable and you get good quality food in good portions. The #15 bi bim bap is my favorite, the #12 beef bulgogi is really good too if you don't like veggies and just want meat and rice. If you get the 15, stuck with the clay pot, it's totally worth it. First if all, terrible service and long waiting on the foods!!!! I'll never be back!!! My friend and I got the beef bulgogi and the pork bulgogi. This waitress got our order all messed up and gave a chicken bulgogi instead of the pork one. So, we asked for the pork bulgogi that we ordered. She told us we can keep the chicken bulgogi and she gave us the pork bulgogi too. At the end, she charged us for the chicken bulgogi!!!! I was mad and trying to explain to her about the situation and she insisted it wasnt her fault for giving the wrong dish and charging us extra. I ended up paying extra and leave. I love this place! This is the real authentic Korean food! I would say this is one of the best Asian food in Oklahoma city. I find the waitress ladies are really nice, when I had the Ginseng chicken soup, one lady cut the chicken and told us the story about this soup that Korean people ate it at the hottest time in Summer. She looked really happy when we finish all the dishes! What make us more like her is she picked the chicken bones out of the trash plate whilst only left the beef bone in the plate when I told her I wanted to take the lefted bones for my dog. I'm half Korean and have been eating Korean food my whole life in many different states. This is the worst Korean restaurant I ate at so far. My family also agrees...I've gave it 3 chances to see if it gets better but the last chance I gave resulted in my daughter almost eating long hair that was inside the kimbap!! So disgusting..... Even if we never found hair in the food the quality sucks and they know it... They are catering to mostly non Korean people so they don't make it authentic and put effort into it. Sadly. Best meal I've ever had. I ordered the chicken pulkoki, my wife and daughter had the chap chae. The chicken was glazed with traditional pulkoki sauce, then grilled to perfection. Not to spicy or overpowering, but perfect. The chap chae was hands down the best I've ever had. All of the side dishes were incredible. Mung beans, spicy cucumbers, glazed potatoes, and kimchi that tastes like an ancient family recipe. It is a small, humble restaurant that obviously focuses on incredible food. A nice, quiet place. The food arrived quickly and service was great. I cannot say enough great things about my experience there today except to say that we live in Tulsa and will happily make the drive back just to enjoy the food again. read more

I give this Restaurant one star. It went down hill. The waitress was rude and didn't want to serve us. She seemed prejudice because my husband is Caucasian and I'm Korean. Anyhow. Finally, we got to sat at the table. She stood there not saying a word with a pen and her order tablet. I guess she's a mute. We asked for unsweet tea instead we got sweet tea. Okay. I asked the waitress for steam vegetable mandoo to start off with. She came back with fried mandoo instead of steam mandoo. Hmmm, I guess, she didn't understand what steam means. Oh well. Surprisingly, she spoke in poor English telling me I can't order cold noodle soup, it's seasonal. I almost fell off the seat. She can talk, oh my gosh! So, I ordered tofu stew instead. I was disappointed they don't serve cold noodle soup, I was craving for it. It took awhile to get our meal. My husband was not happy with his entrée, it was too greasy and a lot of fat and tendons in chicken cutlet. Overall, the service was not professional and the food was too old and gross. I return only because there is a lack of better Korean food in Oklahoma City. The food is fantastic, but the service is awful. It usually takes about 10 minutes before anyone ever even bothers to take your order... no drinks in that time either. I come to OKC for work every couple of months and make it a point to come here. For the price and food, it is just Yum. I wonder if the reviews are so so because of its location and venue. Since I'm rating on behalf of food, price and service I'm down for a 5. Service is great despite how busy they can get during lunch. I absolutely love Korean food. Korean house, Seoul garden, etc. I especially LOVE the appetizers before the food. B-Won's appetizers are... disgusting to me. I don't know what it is, everything was terrible. Also, I am a vegetarian, and when I went to order the Jap Chae, I asked for Tofu, instead of beef, and the waitress FLIPPED on me. She was telling me that it wouldn't taste right, blah... blah... blah. I explained I was vegetarian, but I don't think she understood so I just told her I was allergic to beef. So she finally gave me tofu. The Jap Chae was great with the tofu (as I knew it would be.) It was filling as well. Overall, besides the appetizers... the food was great. The reason for the 1 star though is because the service SUCKED. I have actually been 3 times (because of office lunches) and every time I just reject the appetizers, tell the waitress that I am allergic to beef, so I can finally get the tofu, and just ignore the terribly rude staff. I don't recommend this place. I rarely ever not leave a tip. I usually tip 20% or more, but for this place, I will leave a penny on the table. read more

Rude as heck server. It may have been a cultural difference. The prices seemed way high for what I was served. The quality seemed ok but I have never eaten Korean food before. I did not see my bill so I was not sure of what I paid for. I think I was charged extra for getting an extra soda and the soda were all 12 ounce cans. The thing that made feel grossed out was the fact that the server got the ice for our drinks out of a Coleman ice cooler she scooped the ice out with the drinking glass and topped it off with her hand. Ordered Sam Gyup Sal which is the thinly sliced pork belly to grill on our table. It came out frozen! Not slightly frozen or cold but frozen like ice. You could tell they tried to defrost it but some pieces were still stuck to each other. If you want to spend $30 on frozen meat then this is the place to go. read more

I have had better Korean food, this would not be my go-to place. Their chicken had a very smokey/burnt flavor. Their side dishes were alright, the potato was the best. The best main dish was the pork bulgogi. The Tteokbokki was also good. They use to fill their rice bowl up, but now they have cut the portion!
