    Easy access

Stopped in early on a Sunday morning for a quick cup and was impressed from the moment I pulled in. Easy access, plenty of parking, and a team that actually greeted guests warmly instead of going through the motions. They had enough staff on the floor to handle the morning rush, which meant fast service without the usual bottlenecks. One of the baristas took a moment to walk me through their coffee varieties and made spot‑on suggestions based on what I typically enjoy. They also handled my allergy needs without hesitation -- something I always pay attention to. The mocha they recommended ended up being the best I've had in a long time. The shop was calm enough for people to get work done; several customers were already set up with laptops, and the atmosphere supported that without feeling stiff. Overall, a smooth, well‑run stop. I'll be back.

Great place with excellent coffee and tea options. I tried the vanilla chai latte and really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. The customer service is great, the service is very fast, and it's also a perfect place to get some work done thanks to the spacious environment.

My friends and I enjoyed this coffee spot!! It feels like a slightly modernized/Americanized version of a diverse shop (which isn't good or bad, just something I noticed)! The drinks were good! Service was great- we had a trainee on her first day so that was sort of cute to witness, lol. No issues. The ambiance is cute - again, I think speaking to this blend of cultures. I'd give it a shot to experience it!

Bright, open and cheerful setting. The menu has lots of fun options for breakfast and amazing coffees! They have a really unique coffee machine that they take care of and maintain despite the company going out of business. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I'm not sure why I've never been to many coffee shops in the city. Could it be because...I'm not really a coffee drinker? Yes, but I'm a squatter and coffee shops are the perfect place to sit and talk or do work, so I plan to visit more in the new year. I stopped by her recently with an old friend to catch up. The place is nicely decorated and felt very cozy. The workers were super friendly and patient while I tried to decide what I wanted to try. It was particularly warm this day, so I was leaning towards an iced beverage. I finally selected the iced creamy peach latte with oat milk. My friend selected regular warm apple cider. When my drink arrived and I tasted it, I instantly regretted my choice because it was not what I was expecting. I'm not even sure if I told them to add sweetener in it. As a novice coffee drinker, I should have went simple so this was at no fault of the shop or its workers. I ended up drinking some cold water that was found near the entryway on the counter. I had the nicest chat with one of the workers about the holiday and weather while I was pouring my water. My friend shared some of his apple cider with me (he's an avid coffee drinker) and I knew I should've ordered something similar. I enjoyed the vibes here and the atmosphere was very welcoming and laid back. Definitely try them out and sit and chat for a little while in their comfy seats.

Great Cortado! Great service! Great Orange roll! Was recently here on a Friday with my niece and mom. It was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait long for our order. I really liked the atmosphere as well. It was very relaxed and cozy for a rainy day. I was able to work a little bit while I was here as well. This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back. I love the dedicated parking spot available for customer's convenience!

For the beverages, it's my favorite local coffee shop. Their seasonal drinks are always creative & delicious, with house made syrups & unique spices. Friendly staff. Sometimes quite crowded inside because it's rather small, is the only downside.

Love a good, strong cold brew! The staff was welcoming and the patrons were kind too. The cafe is clean and so are the bathrooms. I really appreciated the family bathroom, equipped with a changing table! Hard to find changing tables at small businesses these days. Definitely coming back!

Found a new local favorite to add to the list of coffee shops for this area! I've been here 3 times, and each experience was great overall. During my first visit, I ordered a honey cinnamon latte (half sweet) and it was still a bit too sweet, but pretty good coffee overall. The woman who took my order was extremely sweet and welcoming! For the second visit, the guy who took my order wasn't very friendly, but the iced vanilla latte was perfection -- the espresso:milk ratio was perfect, the balance was very smooth, and it was the perfect level of subtle sweetness that I requested. Third visit -- the guy (different from second visit) who took our order was very friendly and gave helpful info when I inquired about buying beans. I ordered an iced vanilla latte again and it was smooth this time as well. Interior is cozy and has pretty good number of seats. Will be back!

I wanted to update my review with two recommendations. First, they have the best cinnamon rolls that you can find in Birmingham! So make sure you try them. Second, they have a coffee called Sahara Sands, and it is delicious such a good strong coffee with a sweet kick.

Great atmosphere, outstanding service and my order was on point, I will be coming back to get more delightful experiences.

What makes it even sadder in the case of Santos, is they tried to make the exterior a little more enjoyable by putting some nice tables and even a swing outside. Sadly, without any plants separating the area from the parking lot, the entire vibe of this coffee shop, both looking out from inside and sitting outside is not that great. But, vibe aside, let's talk about how it got here. Santos is a family owned small chain. The main owner, Wendy Madden, opened the first coffee shop in 1993 in Tuscaloosa and since expanded into Santos Coffee we know today. The establishment pays homage to Guatemalan saints and ancestral lands where coffee is sourced from, from family's original plantations. The beans are roasted in Birmingham after being imported from Guatemala. The coffee is absolutely excellent here. Seriously, a very tasty latte. Oddly, they do not have an option to get it in a mug, so there is no way to avoid the plastic coating and the flimsy paper cups. Also there wasn't even a design on top of the latte...but ok, maybe that's slightly picky to highlight. Thus, Santos as a whole is a good coffee shop for to go orders. With excellent coffee quality, this is where they really shine. With that said, the vibe and serving methods need work.

When you get to the light at the corner of 31 and Pelham Park Blvd, just look to the right and you'll see a quaint little white building. Behind it is the Pelham Public Library which looms over Bullet and to the other side of Bullet is Edgars Bakery. As mentioned BC has been there about a year now. The other BC is on 280 and there's one more in Fairhope. All are owned by the same individual who also owns their sister store the Red Mountain Expresso. BC is not technically another "pop up" coffee place because this is actually a brick and concrete building albeit it's just big enough to be a full service drive thru, but it doesn't have any seating inside or out. Just a drive thru. The drive-thru is planned nicely so it's easy to get to the order window then around to the pickup/pay window. Their menu options long and diverse but also typical of any coffee place. They also serve fresh daily sausage biscuits and pimento cheese biscuits. They have specialties like the Turtle latte, Classics like cold brew, blended drinks like frappes and non coffee drinks like iced teas and chai. I was lucky today because they are in middle of running a special called Frappy Hour good for another week. From 3-6pm all medium frappes are $2! I tried the Java Chip and Cookie & Cream. She asked me if I wanted the "coffee" or "milk" based. The coffee is the traditional way but the milk would be more like a milkshake. I chose coffee. I didn't get whipped cream which was offered. I only had to wait a couple minutes after paying. She even gave me a frequent visitor card. Get 10 drinks, get the 11th free! The cookies and cream was good, but the java chip was even better. Nicely blended, cool and refreshing on this warm afternoon. Yom Yom Yom Yom. It hit the spot! Welcome to Pelham BC!

I tried the iced Aden latte (espresso, milk, pistachio and lavender) and it's the best coffee off of lakeshore. None of the flavors were overpowering the others. I also ordered a biscoff crepe and a sabaya. The sabaya was flaky and crispy, smothered in delicious honey. It wasn't the thickest sabaya but I enjoyed it! The biscoff crepe was so decadent. The crepe itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture for such a delicious crepe. The fruit given with it also paired well with the drizzled sauce. I originally wanted to sit outside since the weather was so nice, but ended up sitting inside. Next time I'll try to get there earlier to grab an outdoor spot. I am not talking croissants on croissants or muffins on muffins, I mean everything on top of each other which also makes me feel like options for people with allergies may be limited. The staff were really kind and the barista suggested 2% or almond milk as alternative options for me which was very kind but just not my favorite. The interior and outdoor seating are very cute. They have mini prints and larger prints for sale. I really think the larger prints would make a great locally made present! Ultimately, I don't think this is my spot due to dietary restrictions but it might be good spot for you.
