There was only one young lady taking orders and working the register so it took her a min to come over. We got some drinks going and after they were delivered she took our order. The food came out in a timely manner and everything was very good. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. The spring rolls were crispy and tasty, my wontons were good and the broth and noodles hit the spot. The only issue I had was when paying the bill, this is a pet peeve of mine and doesn't reflect the food. I find it very disrespectful to charge your patrons a service charge to take credit cards, and 4 percent on top of it. If you're up in wahiawa stop by and enjoy the food but maybe bring cash.

Weighty plates, a couple of noodle and soups at reasonable prices with most items $14.50 - $15.50. Important: Vinegar is a part of all soy marinades (traditional alternative marinade of South Korea). This seasons the BBQ chicken, bulgogi, and the shoyu potatoes. it is very different from the usual "four choicee" local Korean spots for its lack of sweetness. It is not for everyone. The spicy pork is very well made. Spicy for sure. Great chili taste sweetened by carrots and onions mixed in the thick stir fry. Oily but delish. Very flavorful and meaty, meat jun. Equally flavorful, black pepper forward jap chae. Solid banchan with only mildly fermented kim chee. Super cute, friendly service from the moms. Go and you'll understand. Lots of free street parking. Authentically different and on the list of places to revisit while in Wahiawa.

We arrived around 1230 and there were only a couple other tables filled. The space has around 10 tables and it's very nice and cheery inside. We ordered pork pad Thai $15.59, chicken pad kee mow $15.59 and spring rolls, $12.99. The wait was not very long and the spring rolls came out first. There were 6 of them accompanied by lettuce, mint, cucumbers and a sweet sauce. The spring rolls were very tasty and had a good amount if filling. I loved eating it with the veggies. The pad Thai came out first and we dug in. It had really good flavor. Pad Thai is normally on the sweeter side and while this was sweet, it wasn't overly sweet. Next up the pad kee mow came out. The flavors are night and day compared to the pad Thai which is why I like it. The flavor was fantastic! The basil really stood out and it was just the right amount of spice. I love the wide noodles in the dish. My honey said he actually preferred my pad kee mow to his dish. The portions are big and we brought home half of each meal. The server was so nice and sweet. She even gave us a tarot tapioca pudding to go. I've never been a huge taro fan but omg this was delicious. It had a nice coconut flavor and there were chunks of taro it in. I would definitely eat that again. I'm so glad we stopped by and have finally found a Thai place close to home. Before we left we were already discussing what we'd eat next time we go. I adore burdock and lotus roots. This had good flavor although sweeter than I would have preferred, and the veg was way too soft. However, it was a large portion for $10.50 and tasted healthy and heart warming. Ambiance? Most people are ordering take-out here although there are several tables at which to eat. The place is immaculate with no dusty decor. The origami cranes hanging from the ceiling is a lovely touch. We enjoyed hanging out and eating here. The slice of pork was on the thicker side but it tasted a little salty which may have affected the broth as it was neither a hit or miss but right in the middle. Needless to say I ate all the noodles and left most of the broth. I woild give it 7 out of 10. The pan fried gyoza was good. The wrapping had a nice texture and chew stuffed with pork, onion, chives ginger and something else but it tasted good. 9 out of 10. Service was really good. My daughter loved the ramen, I enjoyed the gyoza and fried rice. We even had left overs to take home! They also have the CUTEST Hello Kitty bowls, cups, and spoons for kids. My daughter loved eating out of them. The 2nd time I got the curry katsu, gyoza, & ramen combo ($16.50). My daughter couldn't decide between ramen or curry so this combo was perfect! Since I'm a sucker for variety - and I hadn't eaten here in about 20 years - I also ordered the Mini Fried Saimin and Mini Korean Chicken. I love seeing each restaurant's take on these local favorites. Bill's Fish & Chips: WOW. The full order is HUGE! You get three giant pieces of cod over a mountain of shoestring fries. The fish was cooked beautifully - super crispy on the outside while staying moist and flaky inside. But oh Lord... it needed salt! The fries had a great crisp too, although they did have that darker, old-oil flavor that was a little hard to ignore. Since I'm a foodie who likes to come prepared, I happened to have lemon wedges with me lol!... and man, did that take the fish to another level. Hey, don't judge! (I'm pretty sure my family was embarrassed... but ask me if I care. Hahaha! Jk... kinda.) We all agreed that if they had simply salted the fish right out of the fryer, this would've easily been a 5 star dish. Mini Fried Saimin: Can we talk about that portion size for a mini?! It tasted like it may have been cooked earlier and then portioned out for my plate. The service was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and they packed everything securely. Our order was accurate, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food you get. They definitely have a great variety for a neighborhood plate lunch spot. Would we make the drive all the way from Ewa Beach just for this? Probably not. But if we're already in the area, we'd absolutely stop by again. One last heads up... if you're planning to dine in, be prepared to leave smelling like the fryer. Employee only asked if we would like extra meats. We were not offered any broth and water refills, or anything else. Not one employee removed our empty plates. When we were done, we're not given a check or check(s). We waited patiently at the register to pay for our meals. Can't stand people peeping in while walking past the entire restaurant. Best to open the door and look inside if there's open seating. Free parking located in the front and back of the restaurant. Smaller location. One restroom available for dine in patrons. Best highlight of the night was catching up in conversations and spending quality time with other moms.
