The burger sliders were very good! It came with an interesting touch to it, a vile? of aoli? Inserted into the burger. Whatever it was, it was good lol.

My boyfriend was drawn in to BABY BUNS, and was intrigued the PORK JAWNS. With a name like that, they have to live up to the hype to represent our city! First off, they took a bit too long to make. At a food hall like Bourse, I'd like to get my food quickly, and then have a seat, and there was a bit too much waiting IMO. The wait wouldn't have been so bad if the buns blew me away, but they simply didn't. They were underseasoned and underwhelming. The pork was topped with slaw and chipotle mayo, but it didn't do much for me at all. I'd be interested to try their other buns to see if they're any different, but I wouldn't order the pork jawns again.

$16 impossible burger (served vegan!)

The chef/owner is a SUPER nice guy. I just will never spend $16 + tax and tip again on two itty bitty veggie burgers. Yes, they are the hyped up Impossible Burger but come on. How is the fancy truffle burger with Kobe beef at $12 less expensive? Poor guy must be paying retail prices for those impossible burgers.

The raw chicken sliders I was served.

Disappointed, we finally stopped in at the Bourse when this place was open and made the mistake of trying it out. Terrible and expensive, chicken sliders were served raw and beef sliders were severely overcooked. Buns were mediocre and cold. Churros tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Service was slow. Avoid at all costs. Attempted to reach out before writing this review but never received a response.

Sampled the Taiwanese fried chicken thighs: sweet chili sauce, House pickles, chipotle mayo, brioche- AMAZING FLAVORS!!! The venue is decorated so cute too!

Served me raw burgers - when I brought it to their attention, they agreed with me, but didn't apologize or show they cared.

I'll start by advocating that Village Whiskey lives up to its title of having the best burger in…read morePhilly. I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

The wait staff informed me that there was NO ROOM for us in the EMPTY seating area, so we were seated next door in the bar area. If you can tell me why there was no room in an empty restaurant for a party who arrived ON TIME, please someone let me know. At any rate the bar area was fun and lively but a bit narrow to navigate. Since it was happy hour, we ordered all of the $6 Snacks and some $8 snack items. OOOK, here we go: Hot chicken slider( you only get 1 folks) very good and had the right amount of toppings 5/5 Pulled pork slider: Very flavorful, juicy, and tender: 5/5 Caesar salad: 5/5 Deviled eggs. Good, but too salty Fried pickles: Good, but too salty Chicken & Andouille Gumbo: This was excellent. The braised chicken thighs were seasoned well and very tender. The pickled red onions really elevated this dish. 5/5 The grilled salmon had a great char and crunch. It was not dry nor over cooked. 5/5 The burger was delicious just as a burger should be and the famous duck fat fries were very crunchy. 5/5 for both Happy hour is really the time to go, but make sure they honor your reservation. Til we eat again....

On a whim, I called Butcher Bar and told them I know it's last minute on a Saturday night, but could they accommodate 9 people. They told me if we were there in 30 minutes they could make it work, so we rushed over. We sat at the bar for drinks as they cleaned up a table. They overheard us talking about how The Trough would be nice (feeds 8 for $300, but was more than enough for us 9), and said if we wanted that they could get it started as the table was prepared. We said yes, and were sat a few minutes later with drinks in hand. Jenna (Gema? She had grape earrings) was a fantastic server and just so kind and attentive. She kept the drinks flowing and The Trough arrived sooner than I expected and was everything I wanted for dinner and more. I can't thank Butcher Bar enough for saving the night for my 40th and just providing a fantastic experience. We'll be back, and we promise to give more notice next time! :)

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.
