two pieces of sushi on a white plate

The food was so good! Service was a little slow, we weren't able to get refills on waters for a while, but the food was just so good! The drinks were also quite good! The gluten free options were slightly limited (a lot of their specialty rolls had tempura in them), but they had gluten free soy sauce! The sensory experience was great, it wasn't too loud and the tables weren't too close together, and there were plenty of options for simple possible safe foods, so I would say it is autistic approved!

Our party of four (plus an eight-month-old) were getting very hungry as we finished walking around Sturbridge Village. We hoped to dine outside on this beautiful day, and after Yelping the options in Sturbridge, we selected Baba Sushi (there is also a Baba Sushi in Worcester, which is pronounced "Woostah" if you're indigenous to the area!). It was quiet at Baba, as we arrived too late for lunch and too early for dinner, so we scored a great table on their beautiful porch. Though the porch does face Route 20, we didn't find the noise to be problematic. For our appetizers we ordered Gyoza (very good, but not very hot), Vegetable Tempura (very tasty) and Edamame which was also good. We also tried the Kani Salad and the Sashimi Tartare. Both were very good, and the tartare was an impressively large portion of salmon and tuna sushi with avocado and mango. It supposedly included caviar, but I failed to see any in the dish. And we sampled the Salmon Sashimi, a Peacock Maki Roll and Sushi Sandwich Roll. The Salmon Sashimi was very good, and though I was not a fan of the Peacock Roll, another diner greatly enjoyed it. The Sushi Sandwich Roll was good, but not outstanding. The Tryaki Chicken was tender and tasty and the Fried Rice was light and nicely prepared. All the diners (except the eight-month-old who was more interested in dropping things on the floor than participating in a Yelp review discussion) thought Baba deserved four-stars for this visit. Service was excellent throughout the dinner, and we'd be happy to revisit Baba Sushi.

I've been to this location, twice. The parking is valet, and they ask for cash tips or venmo. The walk in front of the building is beautiful. Positives- I've only been here for Hot Pot, Sushi, and Appetizers. The Vegetable Platter in the Party of 2 is a huge portion for two people, the sushi is wonderful, It is easy to customize your options, and the staff is very nice. Negatives- It's expensive, and I don't think the desserts are worth the cost. The smaller tables are not enough room for all of the toppings, vegetables and meats (server had to bring us a tray to use beside our table). It took about 45 minutes for us to even receive any part of our order both times and it was not that busy.

Always the freshest most tasteful ingredients. Service is always with a smile and you are treated like a VIP. Hot pot is the most reasonably priced.

Went here for our anniversary and it was a total blast! We did the hot pot and it was so interactive and fun. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back.

    deluxe for 2 meats

We ordered the deluxe hotpot for 2, but it was more than enough for our family consisting of 3 adults and a teen. Our server, Anthony, was so friendly and patient explaining how to do everything and all the various choices. It was a delicious and fun experience! Compared to other places I researched, this was the most reasonably priced hotpot place around and it did not disappoint at all! Will definitely be back.

My favorite place to eat in Sturbridge. The bacon wrapped filet is the best steak you will ever have.

Service is good. Food is good. The ambiance is excellent. The prices are a bit high (slightly overpriced) I will return but sparingly.

For our appetizers, we are having the cucumber salad and vegetable dumplings. Like most hot pot places, they have a sauce bar and niece a new mini bar with fruit, salad and friend items. Complementary ice water is immediately served. The cucumbers are crunchy and delicious! I actually liked the vegetarian dumplings! Well, with a little soy sauce, of course! For my first drink, I'm having their world famous (well, I love it) Stateside Lychee Martini. We use Grey Goose. They make it with Bella Spritz Elderflower Liqueur and fresh lychees. This is filled to the rim! I love the fresh lychees! This is good! For my soup bases, I'm having the Chengdu Hot & Spicy soup made with bay leaves, fennel, Szechuan peppers, chili peppers, star aniseed, scallion and ginger. I'm also having the ChongQing Butter Pot. This is going to be a hot and spicy meal. They do have plenty of vegetarian options. The sushi was good btw. For my next drink, I'm having a French Martinj made with Tito's Handmade Vodka (Goose for us), Chambord and a splash of pineapple juice. This is cutely garnished and tastes great! For dessert, I am having the Coppa Pistacio which is custard gelato swirled with chocolate and pistachio gelato topped with praline pistachios. This is ice cold and yummy! For my last drink, I'm having Mango Martini made with Absolut Vodka (Grey Goose for us), Cointreau, mango syrup, and a splash of pineapple and cranberry juice. Once again, it is nicely garnished and tastes the best! What a great time here!

The menu is online, viewable by scanning the QR code in your booth, and at the end then you pay at the cashier not through the website. We each ordered the mini hotpot with two broths and got a table full of meats and veggies and even ordered a second round of meat (in hindsight, that was too much and we weren't able to finish it all). The sauce bar was fully stocked, and the ingredients were fresh. The bowls and spoons were a bit hard to find though and I had to ask for a staff member for help. The fruit bar was a bit empty, but there was enough for a dessert. The wait staff was very friendly, though they kept forgetting to refill our water, and we kept asking them about it. Overall, a great experience!

The quality is above average, something I've had a hard time finding recently with AYCE establishments. Service is great. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we got all our rounds in, even though we were dining close to closing. I didn't feel rushed out whatsoever and appreciated how the portions are reasonably sized. They don't overcrowd the table and make you more mindful of how much you'll order next. The individual pots are a huge plus for me. Everyone gets their own broth to cook whatever they want within close reach. The DIY sauce bar is only icing on the cake! Shabu will fill you up, especially on a cozy winter night. If you're looking for the best season to try, though I'd argue shabu always hits year round, take this cold RI winter to give this place a go.

Amazing Korean Food!!!…read more I dropped by here because I had an errand to run around here and I'm sooo glad I did. Everything was so delicious. I got the: -Korean Wings: crispy, flavorful juicy wings. I would definitely order this again. -Black Bean Noodles: I've had this at so many restaurants but this one takes the number one spot. The noodles were cooked so perfectly and they didn't skimp on the vegetables/pork in the sauce. Every bite was so enjoyable. I could order 2 of these for myself!! -Beef Bibimbap: I like how they give you the sauce to pour on by yourself. The beef was very tender and flavorful. -Banchan (side dishes) were yummy! I'm pretty sure the kimchi was made in house, it tasted so fresh and not extra salty like the prepackaged ones. The fish cakes and spicy cucumber were my second favorites. The thing I've always liked about LaMei is that they always have fresh options. For AYCE the portions are pretty good. I wasn't expecting to get as much as I did for an order, so something to think about when placing orders. Sometimes you might get a couple of lonely mushrooms or 3 green leaves for a serving of Bok Choy. That was not the case here. The fish and meats were fresh and if you opt for the VIP option, there are appetizers included to nibble on while you cook your other stuff. You also get some more premium options and the hand pulled noodles had a nice chew to them. The service was good. They were efficient with cleaning plates as we used them and the food came out quickly. The sauce station has all the staples you'd expect to assemble your sauce. The AYCE option makes things a bit more affordable, but even if you don't use it, the fresh food will make it worthwhile.
