The menu has plenty of options to customize your burger, and one thing I thought was unique is that you fill out a paper order form with all of your toppings before handing it to the staff to place your order. We chose to sit on the pet-friendly patio with our dog, Luna, which was great until a surprise downpour rolled in. The patio tables have umbrellas, but they weren't enough to keep us (or our food) dry. We ended up grabbing the condiments and finishing our meal in the car instead. Obviously, the weather isn't their fault, but a little more covered seating would have been nice. I also would have loved to see Thousand Island dressing offered as a condiment--it would have been perfect on my burger. Fresh avocado as an add-on would have been another great option to take it to the next level. Overall, it's a fun, casual burger spot with good food, a dog-friendly patio, and friendly service. I'd definitely stop by again if I was in the Golden area.

I said it was the best burger I ever ate. My husband, whose hobbies include crushing joy with logic, said, "No it wasn't. It was an ordinary burger. You only think it's amazing because you almost died." Had to settle that debate, so we tried it without the kill-me-hike warmup this time. Food I don't like my burgers swimming in their own juicy filth. And these burgers are dry, juicy, beefy, and didn't almost drown in their own fat. Even the bun (brioche, I think) stayed dry as summer heat. Plus, their fries are that kind that almost seem battered. Crisp on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We also tried the deviled eggs, which was a nice update to an old classic. Atmosphere This is perfectly casual with outdoor dining (great for dogs). Big umbrellas and coverage from the summer sun. I've never eaten inside because why. Service Perfectly competent. Nobody gave us a pony. Nobody accidentally set us on fire. The food arrived quickly, while the check took its own scenic route through the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. No complaints. Value Expensive burgers at $18-22 each. But I only have burgers a few times a year, so when I do, I'm going to demand one of these from now on.

I love huckleberry and will always get it if available and this did not lead me astray. We started with crab dip which was a hit even with our baby. For the mains, my husband got the meatloaf platter and was obsessed. I had their specialty burger (a mix of beef and elk) that included arugula, goat cheese, jam and some onions - also top notch. To finish things off we got chocolate raspberry cheesecake and... Wow. Delectable. If it's not obvious, the food here is epic and I love the concept and theme. My son had the barbecue wings and they were very good. They had been smoked instead of just thrown in the fryer which was a nice touch. The blue cheese chips were really good as were the fish and chips. We had it with cod. Oh my goodness Yum next time my way to give the cheese ball a skip because it just wasn't my thing, but I knew that going in my husband wanted to try it though

We each enjoyed a glass of La Crema Chardonnay ($13) and shared the Three Amigos appetizer ($13), which comes with tortilla chips, house queso, guacamole, and roasted tomato-jalapeño salsa, along with the Corn and Butternut Enchiladas ($17). At first, I thought the house queso was a little too spicy for my taste, but it quickly grew on me--I couldn't stop dipping chips into it! It was rich, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The guacamole and salsa were also fresh and tasty. The Corn and Butternut Enchiladas were good, though not quite as memorable. I ordered mine with regular cheese instead of the vegan option. The patio was comfortable, and the location made for an enjoyable lunch stop.
