We have been 3 times now. The food has been consistently good. Pretty much everything we have tried has been great. The meatballs are delish! So why the low rating? With the exception of our first visit the service has been mediocre. I realize staffing is a challenge and I am pretty patient but when the server says "oh I forgot your ..." the still never brings it I think that is an issue. I know it's still a fairly new restaurant but I hope things get better soon because we really do enjoy the food. read more

Our server was awesome, and they even hooked us up and placed us in the back sitting area away from everyone so we could enjoy our party of 12 in peace and quiet. I'm not even sure how to start this. Disappointing would be being nice. Wife and I decided to order 3 items since I have never eaten in one of their locations. Wife did once. We ordered a Sicilian pizza (so burnt and greasy. Fired pie or mod pizza does this 10 times better and for a better price)! One of the many pasta dishes( tasteless, it's presentation was beautiful but that was short lived once you tasted it. The Pasta Factory in downtown Avondale is 100 times better) Sausage sandwich which could have been good but looked like a 2 year old threw it on a plate. They cut sausage up like you were serving a 2 year old. I don't think it was even one whole piece of sausage. Not nearly enough meat, bell peppers or cheese to call this a sandwich. I would put this as the worst Italian sausage sandwich I have ever had. Service-- the hostess was young and nice but seem a little frustrated. Our server was nice but no personality. She didn't seem to give 2 shits about the food. All she said was I'm sorry 5 times. A server with pride would have never brought the pizza to our table! She did remove it from the bill though. She was never rude or anything along those lines. Just kind of there. Decor- the build out is very beautiful including the out door waiting area. Ordered Chicken Parmesan was delivered to our table within 5 minutes of taking the order. The chicken was obviously sitting for a while very dry and only had a couple of shreds of mozzarella on it. My husband and I tried Babbo for the first time yesterday and we will not be back. Firstly, the bread was raw in the middle. We sent it back only to receive bread that was somehow both raw and burnt. The salads tasted fine but our main dish came out while we were still eating them. We were served three courses in something like 15 minutes. I felt rushed and it made the bottle of while we'd ordered seem pretty stupid given a glass or less would have sufficed with the speed. My actual pasta dish was a watery undercooked bolognese. Went to this Babbo in goodyear last nite with granddaughter. First the service was terible infact every server looked and walked around like zombies. No excitement at all. Food was just ok. Hello Yelpers! I'm really wish I could say I took my son to a nice dinner tonight but it was an extremely poor experience. Now I used to LOVE this place. The portions are generous and overall food used to be delicious. Not the case tonight. Hostess: I arrived and checked in and the hostess gave off a very rude vibe. As if I was bothering her by being there. This sadly was not the first time I've experienced this hostess being this way. I actually started getting food To Go because I had experienced the hostess being rude several times before. Server: We sit down and the menus were filthy greasy. The server seemed nice at first but she took our order and only returned for the check. I mean, I really felt that she didn't want to serve us. I had to ask surrounding servers to get a straw, refills and napkins. I saw our server tending to other tables but didn't bother with ours. I left feeling like I was less than because of the way she ignored us. I'm not one for confrontation but my money is just as good as anyone else's. Maybe she thought I wasn't going to tip well, idk but it was a horrible experience. The food: I used to love the food here. Tonight it actually made me sick. The broccoli tasted old or like it may have been freezer burn. My son loved his spaghetti and meatballs so at least he was happy. The bread was burnt and cold. It sucks because I used to really like this place. Overall: I feel this place should really coach their servers/wait staff. It's kinda pricey which I don't mind paying because the portions are great but the service was so poor I'm not going to make the mistake of dining here again. read more

Our server Ruben was amazing! He was spot on with our service. The drink menu amazing and equally served well too. The food was delicious we ordered the eggplant with pink sauce(the eggplant was breaded and over fried leaving the eggplant gooey and the outer layer hard and too crunchy) the noodles were flavorful and sauce cooked to perfection. Also ordered was the creamy pesto pasta and it was also cooked to perfection loads of flavors. We had homemade focaccia bread (we took home an order it was so moist and flavorful )served at our table with balsamic and oil. It was off the chain! We took home lemon cannoli's of which they offered three flavors, it was so good! This is a hidden gem best kept secret I hate to blurt out but too good not to eat here. The room was amazing. One could have a wedding reception and have excellent photo opportunities this place is just beautiful inside. I highly recommend coming in you won't regret it! Wow! Just bad. Really bad. Ordered a cosmo martini. It came out green because of the apple juice used in making it. To say the bartenders have zero clue is a compliment. Food was fine on prior visits. No need to believe otherwise on this visit. But, I would be wrong. This place is already going down hill as I had my head over a toilet later that evening ready to upchuck the clearly bad shrimp used in my pasta dish. Seems they don't date post their proteins. The restraunt was busy; however, we didn't wait very long to be seated, and our menus and drinks arrived immediately. The menu at Baboo is quite expansive, so allow time to look it over. There is something to satisfy everyone's appetite. Our server even gave us suggestions based on our preferences. On this visit we shared the calzone with sausage, mushroom, and spinach, Alfredo supremo, spaghetti and meatballs, a simple salad and a mojito. All of our entrees were delicious. It was in a pool of olive oil for something I could replicate better for $3. Speaking of calories, it would be a massive service to include the calorie count on the menus. They need replacing anyway, they all appeared water damaged and worn. For $14 I feel scammed and disappointed. That isn't even including the tip. I'm not surprised that you refuse to pay your workers a living wage when you're okay with scamming the common folk. Babbos catered our wedding 5 years ago so we were excited for this new location in Goodyear to open. We went on a Friday night and expected it to be busy so we called early to see about getting a reservation for 8. My husband told them we would have 4 kids so a table out of the way would be ideal. We couldn't have had a better experience! Our table was in a room with no other guests around. This was great for our toddler who is still learning how to readjust to post Covid social life. Our servers were Danielle and Tatum who were amazing! They were very attentive even with having other tables in the main restaurant. Both were super patient with all of the kids and made sure we had plenty of bread to hold them over until dinner came. The food was just as incredible as we had remembered and the portions were very large. All of the food tasted freshly prepared. My husband had the chicken parm sandwich and a meatball sandwich because he thought one wouldn't be enough. Turns out he was wrong! The sandwiches are HUGE! I had the pasta primavera with shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and not rubbery. The kids Mac and cheese is like a gourmet Mac and cheese and my kid devoured it. We will definitely be back! read more

It was my party of 5's first visit to this restaurant and it exceeded my expectations, especially after reading some of the reviews. We had a great experience. 1) we were greeted and seated in less than 5 minutes of entering the restaurant (it was 4pm on a Wed). 2) Our booth table was roomy and comfortable for 5 adults. 3) we were given our menus, notified about happy hour specials and asked for our drink orders. 4) drinks were delivered in a timely manner and our orders were taken. 5) All orders were delivered and correct. 6) everyone enjoyed their food and all would visit again. The menu is neither Olive Garden or a Pomo, and l liked that. They offer something different than what I would consider the American Italian or the more Authentic Italian. The mushroom was really spicy ( which was fine) but it smelled and tasted mostly like balsamic vinegar which I'm sure is a main ingredient. Absolutely disappointing!!! We took family from out of town here last night. Food was cold and extremely expensive for the poor quality. Pasta wasn't cooked, orders were made incorrectly! So embarrassing to have our guests sitting waiting for their orders to be corrected while the rest of the table is eating. The waitress felt terrible and manager through in 2 of our 3 desserts because the waitress was embarrassed. I don't mind paying high prices for excellent quality! This place isn't it. You are better off going to Olive Garden down the street for piping hot food, salad and breadsticks for way less $. $400 for 9 people and people in our party went home and ate a sandwich because they were hungry.
