I decided to try this spot out after a young lady told me about it. She just went on and on and on with her praise of the hot dogs and the chili. Long story short, it is now my favorite place to eat. I always order a custom made chili dog with light mustard and light relish. A real treat for about $3 or $4. The chili alone is worth more than that. I also had the Italian beef. I had the spicy version. Couldn't stop eating it long enough to cool my tongue. It was delicious. I will try more menu items in the future. Owners are great! Highly recommended! read more

Was driving with my son yesterday, passed this restaurant and saw the Vienna Beef sign. I knew right away this was a good thing. I immediately turned around and decided to give this little spot a try. I have been disappointed with the Chicago Polish spots, I have tried here in Atlanta, so I was not expecting much. As it turns out the owner was from Chicago, and knew his stuff! I ordered the Maxwell Street Polish, and it was delicious! I have been to this place twice. It's tiny and not at all fancy, but it's clean and the folks behind the counter are very nice. I'm not a Chicagoan, but I've had a few Chicagoans school me on thing like Italian Beef and Chicago dogs and Baby Al's is worth trying. I have had both here and will return for more. I'm from Chicago and I know what Chicago food is all about. My first visit to baby als my beef was on point. My second visit the beef was two salty. I contacted the owner the next day to inform him off my experience. Well I got a second hand excuse. My last visit on January 10, 2016 the food was not up to standards. I ordered the beef. My beef barely had any meat. My grandson ordered hot wings. The wings barley had any sauce and was very dry. Also, I ordered the chop steak with mild sauce, mayo and grilled onions. The steak had two little pieces of onions, very little mayo and mild sauce. The steak was dry. I spent $26 for nothing. I will not return to baby als. read more

T.L. Lewis, the owner, is very friendly. The Chicago style hot dog is first rate. The fries I had to think about. The thin crispy ones were good. The thicker ones I would have liked crispier too. After I ate, T.L. told me I could ask for them cooked the way I wanted. Though they would not have it in Chicago either, I think T.L. Should think about having ice tea in these parts. I am from Louisiana and grew up eating fried fish. Since moving to Georgia it has been very hard to find well seasoned fish fried to flaky white perfection. I have found it. The fried fish at baby Al's is very very good. I order it sometimes 4 times a week. Never disappointing. The tilapia is my favorite. Keep up the good quality guys. Been putting this off for a while but I want to give credit where credit is due. This is a Chicago style eatery. That doesn't really mean a lot to me because I don't know anything about Chicago food. However, I enjoy everything they serve. What I really rave about though, is the fried Tilapia. The owners are wonderful unselfish people. On two occasions we ordered pickup and couldn't get there in time. We were surprised to look up and see the owner at our door, food in hand. This restaurant is a jewel in our community.
