Only thing is $17 for the little meat can be improved somehow. Definitely recommended place when in the area. Perhaps next time I would try the Shawarma and I will share my feedback.

I have been coming here for several months now and it seems like I go more and more often. The food is very savory and delicious. I usually get a plate with rice, hummus, salad and two skewers. The chicken as well as the steak are packed with flavor and the meat is always juicy. I've introduced this place to my coworkers and we eat Baba K 2-4 times a weeks now, it has become a minor addiction. The flavors are consistent and I always feel extremely satisfied when I finish eating. The portions are generous so if you have small eating habits then i'd recommend a plate with one skewer. This is a family owned business from what I can see, and it appears that English is not their first language. I would recommend being very clear with your order and be nice to the staff they do their best despite their language barrier. I do not have a personal relationship with the owners or staff, I just happen to go here a lot and finally decided to write a review! Definitely recommend this place! read more

I've just tried Baba K for the first time today, and i gotta say i've read a couple reviews that did not really bring up the place but gave it a shot of my own. The food is absolutely amazing, i've had the chicken shawarma (Baba K way) they wrap it in a different type of bread and toast it, also i've had the filet mingon skewer and asked for well done, the food came out perfect and the filet mignon was very juice. Brought back some taste of home! The humus was delicious and very close to how it tastes back home. I most certainly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon to try out the rest of the menu. They have some really exciting dishes to check out! The crew was very outgoing and friendly and made sure i had all the utensils i needed. Good job everyone, best meal i've had at HCM so far. Will be back for sure! read more

This restaurant reminded me of the food I had when I was in the Middle East. It is apparent that the owner takes great pride in his restaurant. The menus is very detailed and the food is FRESH EVERY TIME! I came here the first week and have been here every week since. I don't mind making this a weekly occurrence for good, fresh and authentic food. One could appreciate the food that is made to order. I order the falafel plate, chick and beef shawarma. It turns out perfectly EVERY TIME! I cannot wait to see the ultimate success of this business. You can tell that the owner cares about his customers! I have been dining at this restaurant since the Haven Food court opened. I enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the owners and employees. It is a family that prepare the food to your family, like mom and pop place. I also enjoys catering for business events and holiday gathering for our staff. I came yesterday with a friend and ordered the combo for two as you can tell from the picture the portions are very generous and the kabobs are phenomenal. The last 3 times though, bowl is very skimpy and missing several ingredients. Today's half empty bowl was my last straw. Also, most of the time when you walk in to pick up, you'll stand there and be ignored till someone decides to give you your order. What's the point of the giant pickup shelf if you're going to keep to-go orders behind the counter? The food is decent and a healthier option than most places but this location isn't worth it.
