    Minestrone soup

After a cold rainy drive we walked from our hotel to Babes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff friendly and efficient. We wanted something warm and stated with the minestrone soup. Arrived lukewarm and had minimal vegetables. I've had better at Olive Garden. We split a Utica steak sandwich which was described like a Philly cheesesteak. Meat was tender but not much of it and few onions and peppers. Very disappointing.

First time in Utica. I was there for a training session and we all took a field trip up to Babe's a few couple of hours of relaxation and camaraderie. Being a day of perfect weather we were all looking forward to the relaxation time. Easy to get to and very easy access off the main road. We moved a few tables together, opened a couple of umbrellas and ordered some drinks. This was, without a doubt, such a comfortable place to hang out at. Plenty of room, perfect weather and comfortable seating was great Our throughly delightful waitress took drink orders to get us started, then gave us a few minutes to order some appetizers. Simply said "We had everything." wings, Tenders, Nachos and anything else we could find. Service was great and our waitress paid close attention to our table to make sure that we were all ok. I recommend this place to all for a dinner or if you're just going through Utica. KUDO's to the Team at Babes.

We had a blast! Food - really tasty. We had a Benedict, bangin cauliflower, French onion soup, salad, and tortellini. The bangin cauliflower was the star! Drinks- bottomless mimosas was only $11, and cocktails outside(whisky smash and frose) was super refreshing. Service- thank you to all the staff that helped us. Hailey the host, Verona and Laura our servers, Nicole the manager. Y'all rally mad our experience special. Super attentive, friendly, and professional. Vibe- inside it had a diner feel and outside had a really nice space. There was live music and a lovely patio setup with cornhole.

Amazing pepperoni and mushroom with a nice Southern IPA (who knew they made those in the South...?! )

Amazing pizza, good beer, great service! Very nice and attentive server. OMG, Yelp wants 85 characters...come on auto-bots...figure it out!

Food was ok. Service was good. Maybe just caught them at off times - I was there about an hour before closing.

He mentioned it is the second oldest pizzeria in America, so I had to check it out. I'm so glad I did. This is a really cute, community-oriented spot with a warm and welcoming feel. I ordered a small pizza, but "small" definitely does not feel small here. It was actually a great size. More importantly, the pizza was super fresh and extremely delicious. What stood out just as much as the food was how kind everyone was. As someone visiting from out of town, I really appreciated how warm and friendly the people were. It also felt like the kind of place that would be great for hosting a casual party or gathering. Highly recommend. If you're in Utica, this is definitely a place you need to try.

I have been coming to this establishment for far too many years to admit to and it never disappoints. Not much has changed here over the years other than the prices. They have been around for over a 110 years. The restaurant is nothing fancy and most of their business is take out but to me nothing beats one of their fresh out of the oven pies with their gooey cheese on the bottom and crispy crust. On a warm summer night you can find me sitting outside at their picnic table enjoying a fresh hot pie.

Their Utica Greens are good, but different than your typical Utica Greens. Chicken breast in spicy brandy sauce was very good. Get it over pasta same sauce next time. Vodka Riggies with Filet was great. Chicken soup was fantastic. Large bowl full of chicken. Parking is their private lot. Place is large but dated. Part of the charm. Would recommend and will return. However, upon entering, you'll find a classy and classic Italian decor with a well-thought-out layout that creates smaller, more intimate spaces. It's definitely a place where you could bring parents, coworkers, or that special someone for a nice meal. The service was excellent (I believe the young lady's name was Alma). My veal parmigiana was tender, perfectly cooked, nicely sauced, and covered with just the right amount of cheese. The side salad was average in terms of content and presentation, but the balsamic dressing was quite good. The garlic bread had a nice flavor and texture as well. While I didn't have a chance to try any drinks, there is a full bar on-site. Overall, I'd be happy to eat there again, but stop on in and see what you think.
