I have been visiting Baba sweets from long time. They started with humble infrastructure and recently expanded. Their forte is the quality of food, which is excellent and no match to any sweet shop nearby. They are very reasonably priced and very nice to talk with. Their infrastructure is clean and aptly decorated. Recently, I ordered sweets for the marriage of my niece,. Everyone loved it and even the guests who came from India took with them. They now serve food every day except Monday which is very good for Indian community in the valley, I wish them all the success. read more

There is nothing about this place that isn't phenomenal -- the food is SO GOOD, the service is excellent, and the price is very affordable. Normally I'd offer specific recommendations, but I've tried nearly everything they have and it's all incredible. If you've never had Indian food, I'd say start with the shahi paneer and the channa masala on the savory side, and then the gulab jamun and ladoo for dessert. I have discovered a jewel in the very hood I live in! I pass this place everyday on my way to work. And everytime I look over at this very unassuming place, I tell myself, I gotta try that someday...well today was the day! The place was hoppin', and I filed in line not knowing what kind of treat I was in for. A small sign read, One, Two or Three items; priced accordingly. I chose "Three", (for the potential risk factor). The tall handsome Indian gentleman looked at me kindly, and asked what I wanted. I said, "I have no idea, surprise me!" He put the most unbelievable meal together I have had in a long time, and my $7 combo was "over the the top" outstanding food. Best Indian sweets shop in southern California without a doubt! If you go Friday- Sunday they have entrees that you can buy like paneer and Shola. With naans and pakora as well. My family and I have gone here for the better part of the last two years, typically as often as 2-4 times per month. This is the single best Indian restaurant my family and I have been to, EVER. The reason is not only because of their rich, flavorful vegetarian dishes, their reasonable prices, or even their incredible selection of freshly made pastries. It's more than that: The entire family--Harman (the son who is pretty much the face of the business), his parents and his grandparents--are all very kind, gracious, and warm. They always make you feel so welcome, like you're a part of their family. Their food is made with love and every one of them has a unique generosity of spirit. Although our family doesn't get to go to Baba's as often as we'd like these days due to some family health problems, we seize the moment whenever we can. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is everything you want in a business you patronize. The prices are fair, the food is fresh, the people are wonderful, and the smiles are sincere. In a world where rudeness and poor service seem to have become the norm, you can't help but admire this family and the humble kindness and patience they show to all of their customers. Over the last couple years, my family and I are most grateful for the many great experiences we have had enjoying the amazing food and delectable pastries at this family-owned restaurant . The food was actually really good, I thought we got butter chicken but I think it was tofu. A little spicy but very tasty. The servers don't tell you what is actually in the food, there aren't any descriptions and they are not very friendly. I felt very uncomfortable as the atmosphere was very unpleasant and unfriendly. I went back to order some sweets and after I payed for them, the guy at the register didn't even hand them to me. He just left it on top of the counter with some other boxes so I didn't know which was mine. He just walked away and I didn't want to open someone else's order. I would love to come back because the food was delicious, but everyone including the customers stared at us like we were circus freaks or something so I don't think I would feel comfortable coming back. If you're looking for some good North Indian (Punjabi) style sweets this is the place to go. Their milk cake is the best milk cake I've found in SoCal. They restaurant is clean and the service is great. I drove about 2.5 hours in traffic each way to buy my husband sweets for this birthday - that's how good this place is. This place is really great! The food is always fresh, yummy and you really get a lot for your money. I was happy to find a local Indian restaurant that didn't have the usual restaurant items, but instead had more of a home cooked taste to it. They also sell Indian sweets and snacks that are authentic. Most of the people eating here are Indians, so that is a good sign of the food quality. The workers are friendly and sweet! read more
