Went to this place during WrestleMania weekend. This was not on the list of stops but a happy discovery. Rashad had us go to one restaurant that was not good and I posted that review last week. He also wanted to go to Super Chix put that particular place was not open yet (it is on Hwy 280) and we didn't find that out until we got there. However we came across what we hoped would be a happy alternative because right next to the closed restaurant is a place called Cookie Fix. We said well since we are here let's try this place. This instantly became what I like to call a happy accident. Upon arrival we are greated with all smiles from the employees. We felt very welcomed. Once you walk in if you look to your right you will find that their signature cookie dough is for sale and you can take their dough home and bake it anytime. They also sell drinks as well. They had all types of cookies you could get that were already baked and ready to go. I kept it simple and just bought a chocolate chip cookie. At first glance I figured the cookie would be dry and hard but I was wrong. This cookie had a great crunch on the outside and soft on the inside and the chocolate was so melty and ooey gooey and that little bit of salt on top gave it a near perfect balance. This cookie gets a 8.9/10 from me and I recommend you get your cookie fix at Cookie Fix!

The cookies here are hands down delicious! I did a toffee pecan one, and it was amazing. The other was a salted caramel one where the flavor was perfect. Each cookie was not too sweet, just right. I'm definitely going back.

I love Cookie Fix! They have some of my favorite cookies! This location is super pretty with the striped pink awning. There were so many delicious cookie varieties, it was hard to choose. We came here close to closing time so I only saw one girl working. I ended up getting the Brown Sugar Blondie. It was so yummy! They have plenty of patio seating so that's where we sat and enjoyed our cookies.

Three different cookies two of them are Sammie

Went in nice staff, got three different cookies came to about $14 all three cookies was soft. Got two different Sammie with the icing inside made them sweeter. Inside was basic. They had day old cookies by the boxes (random in box) for 1/2 off.

I came here with my sister after hearing so many great things about Cookie Fix. The place is next to Super Chix so it's so a nice spot to grab dessert. The place is very clean, cookies full display, and many varieties. We came later and didn't realize they were closing early so cookies, I wanted to try wasn't available. The ones I did pick, I didn't like as much but my sis did like her cookies. I'm going to try to get there before they choose to get a better variety. If you love cookies and on 280, definitely come out to this spot.

There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

The young girl making the coffee was loudly talking about someone who messed up their coffee order this morning and how frustrated she was. The only other employee was occupied with what seemed a large order of bread etc. When she finished what she was doing she looked at the now five customers, claustrophobically waiting, and said I'll be right back and disappeared. Leaving the one guy serving the one customer. It was 11:30 am on a rainy day. Figured I could do without a cream cheese croissant and coffee and left. Had already waited 5 as the only other person in there and did not want to wait another undetermined amount of time. I know one of the bakers. It's a shame the front has been so bad these last two times.

The space itself is beautiful--clean, intentional, and unique--with visual nods to milling and baking traditions. You can see elements of the mill and wheat motifs in the background, which adds a quiet sense of craftsmanship and history without feeling staged. The pastries are exceptional. Their croissants are perfectly flaky and buttery, the sourdough is deeply flavorful, and the morning buns strike that ideal balance of richness and warmth. The baguette is crisp on the outside, tender inside--everything you want it to be. Every item feels carefully made, never rushed. What stands out most is the consistency and care. Breadworks manages to feel elevated yet welcoming--refined without being pretentious. It's clear they take pride in both their craft and their process, and it shows in every bite. A true standout in Birmingham and absolutely worth returning to.

Soon as you walk in, you see packaged desserts in both full cakes and slices. They had several King Cakes, so we immediately decided to split a slice. Decided that first before what we're actually eating. #priorities Last time I ate here, I got the Chicken Quesadilla and it was so good. But a couple of my coworkers got the Marilyn Monroe, a sandwich with "turkey, pepperoni, mozzarella & marinara sauce on cheddar bread". So I went with that this time, same as my coworker. Concept here is that you order at the counter, they give you a number to display on your table, then another server will bring your order. Service was fast. The sandwich looked a bit small at first, but it was stacked with turkey and pepperoni, so the portion size was actually just right. It comes with marinara sauce on the side for dipping, which is good, because it keeps the sandwich from being too messy, but it was a bit odd because it was cold, in combination with the warm sandwich. I kinda wish the sauce had been warmer. It comes with a bag of chips and your choice of another side, which I chose fruit. I don't care for melon, so I picked around that and ate the grapes out. Next time I might get another side. And finally... it was King Cake time. We had picked a cream cheese slice and it was SO good. Had a cinnamon taste mixed in, but to be fair, this was my first King Cake so I actually have no idea what to compare it to. This dessert made me so happy. Two things I need to figure out: why is this sandwich called the Marilyn Monroe and when can we eat here again.
